Yes, this is by default. Usergroup#6 (Administrators) are excluded from awards. There are several boards where the admins/staff would gather all available awards.

If you are getting another award than you are the best in that category, too. The system decides depending of the category and display order.

Yes. I see now that when I enable up to 5 awards each I see the arm of law award, but if I have 3 I dont see it. So it must be related to the display order.

I seem to have a problem with post counts being doubled.

For example, I've got 506 posts but it's somehow thinking I have 1012, bit of a nightmare with "You've made xx posts" achievements and such.

A: Conditions in achievements and promotions are calculated in POINTS, not in count of items.
If you create an achievement for reaching the first 10 Days, you must enter the points needed for this. If you reward 2 points for every day, you have to set 2 points for every day since registering. Calculation: 10 days * 2 points = 20 as condition. So you will have to set 20 as the condition.

Maybe in 4.0.1 I will display the converted points to the enduser, not the real required points.

That is because you have MySQL 4.1 installed. "Order by" with "Group by" is a no-go. I'm already working on a version that is compatible to that very old MySQL.

This not an error related to vBulletin 4.0.5. It seems you installed an old version or didn't upgraded the v3Arcade Plugin. Please uninstall the vBExperience v3Arcade Plugin and install the version that is delivered with the GOLD version again.

This is relevant to vBExperience 3.8, not vBExperience 4.0 - vBulletin 4.0 hasn't such a menue anymore.

What exactly is not working? The awards are assigned to users beeing the best/first. This must not change everyday, if the users don't loste/gather new points that would change the ranking.

Regarding vBShop: No, vBShop is not compatible to vBExperience. If you are searching for a working Shop System: The Points Market System v3 is fully compatible.

It does not work this way, as vBExperience overwrites it. Don't say it works if you didn't tested it.

i want the achievement to be registered for 1 day, so what do i put? what do i put for a year?

If you didn't change the points for a day it is worth 2 points.
So one year with 365 days would mean 730 points.

The query is showing up correctly in in SQL though, showing cnt_images 899 sum_views 200399 for user id 1. my PP database is named 'gallery'

Yes the table is named PP_photos, the DB is named 'gallery'. I believe in PP6 the DB was the same as the forum DB, in PP7 you can specify your database name (in my case, it's 'gallery').

- Categories will be changed from User, Post, Thread, Misc to the new better suitable User, Publishing, Social Network, Misc.
- Improved recalculation, now just calculating only specific categories, e.g. if user posted, just recount points for posts
This improves the overall performance, but not if you use the recount feature to recalc all data
- Calculate points starting at a certain date
- Username Awards Issue - fetch_musername comes before cache_templates
- Achievements that can replace each other (10 points -> 20 points)
- Achievement and award image embedded in templates
- More permissions
- Option in UserCP that allow the users to turn on/off the notifications
- Place the bars freely in postbit
- Displaying real requirements instead of points in achievements and promotions

You will just import a higher level file and recount. Please read more about this in the textfile readme_levels.txt

The points are updating every 10 minutes via cron, for users who have done any activity on the board.

This counts only if you defined a level xml that uses this.

Are you sure you've already updated to GOLD? Cannot confirm otherwise this behaviour.

No, there is no possibility to exchange features between the modifications. vBExperience can replace the vBCredits functionality in collecting points. It's just not called Credits, it's called Experience and Points.

Even people that havent got nearly as much or are kinda newer than that ALL are almost to reach level 100 or have done so already. Thats no fun. There are instructions in the readme_levels.txt which level file should be imported. There are different level definitions as there are incomparable forums out there.

Currently the promotions are not supporting multiple conditions. This is planned for vBExperience 4.0.1
Additional usergroup promotions are a nice idea, I think I will integrate this.

Uhm, sounds a bit difficult, as the leagues are variable.
I suggest to create an award for each finished league and assign that award manually to the winner. That way you override the automatic assign.

actually i did do that. My top users are all at level 100, even my not quite tops are averaging 95-97. I have the smallest level xml you have available. My site is around 300 people. What would you suggest? Thanks

vBSoccer.xml plugin fetch only Points from vBSoccer for specific user which they reach there.
With this plugin there is a possibility to give users points in vBExperience for everyone bet they done in vBSoccer.
Standard Point for every bet is set to 1.

I'm still confused, 3 days have passed since i have installed the mod...and almost all members of my board have 99%+ of activity listed.

I have changed point values, days for calculating PPD.....but the changes are eg.: 99.7% to 99.3%.....

I think i didnt understand how it calculates the activity..... there's somewhere i can put a total pojnt values by day for a member reach 100% activity?

The 100% is a value that is generated by the average activity count of the whole community.
Did you changed something in the settings that affects the "Average Posts Per xx days" settings?

Please execute a manual recount and check the activities for all members via rankings.

You can do it for your own, writing a plugin for vBExperience is very easy. Otherwise I will add this to my todo list.

