Nice try but profile shows most recent log in. I have yet to post a problem. I have not installed, as I have posted. When the laundry list is a few pages and the coder is on every day and does not address any of them....... There seems to be a number of people who "CAN NOT " use this.

I've always been curious about this thread, as to why it exists at all. Most questions about any mod involves support, so why is this non-support area for this mod here at all? One would expect the Add-On to be updated and the issues corrected. He has not even updated the original Posting to reflect compatibility except for in 1 place. The Original post is sloppy and you can not deny that, huge gaps, incomplete compatibility list. One would also assume that said Coder would not have to answer to a problem more than once if said problem was corrected in the Add-On.

Secondly he has no posted ANYWHERE since Jan 31st. That includes the Respective support forums.

I commend you on your support for a fellow coder, however none of my statements are incorrect.
Your under the misconception that every problem can be fixed just by tweaking a few settings in the add-on. That isn't always the case. Sometimes it's unique to individual forum owners, or something that can only be fixed with a manual edit to something on your website. Something the coder doesn't have access to.

after upgrading to vb4.0.2, the scores are not saving, saying "missing security token" or something.

It was working fine on 4.0.1 but after the upgrade it is going nuts.

Not sure if this is the correct place to post this, but I was looking for a way to have new high scores from the arcade shouted in the VSa - Chatbox and could find nothing in this thread, so I created this...

Obviously need to have VSa - Chatbox & ibproarcade installed. This is currently working for the latest versions of each on my site, which can be viewed HERE (http://www.jimclarke.co.uk)

Also create a new bbcode called 'siteurl' with the code
<a href="{option}">{param}</a>
(This makes the game link in the chatbox open in the same window rather than a new one)
Title = siteurl
BB Code Tag Name = siteurl
Replacement = <a href="{option}">{param}</a>
Example = Example Web Site
Decription = This open site urls in the same window rather than the default target="_blank"
Use {option} = Yes
Button Image (Optional) = Leave Blank
Remove Tag If Empty = Yes

Well, he's not supposed to be handling ALL of those questions by himself. I'm guessing his new baby stole his keyboard. Mine does all the time. This is supposed to be a community effort. I doubt any one of use could handle the hundreds of support questions a month, not considering the fact that a lot of them are repeat questions.

I did have a button on on the top menu that would allow a member to click it and go to the Arcade, but after upgrading to 4.0.2 it is now gone.

Dont know if anyone is interested, but I have hacked the arcade to work with ucash for charging and playing for points. There are quite a lot of edits involved so not sure if/where to post.

I've no idea if they can all be packaged up in anyway as I dont have any experience in doing that with vBulletin. Maybe someone knows.

You can see it in action HERE (http://www.jimclarke.co.uk) although you will have to register to be given any points to play with.

I am still testing at the moment but it seems to be working ok so far.

Have a read of the readme file in the zip folder you downloaded. There's a full explaination in it about the coding you need to add to the index.php to sort the security token issue ;)

Either are we - we've got the CMS Suite. Still just copied it onto the index.php and re-uploaded. Fixed the issue for us.

I too am getting the token error for the arcade. I have tried adding the code to index.php, content.php, and even forum.php to try it out. I have no idea what to do. I read the CSRP stuff to, that is all good to go, but to no avail. Guess I'll have to find another game mod that works =/

ibproarcade.com has free downloads, you download them and upload via ftp (or your cpanel whichever you use to upload to your forum) into your arcade/tar folder.

There should be an arcade tab in your admincp I wanna say under settings, go there and you can edit the settings and turn on the arcade. hope that helps.

I still get the errer; "Your submission could not be processed because a security token was missing."
I have tried pasting the code that came with in the compressed folder into index.php but yield the same results. I have the suite, and the error never started coming up until I updated to 4.0.2. Also note, I have performed a complete uninstall of the arcade and a complete reinstall.
If anyone has any other thoughts or pointers on how I/we can fix this issue, it would be greatly appreciated.

One Major Problem I have run into is that I have 7,500 games I wanted sorted into 53 categories, unfortunately the categories keep stretching page to the right instead of making a second column of categories. Meaning now the arcade section now has a huge horizontal bar.
Any Fix For This? Or Must I put 7,500 games in just 15 categories?

In your Admin CP click "Arcade Main Settings" and then scroll down and you will see "Amount of cats to show per row". That will allow you to sort how many categories per row you want. I set mine to 4, so each row only has 4, and then next 4 is underneath etc. etc.

I had Just downloaded and installed it and its working good so far on VB CMS 4.02!

I had issues with the game ending and clicking ok and going to localhost but then I followed the directions found in the "INFO - vbadvanced or another Portal.txt" Once I added that information to the top of index.php it started submitting the scores just fine with default games!

I don't see a "real" way to do this, but if I wanted to do this, I'd try deleting the game and reinstalling it. That would probably remove all scores, so I don't know if that is useful to you.

A more precise way would be to edit the database, but I just looked and couldn't find which table each game's Best Ever score is in. Perhaps someone here or in the support forum could provide that information.

