you do not have permission to access this page. This could be due to one of several reasons

In "Ignore Groups" settings I have 19,20 which are different groups.

Is there any other settings for usergroups access to Experience?

UPDATE: Figure out that "Can View Member Info" in Usergroup settings has to be YES - why this connected to experience?!

Most things are working properly, however I found out that the recent Activity does not show any activity except one activity one week ago.

I have recounted the activity in admincp, but the result is the same.

Anyone knows why the recent activity is not updating?

Good luck getting support. I contacted the developer and he basically said he no longer supports it, then disabled his PM here.

vBExperience 4.1 for vBulletin 4

Tested with all Version of vBulletin Forum and Suite 4.0.4 -> 4.1.11
So i'm guessing not a good idea to install on 4.2 PL3.?

Are there any alternatives that anyone knows about.?
Members are earning vCash thru the vBookie mod, but don't have much to use them on. lol

But I do pray that someone picks up and supports this mod in the same mindset that the original coder did, without crappy pro versions nor silly credits in my footer.

No issues for me on 4.2 PL3. Didn't even get a glimpse of a problem with the upgrade. I've also moved servers twice in the past 6 months, and up and running fine. http://www.solent-renegades.co.uk/xperience.php

However I have popped on here to ask about the xperience_stats_changes table. It is growing and has over 77K entries now. I cant see a way to purge older entries. I could go it by editing the database., but is anything from this table used to calculate recounts etc..?

Only 1 level will be visible but you can import a higher or lower level from your admin Cpanel.

Under Experience on the left just select the option to import another level.
Several levels are included in the package you downloaded.

It is working for me, as far as I can tell. Though I'm not sure the point market goes with it.

Do a search for activity and awards. I think you'll find something. I'm going to change to that.

I had problems with the latest update on 4.2.1, so I downgraded it to the GOLD version,and it all works OK, even remembered all the points settings I had made.

One little niggle I did get with both versions is compatibility with VBookie, I kept getting a database error, turned off the points for bets placed and it worked, no biggie.

If so, same here. After reading your post, I opted to install GOLD rather than BETA. Unfortunately, even with GOLD installed, I am getting these errors in AdminCP. However, the mod seems to be working fine outside of AdminCP, so I am not going to rush into installing BETA just yet. I am not sure if the errors are having any significant impact on the functionality of it.

In any case, I'd rather them not there. How should I go about fixing the issue? Will upgrading to BETA fix the issue?

Hey, is there anyway I can give my moderators the ability to add custom points? Basically I use the mod as an RPG experience bar and EXP is gained VIA completing quests rather than by activity, so we have to custom add the amounts. Right now I have to give someone complete access to the adminCP to enable them to edit and that's taking up alot of time.

This is a great product and everyone on my site loves it. There is one major issue with regards to the recount. Is there a better way to run this instead of starting each process and hope for the best? In other words is there a way to run each process with a starting point and a limit? When you run the recount on a small site probably not much of a problem. But when I run it on my site, with over 70k registered members and over a million post, it pretty much locks down the database and kills the site access at the same time until the process is released.

If you are using the beta version, try uninstalling and using the Gold version, that works on 4.2.1

How on earth do you add new icons? I've uploaded them to the xperience/icons directory, but when it comes to choosing them for New Awards etc. they aren't in the dropdown list.

EDIT: Ah, I see. You always have to add '_16.png or _32.png' to whatever file you upload, otherwise it won't fetch them.

I also noticed that not all achievements for users are being displayed in the postbit area. Heck, they have achievements within their profile, but not showing on the postbit. I have no idea what is causing this and recounting doesn't work at all.

The zip/rar file you download contains the level files you need to import using 'Import another level product' under the 'experience' tab in the AdminCP. Seeing you've already done so, you need to re-count everything using the recount option also under the experience tab. From there, update the 'experience points' and it should calculate the points per profile. Do know that the levels should being updated about hourly? (I believe) Seeing it's a cron job. Check the 'Scheduled Tasks manager' under 'Scheduled Tasks' to search the experience cron jobs and run them manually to see if there's any changes.

