Man, I'm still getting tons of sql errors. It looks like it happens when the cronjob runs.

Until the cronjob sql error is resolved, I have to disable this modification. Great mod...just not working for my community for some reason. I even edited the cronjob's time to go every 20 mins (vs 10)...still didn't help.

Found the points area, thanks. I optimized what I could (by changing point values to zero on some activities...if that does anything).

However, a few questions:

1) When do you recommend recounting the Achievements? How do you know when you should recount them?
In normal case - never. This is just required if you changed something, for example added a new achievement.


2) Also, for the option "Limit the Award to a position in query; Use 0 for GOLD Award, 1 for Silver, etc..."...where you can select Gold, Silver or Bronze, what exactly does this mean?
With this setting you can define multiple awards like first, second and third place




3) For the "Referrals" activity...the award (http://www.onlinedebate.net/forums/xperience.php?go=awards) is not matching up with what shows in the statistics. The award winner isn't even close to being in the top 3. What's going on?

btw, thanks for the terrific support. Like others have said...it's probably the best supported mod here.
How many awards did you enabled for one user? Depending on that setting it can be that a user gets another award.

It seems your server or just the SQL server is not able to handle it. I got this "server gone" error whenever MySQL reached the limit for open connections. Did you tried already to use persistent connections? ("usepconnect" in config.php)

I've updated the ZIP with the working vBookie integration.
If you want to use vBExperience as a cash system for vBookie, you need to install ZIP\extras\Addons\vBookie.xml
Existing installations can be upgraded.

No other changes have been included, so no need to update the main product.

This is not really fast. I have customers with more users and posts where it takes less.
Myself I have an AMD Opteron 165 with 2 GB running on Windows Server 2008 32 Bit and with around 20k users it takes an hour.

You both should consider to optimize a little bit. Read readme_optimization.txt for more info how you can disable calc intensive operations.

My explanation is very simple: There is a limitation to 20 achievements per user. You have already 20 other achievements, so you will not get any further. I will lift this limitation to 50 with vBExperience 4.0.2

RollaJedi you can use exp points in the Point Market and the market has a currency converter,you might be able to set up a experience points to gils or what ever cash system you may be using and just have your users convert there "cash" so they can play with exp points (kind of)

At the Side Insigt Expirience, the user in the column recent activity are not Linked to the Userprofile. in the English Version it works.
It´s on your Demo in german too.

I am trying something creative. I downloaded and installed the ucash points mod. I think i would be able to have ucash look at the points earned in vbexperience and convert them into the ucash currency. In their settings, they have this:

description (what is on the left):
This setting controls what database table and field are used by uCash. Separate table name from field by a period. "TP." (case sensitive) at the beginning adds the vBulletin table prefix, only remove it if you are using a non-vBulletin table.
-Do not touch this setting if you are unsure.-

What is shown in the field box by default: TP.user.ucash

I would humbly ask what you would think i would need to put here instead of the TP.user.ucash

oh no, i didnt figure it out. I just use ucash and put the settings for how much you get for posts and threads as the same amount to be earned. If it were possible, i'd jump on it. but this is good enough for me.

This will not work. DBTech will have to make their products compatible to vBExperience, the other way does not work.

phalynx, i'm likely not going to keep this mod. you have to buy the pro version to really do much and i have heard some bad things about the support from its coder, plus its pretty expensive. so, i wouldnt worry about it unless you just want to add it for others, if you are able to.

Cannot confirm this. As I copy any PNG image to it, it is recognized. The images must end with "_16.png" or "_32.png".

search for:

replace with:

Cannot confirm this. As I copy any PNG image to it, it is recognized. The images must end with "_16.png" or "_32.png".

Like from Limited -> Standard I want the member to have at >19 post (1 point a post) and >14 days since registering. Well what happens is nothing... It won't promote at all even forced but if I drop the 14 day requirement then it works... Even if the member been a member for over 90 days!

Then another case... If I want to demote a user that isn't active <50% activity thats fine... But now give a promotion for people that are active >50% then it continues to demote everyone of that group... Never promotes anyone. (Promotes and then demotes right behind it).

I really do want to use this system but I'm having tough time making it work right...:confused:

If you set this up only on one condition than it works perfectly. Use the Activity field for that. Promotions can be found in AdminCP, Experience, Manage Promotions.

I have a prefix called "Trip Report" and I'd like to list under the user's avatar near the post count the quantity of Trip Reports threads they have started.