Automatic awards are calculated that way. The script must know who should get this award. Select the fields which are relevant for this award, for example post thanks field, to give the best user that thanked most that award. Based on the result the award is assigned to the user who gets most points with that.


oh, one more thing:

With this you can do not only one award, you can do a second and a third place. For example, Best/gold Post Thanks User, second/silver Post Thanks User, third ...

i noticed on the achievements that for instance you have a field that is: days since registering > 14. but the achievement is for 7 days registered. Why 14 in the field then? It looks like all the days are doubled in each one of those type achievements.

I would really REALLY love to use vbexperience achievements and awards with the dragonbyte Triple Triad program. Any chance of an integration in the future for this maybe? It would be awesome to get an achievement for so many victories, buying so many cards, losing so much, etc. I could think of all kinds of achievement possibilities here. :)

me again. Ok, I had a different awards mod back before vbexperience. All of my awards are 32x32 pixels. Is there a way to let me use those with that size instead of the little 16x16 pixel ones? I see there is two drop downs. One for the 16x16 small icons, and one for a bigger 34x34 icon. What are the 34x34 icons for? Could I use them to display in my postbit instead of the small 16x16?

Just rename the 32x32 images to the 16x16 one and you can use them everywhere.

Ok, it would seem that your image can only be seen and picked in the drop down if it has _16.png at the end (for the smaller 16x16 icons) and _32.png (for the larger 32x32 icons). If for instance you just uploaded a file called star.png, it wouldnt appear in either dropdown. It would need to be star_16.png to show up in the smaller icons dropdown.

When i upload my 34x34 icon into the correct folder and rename it so that it has the _16.png (its name is E1-Yaddle_16.png), it lets me pick it, but it scales the image down to 16x16 once you actually see it on the forum. I just want to show it without any scaling at all. Is that possible?

34x34 is a non standard file size for icons and similar.

Yes. Via plugins (read more about it in ZIP\extras\Custom Data Provider) you can collect points for this and set the achievement to this field.

It does not check for UserID, so maybe it's a guest? Or does this happen to all users?

i have only 2 user, 1 admin and the other 1 is registered user.
admin upload attachment, reg.user download from the attachment, no point subtract for the user (i set user point to 1000) should be 500 after download right
and same with user, user upload attachment, admin download, there's nothing happen with the admin point, but in the statistic log the same, date only, without userid

i have only 2 user, 1 admin and the other 1 is registered user.
admin upload attachment, reg.user download from the attachment, no point subtract for the user (i set user point to 1000) should be 500 after download right
and same with user, user upload attachment, admin download, there's nothing happen with the admin point, but in the statistic log the same, date only, without userid
Where exactly are you downloading the attachments? Which vBulletin version are you driving?
Cannot confirm that behaviour with thread attachments on vBulletin 4.0.5

You need to hook in the process during calculation of the points, as vBExperience does a queued recount on users points. This is the part you could rip off from Point Market System as well, not just the other things.

Love your mods, but i have a problem. After i imported the addons for:

As long as vBShop does not suppport vBExperience there is no chance.



Please click "Mark as Installed" to get support.

Edit the Award via AdminCP and enter the UserID of the user into the manual assign field.

Currently not supported on navbar. If you remove the permission for guests on the memberlist, guest cannot view vBExperience.

There is no award.php in vBExperience! Manage Awards can only be done via AdminCP, Experience, Manage Awards.

The error is causing by "Discussion Ender". Disable it by setting the points for it to 0.

Delete all issued achievements and recount achievements.

Also, I see that your members are mostly level 100. Please import another level product to fix this. Read more about this: readme_levels.txt

vbexperience_level_6_ultra.xml should be good for you.

There is something wrong with the achievements. I suggest to execute "Clear all issued Achievements and Logs" and do a recount on achievements.

This will not work this way. You cannot issue an achievement to a single thread. If you want to do such an Hot Thread achievement you will have to write a plugin and do your own calculation (f.e. searching if user has a hot thread) and fill the data in a field that the achievement will read it.

Also, since installing this, I'm getting spammed with sql error messages via the automated script to my email. Same or similar sql error above (sql server timed own (or gone away)).

I don't know if all of these are caused by the error you mentioned above. But 1) I can't find the area to assign a point value for the discussion ender, 2) I've since cleared achievements/logs and recounted and the numbers have come back down dramatically (as far as # of members) so maybe that will do it. I'll keep you posted on this particular issue.

Just need to find where to modify points...

AdminCP, Settings, Options, Experience: Points. There you will find also the point values for infractions. A 0 disables the calculation of this. Discussion Ender needs much CPU.

Did you read already the readme_optimization.txt?



I've disabled GAP too.
GAP does not eat ressources. Just disabled that points that you don't need (set to 0). Achievements needs also more power.

Found the points area, thanks. I optimized what I could (by changing point values to zero on some activities...if that does anything).

However, a few questions:

1) When do you recommend recounting the Achievements? How do you know when you should recount them?

2) Also, for the option "Limit the Award to a position in query; Use 0 for GOLD Award, 1 for Silver, etc..."...where you can select Gold, Silver or Bronze, what exactly does this mean?

3) For the "Referrals" activity...the award (http://www.onlinedebate.net/forums/xperience.php?go=awards) is not matching up with what shows in the statistics. The award winner isn't even close to being in the top 3. What's going on?

btw, thanks for the terrific support. Like others have said...it's probably the best supported mod here.
