Ive managed to sort out most problems I was having....However.......

Even after clearning achivements from all users, recounting....etc. There are some users (approx 4-5) who still have vbookie achievements in thier postbit even though on the main vbexperience achievements page it says no one has them.

Is there a way to fix this?

Only one question. Can someone explain to me, in simple terms, how to get the overdrive award? I'm seeing it is, by default, based on 100% activity, and I'm looking at the settings as to what that means:
Avg posts per day and Avg posts per 30 days is set to 614.6
Avg posts per 7 days is set to 128.9
Timeframe for Activity - 60

So, it kinda sounds like in the span of 60 days, you have to post, on average, 614 posts per 30 days and (is it AND, or OR) 128 posts per 7 days.

Can someone confirm this? These are all the default settings, btw.

I recently installed this addon, but I'm having to fix a bunch of stuff in the style. Not a problem, figuring most of it out through trial and error, but one's stumped me.

no youre not too late the example is still up. im not sure about the points remaining. maybe you could take a fixed number (total points) and minus the users points by making a variable. way beyond my skill level though sorry.

1 have 3 achievments for Posts count.

100 Posts
500 Posts
1.000 Posts

Ok, i have i have 500 Posts, with option to override the 100 Posts... It works perfect...100 Posts no more appears..

But When I set up 1.000 posts to Override 500 Posts...nothing happens and both appears.

doesn't it support multiple overides?

There's no sense to show lower achievments when u get a new one bigger.

OK...that's one point.

Another point i figured out. Is that if a set 10 achievments to show up on postbit...it keeps showing only default 5.

There is a user with a negative in misc and I don't have any negatives set in the points. Infractions are set to 0.

And yes, I have done a recount. There are no forums excluded.

Working perfectly but i have a board with 36,000 members, i did a recount about 6 hours ago and so far it's on 8000 out of 36000 members. Is this normal for the recount to be so slow?

I got it installed and it is amazing. It tracks everything.
The only problem I have is when I look at my profile page and click on an Activity Award I won it directs me to a page called sas.php and there is no such page. It so it would be www.MIAClan.net/sas.php

i notice that post from deleted topic is calculated.

so for example, user A creates 20 spam topic, he will have 20 posts
even moderator deletes that 20 topics, his 20 posts still calculated toward his point

it is because while a thread deleted, table_post.visible still have value 1, but table_thread.visible have value 2

and vb experience recount calculation algorithm is (at class_xperience.php line 140)

Apologies if that has been asked. Currently, I am showing the level bar with description, so it is showing the points and level with the total bar (out of 100 levels) underneath it like so:

Points: 16,876, Level: 31
OVERALL LEVEL BAR HERE

What I want is to still show the points and level but have the bar for the number of points until the NEXT level like so:

Points: 16,876, Level: 31
AMOUNT TILL NEXT LEVEL BAR

I have the text and bar showing up underneath the users rank and I like the text being on one line (rather than 2 lines underneath the users posts). Is it possible to have the text I have, but change the bar to the amount till the next level?

Only solution I see is to strictly restrict achievements between certain range and say that users can loose them. :(

I had the problem with some users not having their achievements show up. I found out that they would appear again when a user would earn a new achievment so I just made an easy achievement like ">0 posts" and then they showed up for everyone.

I have another weird problem. For some of my users, their points disappear from the postbit_legacy template when they buy something from the shop. Points show up fine for everyone else, it's just the odd person and the only thing they have in common is it happened after they bought something. Ideas?

Did you install any levels? You need to install levels separately. Choose which levels you need and install it.

I am unable to add custom achievements. I put my icon in the xperiance icon folder and it does not show when I get to the point where I choose the icon.

Also with custom achievements, is ther a way admins can just grant them without them being automattic.

I had vBxperience for 3.8.. but have upgraded my site to 4.1.3
I didn't uninstall vBEx3.8 prior to installing vBEx4.0 (I just uploaded, & imported like it was fresh)

Upon install/upgrade it gave me this
for a complete kill use ZIP\extras\Remove vBExperience\upload_via_ftp\admincp\kill_xperience .php

the button said "Go Back" (no option to continue uninstalling vBEx3.8)

but in the directions is says in BOLD LETTERS..
Upgrade from vBExperience 3.8:
1. Install the product here: ZIP\extras\Remove vBExperience\install_this_to_upgrade_from_xperienc e38.xml". This product contains a fix to uninstall the old product without problems.
2. Uninstall vBExperience 3.8 product. DON'T USE KILL_EXPERIENCE!
3. Read the normal steps "Upgrade Instructions" above



So now i don't know what to do.?
It wont let me uninstall, & im afraid to enable it for 4.0.

