maybe someone can help me out with this. I have this ad manager, but I want to prevent it from displaying in the classifieds_showad section of the site. I can get it to stop showing in the entire classifieds section, but not specifically on the "ad" page. Do I have to add some sort of title or somthing to classifieds_showad?

I have been using the left column for quite some time. Today I switched and turned off the left column, and turned on the right column. When I do this no ads show up on either side. When I turn both on they both show up. How can I get just the right column to show up?

Also, when I have both columns up there is a gap between the left column and the forums, and no gap between the right column and the forums. How can I correct this so it is symmetrical?

There is a considerable gap between my ads, and my forums to the right of the ads. There is a gap within the ad strip table as well as the forum table. Also, is there any way to have the ads off to the left and my logo centered over my forum table, and not centered over the forum table and the Left ad strip? I am trying to achieve having my header centered, and appearing as if it were attached to my forum table, with the ads off to the left of the whole unit. Does that make sense?

I got 5.0.2 from Red Tyger's website, and it does not work with vb4 either. This is due to an issue with the new template functions in vb4.

I have a very simple Question as to were to place this code in the header template $vbam_location[headername] so the banner shows up next to the logo.

as of know it shows above my logo and I can get it to show below my logo

My logo is too the left and I want the banner to the right of it.

I have a similar question. I've added "$vbam_location[topright]" into my header template and saved it. Then I selected it in the "list of hooks" drop down box and clicked Save. It still appears below my logo, and I notice that the drop down reverted back to $ad_location[ad_header_logo]. Am I doing something wrong?

No I don't believe it is compatible. From what I understand vB 3 and vB 4 are very different in terms of the coding. So most mods for 3.0 or older are not going to be compatible with 4.0.

It really depends on what your site is about. Advertising can be a very lucrative. You can take on advertisers that are relative to the topic of your forum, and create revenue to either support your site costs, or to bring in an income.

Is there anyone who can help. I would like to move my ad strip to the right of my forums, just a bit to the right on the background. Is that possible? If so what do I need to do? Say I want a header ad to show up to everyone. Then I want postbit ads to show up ONLY to a specific group.

How do I do that? If I enable ads, ALL ads show, if I disable, ALL are disabled. Is it an all or nothing thing for the groups I put in for it to show or where can I specify to show header ads to all, postbit ads to group 1, 2?

in 4.2.2. there is the Ad Manager, go to:

AdminCP > Advertising > Manage Ads

Link should be: www.yoursiteurl.com/admincp/ad.php

In that you can specify some conditionals regarding how to display the ad.