I am trying to use this mod with the Raffles (https://vborg.vbsupport.ru/showthread.php?t=262901) and it works ok to buy the raffle ticket with the experience points but just that it recalculates the points at some time and the user doesn't need to make posts anymore to enter the raffle, so i wonder how can the total points be cleared once someone spends them on the raffle ticket? or in a shop system?

An easy way to find what phrases deal with just the vBExperience mod is when you go into "Search for Phrases" put in the following:

Search For Text: Points
Product: vBExperience
Search in...: tick Phrase Text and Phrase Variable Name

Click "Find"

Hi this is very nice mod. however I'd like to do a clean install so I wanted to remove xperience.php first.

I've followed the uninstall instruction and also ran the kill script kill_xperience.php

However after I click on do it kill_xperience.php?do=kill

Then it just showing the word Remove vBExperience but nothing else is showing. and I checked the database all the databases are still there.

FYI, I found a join query that was running a little slow on every thread:

The solution is to add an index on xperience_stats for userid. This will actually help from scanning a lot of data, especially if you have a large forum.

Your tip was not helpful because this Hook did not exist in my templates:

If there are no bars visible at the postbit, you don't have a fully vBulletin 4 compatible postbit/postbit_legacy template. You will need at least $template_hook[postbit_userinfo_left] - make sure it's there. Take a look at the origin 4.0 template to see where it should be.

I've tried a few times to re-upload and re-install but I cannot seem to get rid of this error. It also generates the error in the "vBExperience vBGallery" plugin is disabled. If uninstalled, the recount works with no issue. I've also tried with just the gallery plugin alone.

Has anyone seen this problem? Can you please let me know how to fix it?

Anything has the potential to cause a lag on the site, but it is going to be different with each and every site. Best way to know is install it and see.

Great hack! One thing though. I use the DB Tech Advanced Post Thanks/Like modification but I can't seem to get this hack to work with it. I imported the plugin for DBTech like/thanks, recalculated all my stats but nothing. I have one of the awards set to give points only for likes/thanks but it's never awarded. Is there another setting?

Edit: it seems I didn't import the plugin for DB tech after all. I imported it and am recalculating all stats. I'll post the results.

I noticed I don't need to recount every time I change the settings of an award. It just uses the info form the last time I recounted. I can put this award to anything else and it assigns it but if I chose any of the thanks options, it doesn't award it. I use DB Tech post thank you/like hack.

I've tried assigning points for

- Getting Likes
- Getting Thanked
- Using Likes
- Using Thanks
- Points for the use of vS Hide Thanks

How can I get this to work?

Open the file, includes/cron/xperience_calc.php, in that file find the following:

$xPerience =& new xPerience;

Replace with:
$xPerience = new xPerience;

I'd like promotions to be handled the same way achievements are with conditions. That means instead of <this> OR <that>, all conditions must satisfy; <this> AND <that>.

Found the issue, fixed it.

I noticed the levels go by increments of 50points, level1 = 50points, level2 = 100points, level3 150points, anyway i can change this?

Yes and thats how I use it.

It will take some fiddling, doable though. I would tell you but it has been quite awhile since I did that.

Hi,
Previous vB version was 3.8 and now it's upgraded to 4.2.3
I upgraded in the way as mentioned in install and upgrade txt file, removed 3.8 product and then install 4.2 product. I checked in phpmyadmin that after removing 3.8 product, a table called vbexperience_stats is removed! So I created a backup of this table only to add it after installing 4.2 product.
Now everything is alright, except some rewards which are not shown in users' profiles.
I think I did everything properly, but don't know why this matter has happened.

So I've been playing around with the vBExperience plugin, and I've hit a bit of a hard spot. I'm adjust the width of the progression bars, but unfortunately the part that would "fill in" to match the appropriate percentage isn't keeping up.