Should i uninstall vBEx4.0, then uninstall vBEx3.8, THEN install vBEx4.0 again.!?
or
Just delete the kill xp.php & proceed to uninstall vBEx3.8

If worse case scenario is i lose all prior xp thats not a big deal.. it had been disabled for months anyway, but if i can keep the old info that would be great. :D

I'd like to be able to let users win points from tournaments in ibProArcade and also allow users to wager points in the Triple Triad game.
Are both of these features supported? If so, how might I go about doing this?

I've installed vBExperience, and getting accustomed to the settings. I'm wondering why everyone has 0% Overall Activity? Have I imported the wrong vbexperience_level xml file? I imported vbexperience_level_7_crazy.xml because we have almost 32,000 members and it's growing steadily. Would a smaller experience level make a difference in the Overall Activity?

I ran the Assign Achievements counter, and it ran for well over 90 minutes, and I left it running overnight while I went to bed. This morning there was a "server rest" error message on the screen. What should I do about that? Why did the counter take so long to run?

I'm not sure cbiweb but it could be because you asked your server to run too many operations. Sometimes there is a limit on how many you can run. I'd contact your host.

I have a question: I want to remove the infractions and arm of the law from the stats and profiles, I've looked for them in the files but can't find where to remove them. I've disabled everything I have found. What am I missing?

I had vBxperience for 3.8.. but have upgraded my site to 4.1.3
I didn't uninstall vBEx3.8 prior to installing vBEx4.0 (I just uploaded, & imported like it was fresh)

Upon install/upgrade it gave me this
for a complete kill use ZIP\extras\Remove vBExperience\upload_via_ftp\admincp\kill_xperience .php
the button said "Go Back" (no option to continue uninstalling vBEx3.8)

but in the directions is says in BOLD LETTERS..

Upgrade from vBExperience 3.8:
1. Install the product here: ZIP\extras\Remove vBExperience\install_this_to_upgrade_from_xperienc e38.xml". This product contains a fix to uninstall the old product without problems.
2. Uninstall vBExperience 3.8 product. DON'T USE KILL_EXPERIENCE!
3. Read the normal steps "Upgrade Instructions" above


So now i don't know what to do.?
It wont let me uninstall, & im afraid to enable it for 4.0.

Should i uninstall vBEx4.0, then uninstall vBEx3.8, THEN install vBEx4.0 again.!?
or
Just delete the kill xp.php & proceed to uninstall vBEx3.8

If worse case scenario is i lose all prior xp thats not a big deal.. it had been disabled for months anyway, but if i can keep the old info that would be great. :D

This mod is not an "easy" one. Not sure how new you are to vB, but if REALLY new, you might want to start somewhere else first. But if you want to give it a shot, go to the folder where you downloaded it to, & inside there is a file called readme_install_uninstall_upgrade.

Open that in Wordpad or Notepad. It should give you a good head start.
READ ALL OF IT before you do anything.!! :)

xcitezone: check the dates on the achievements. Some of them are off. Even if they registered a year ago, they'll get the 7 days, 31 days, 60 days etc...

How hard is it to add hacks to the list to count? Like I have the post ajax thanks and I'd like to be able to add an award for thanking and receiving thanks.

Help, please. This is my first add-on where I need to upload files first before installation. How do I do this?
I have Filezilla (and Core ftp) and uploaded the contents of the file upload folder to there. Is there something I need to do to make it transfer to my vbulletin forum? I logged into my hosting site (Hostgator) and went to ftp transfer from there. I thought I had it set correctly but I guess I might not. Does anyone have something like a video tutorial I can watch for how to install this?

When I go to Admin CP on my vbulletin forum and try adding a product it says I need to upload files first, but I can't figure out how to do this. Sorry I'm such a noob, I've tried searches and am clueless at this point.....

These are POINTS, not postings. If you change the points for postings to 5, you will get five times more points than postings.