Did you change the CHMOD of every folder and sub-folder?

I had a similar issue before where I had changed the CHMOD to 777 on the main folder, ticked the box to change all sub-folders too but when my ftp program was finished carrying out the command I found that half the sub-folders hadn't been changed. Had to do each folder individually to get it right.

Might be worth checking?

The issue went away when I reinstalled the IbProarcade with VB4 (I was using V3 arcade for a while on 3.8, as members wanted to save their scores) and it was functioning correctly for a while. but now it has returned again. Members reported it had stopped saving scores again, during a period of time when I hadn't 'tinkered' with our forum for at least a couple of weeks. I can't work out the cause.

I've tried almost everything now, including adding the index page code, and nothing has worked. I'm at a complete loss :(

I believe I fixed that by changing some of the stylevars. I believe they use the block vars.

Another probles I've had for the longest time is that the title of my page is messed. It displays the URL instead of what it is supposed to say. How do I fix that?

I tried searching for a solution to this problem, but couldn't find it in the 300+ pages for this thread!

I have a dark style on my forum, and everything works well except for Arcade. Please see attached screenshot.

You can't read the text. I was sure there used to be a place where you can change the colours of the background for arcade but I can't find it.

Reinstalling games from 3.5:

I have just updated to 4.30, after successfully running 3.5 (and previous iterations) with no problem. Now, I can't "find" my games. The four hundred or so games that I have are still in the "games" directory, and no doubt, still in the database, but the forum can longer see them, so I cannot install them.

Is there a SQL query that I can use to get all of my games back???

EDIT: I destroyed the "arcade_..." tables during upgrade to 4.03, blame the collation errors. I've reinstalled them into the database from a backup, but still cannot make the IBParcade "find" those games. Any sql commands to get those back??

I believe I fixed that by changing some of the stylevars. I believe they use the block vars.

Another probles I've had for the longest time is that the title of my page is messed. It displays the URL instead of what it is supposed to say. How do I fix that?

if you go to admincp>options>Title or something so can change all the names of of page titles for your forum and for you index page... they can be different. I think thats where i found it... lemme know if thats not it.

I also tried using the suggestions to make the arcade look better. I got major improvements by NOT storing my css as files, but that's a crap solution if you ask me, as it increases load times for pages. Surely there must be a better way?

As far as I know this mod worked well on 3.8... a great deal of the problems seem to be with styles in 4.

This was a great arcade in 3.8. All the problems are from 4.x

The problems I am having are on a clean install with no hacks installed other than this arcade. Even using the default styles.

I am having the security token error not a style error. Mr. Zeropage updated the support thread and stated a new version would be posted "soon".

This statement is not true for me.

I have made a completely new and fresh install. Fresh database and 100% new install. No style changes or hacks or plug ins installed. The only item installed is this arcade. When I went to create my new site, this was the first thing I wanted running. I have had this arcade running on multiple 3.x sites prior to this 4.0 version without any issues.

But just adding the code to the index.php does not fix this problem. I have posted the things I have tried and my results in the support forum.

As with many others, I continue to wait patiently and hope that the new version that is supposed to be in testing now will address this security token error.

Read back through this lost or go to the IBpro Arcade support section, that question is answered multiple times. Also read your documentation with this Arcade AND Go to your ACP, Arcade section, Information option. Read.

The other forum users and myself love the arcade, its running fine on vB4 with a lot of style changes that is, but one thing that I can't seem to figure out is where the arcade navigation is located (code wise that is), as I would like to remove it all together.

I have added all these to the sub-navigation on the website/forums, with that I do no longer have the need for the original.

If you fix it now, I doubt you'll have to go in for the same issue again anytime soon. Of course, any upgrade can leave you with templates that need to be updated, but I don't think you'll have to mess with this code again.

I think your missing somethings,unless you have a custom theme that has been updated with the fixes prior to install then all is fine.If your theme is not updated with fixes/edits then it's a mess,and you are left to do the edit's/fixes manually.

I've just converted to ibProArcade (from V3 Arcade) after I updated my forums to vb4.0 - but the layout looks borked - as if it's not using the forum theme at all. Anyone got any ideas?

Not that I'm a pro by any stretch of imagination but I did have some luck by deleting several lines of the arcade.css file from my style manager. (In my case.. the alt1 and alt2 stuff). I was actually instructed to look for items in the additional.css file but when that turned out to be of no benefit, I was very pleased with the results of removing some of the ARCADE.CSS file..

(also deleted all <legend> and </legend> tags from skin_Arcade.php and liked the results)

Now. If only I could get Marvin the Martian- Earthling Eliminator to submit something other than zeros... :)

It all installed great, I even managed to add it to the nav bar using a mod.

Howeveris there anyway to make the colour of it darker, or even mak all the text dark instead of the blue for game titles?

plus the games are default 4 per row, this made them overlap for me but by changing it to 3 a row it fixed it.

great add-on, but i have a problem when clicking on "submit score". instead of the arcade main page the forums main page appears. any idea?