Currently I've disabled a lot of the features, put all of the points at 0 so I can try to pinpoint this single objective. I assume I'll need to edit something to display "Trip Reports" and count the number posted only from that prefix.

Can this mod accomplish this?

You would need to calc that with the help of CDP Custom Data Provider. Check the ZIP\extras\Addons folder for examples.

Not a good idea. Imagine 20 achievements with thousands of users. Just for 100 users you would get 2000 threads.

There is a bunch of examples in ZIP\extras\addons showing where points need to be collected and where they need to be stored.
You must collect and store the points.

I have a problem with the member profile tab,if I enable it all other tabs from addons disappear,from the arcade to the downloads section and itrader all go blank,the tab itself is there but with no content,when I disable the memberinfo plugin for experience all the other tabs work again but I have no achievements list in the sideblock of the profile.

For now I've enabled the plugin and just removed the code from the exp tab template so I have my achievements list but no exp tab obviously,is this a known issue,is there any fix?

I've tried disabling all other mods 1 by 1 and checking and exp tab is the only one that when enabled messes up other tabs.

i have also the same problem on my forum!

phalynx I noticed today that some members tabs do show and others don't.

there seams to be no obvious explanation,its not a usergroup thing because I can see my tabs yet I can't see another admins tabs,this goes for all usergroups,some people have empty tabs some don't.

If you are not satisfied with the one, install the other. One goes for the score, the other for the feedback points.

i upgraded to the newest vbexperience. All my achievement icons are 16x16 again. Your file called 'functions_xperience.php' must be different now because i can't find the place inside the file where i changed the 16x16 size to 34x34 size.

Previously you had told me:

Edit functions_xperience.php,

search for:

Also, promotions are working - what are you missing here? Demotions need a workaroung by doing it with an extra thing.

Ok, so you must do a clean install and afterward do an uninstall:
- Install the attached file - I just removed the dependency to vBExperience 3.8
- Uninstall it

Promotion currently works just with primary, but will work also with secondary with 4.0.3

As for the history and restoring action... this is a no go for me. Either you set up a condition and let it be or you need to do it completly manually.

I ve returned to previous version and remove also the tab plugin in members profile since i cant manage to make it work also in that version.

Its a wonderful product with so much power and i feel really sorry that i cant get it fully working...

Phalynx in my nonstop search for a cure to my memberinfo tabs problem with them disappearing I found a fix,I'm not sure why but the conditionals in the template xperience_memberinfo_block are the cause.

its the conditionals like this

Phalynx in my nonstop search for a cure to my memberinfo tabs problem with them disappearing I found a fix,I'm not sure why but the conditionals in the template xperience_memberinfo_block are the cause.

its the conditionals like this
<vb:if condition="$block_data[xperience_points_user]<>0">after removing all of them from that template the tabs now all work on all members,I have tried this on multiple styles and it has worked every time.

Just found another bug, my admin achieved more than a dozen achievements, his achievements displayed everywhere but not in posbit location, all other users achievements displayed correctly in posbit and all other locations. Any one else having this issue?

I can't see achievements for any users in the postbit since updating,I'm sure phalynx will fix it in the next release

EDIT: Scratch that last sentence I wasn't updated to 20100821.zip,updated and can see achievements again

I, and other members on my forum, randomly get these every so often: "10:20 PM Sledge has lost -20 Points for Posts points" How do you LOSE points? And why/what are points being taken away for? I've also seen it say "lost -20 points for THREAD points". What does this all refer to?

Also, how is activity calculated? I saw some of our best members are showing 0% for Activity. Perhaps I overlooked an answer to this.

Next, is there a way to allow others to see all the Achievements you have unlocked? Maybe even a way to choose which ones appear in your postbit?

Finally and most important, ever since I installed the iTrader Feedback Score tab is not working on the Member Profile page. Whenever you click the tab, the page will load, but the Feedback Score table will not show... except on your own page. Any ideas?

Phalynx in my nonstop search for a cure to my memberinfo tabs problem with them disappearing I found a fix,I'm not sure why but the conditionals in the template xperience_memberinfo_block are the cause.

its the conditionals like this

EDIT: Scratch that last sentence I wasn't updated to 20100821.zip,updated and can see achievements again

All achievements of a user are listed in the profile. Choosing achievements has been added to todo list.

You need to clear issued achievements and run a recount on them. Otherwise the relevant data will not be stored to the user table.

I need to know a more specific error message. Line 7 is a call to a function. Do you have a php error log running?