First thing you don't upload the folder as it is you have to open the folder and upload files one by one into specific directories... !!!


Open... UPLOAD VIA FTP"

admincp folder= open it and upload xperince_admincp into your forums' admincp

Includes folder= put all the xml files in your forums includes folder then
open CORN folder and put all 5 files into your forums corns folder then open XML folder and put those three files in your forums' xml folder.

xperience folder= upload this whole folder in your forums root directory

xperience xml file = upload that also in your forums root directory.

After all this you go to admincp and import the xml file of level 1 or level 2

I have a very small plugin request that i think wouldnt take but a few changes to an existing plugin. I really wish i understood the coding, and i have tried using the custom data base provider you supplied, but i just cant figure it out on my own. Please see what i'm asking for:




In the database for the triple triad game in the table called dbt_triad_cards, you'll find a list of all the battle cards that are in the shop for sale. Each card has its own id as you can see in the image under the column called "cid". I made my own example card called 'TEST1'. It has the number 111 as its ID.

Now, lets say you got the TEST1 card in your inventory of cards. If you'll look at the image below, this is the database table called dbt_triad_playercards. It is where each player's own personal cards are stored. In the vbulletin admincp, if you go to the USERS list, you'll see that i am User 1. If you look at the column called 'p_userid', this is the ID of the vbulletin user. As you see, I currently own 12 cards. Notice that card number 111 is on there. This is the one I created called TEST1. Both the 'cid' number from above and the 'p_card' number here match.

Now for what i am asking. All I need is for Vbexperience to look at the 'p_card' number, then look at the 'p_userid' number.
For the achievement to be earned, the player must own that card. Or, what it would look like in VBE:

This will give a player an achievement for having the card called TEST1, or cid #111. The icon for the achievement will show other people playing the game that he has this card. This may make them want to try and battle him for it, trade with him, steal it, whatever. Do you see where I am coming from here on this? :)

I'm not a coder obviously, but i would think it would only take editing words from one of these triple triad plugins to make this request.

Help! I installed the program. I can access Admin CP ok. When I try to go to the forum, I get a white page that says this:

That's the table where all activities are stored and which is used for calculation of the activity score. You can empty it, or just delete older entries, its beeing filled with new data automatically. Historical data gets lost this way. It does not affect the points a user has.

Hello I made sure to follow the directions very closely. Everything seems to be fine expect my images when i click manage awards or achievements it displays all the images but they are blank with no image. How can I enable the images? I uploaded the xperience folder to the forums root like I was told too. Has anyone experienced this? Any help would be much appreciated :)

Man, do I want this mod. Here's the error I'm getting after I feel everything is installed properly and I enable the product:

Seems strange. vBulletin did not overwrite the old data. I removed the levels and installed Level 4 Huge and did a recount. All is working now.

now it looks like 24200 68

so the experience level 24200 should have people at lvl 68 right? but when i do a recount people get level 22 while they should have 68 i think

i deleted it again, did a reset imported lvl 3 (or 4) then i did a recount and its like :

I'm trying to figure out how I can set up awards for specific user groups. In Edit Award > "settings" I'm given the option to apply this to specific users' IDs. I want to apply it to specific User Groups (most active moderator, etc.,) How is this done?

There is something wrong with the statistics. The points for posts is showing but then the postcount is mirroring that but the actual post count of those users is a good 2000 (at least) less.

Custom assigned awards aren't working for me.

There are also a number of other bugs. For instance, points and stats are miscalculated and achievements aren't replacing old ones, even when specified. Several profiles have achievements they didn't earned and I've tried recounting, deleting and rebuilding the databases.

Display Order
The Display Order decides which promotions will be taken in first place. So if there are two promotions for one usergroup, it will promote the user only on the first promotion that meets the conditions.
A Display Order of 0 will deactivate a promotion.

Can somebody help me with a bug? All of a sudden the "Points for threads" got 0 to all of my users. I did the recount, and i still got zero for every user (no matter how many threads the user started). In points area, the value is 4 for each thread started... so i don't understant what's going on :(

I have an interesting bug I think.

I am setting up achievements for getting threads rated.

The way I am setting it up is you start by getting a base and then move up to the next. I am trying to make it work so that when you get the next one it takes the place of the previous, which works for all except the first. No matter what the first achievement (the base one) sticks.
