Will the new version support custom usergroups? Right now I have to have registered users allowed and would like to have just our members be able to use the arcade. It appears to only work for primary usergroups.

ibProArcade is full compatible to PHP4 and PHP5 and works with all vBulletin 3.x.x (yes, 3.0.x + 3.5.x + 3.6.x) with all the same Scripts !

also, half the screen seems to be lost on my style...it sort of dissapears to the right......and runs right off the style...pic enclosed..

EDIT >> probably some tinkering i was doing at some time, just UNINSTALLED the arcade, did a clean install, and its fine...until i submit a score...the main page then is full of the errors mentioned when i tried the original upgrade....

I get this error, but only when using PHP 5.2, when I revert back to 5.1.X all works perfectly.

Two possible bugs. When submitting a score, no avatars show up for users that have avatars (pictured below). Then when you submit the score, the user's avatar shows up but now with some text bugs. I typed: (I'm the man!) but it added a forward slash after the letter I (pictured below).

Converted from V3. Ran the converter, error free, said all was well. Tried to access the board, and got a database error. Tried to access admincp, database error. Posted an urgent request for help and after getting no answer, I was left with no choice but to restore the database.... my members were screaming in my email because they couldn't get in. Had to do something.

If I ever had a problem like that , I would be screwed, my host/server dosen't support SSH or cPanel all I get from them is phpmyadmin, which times out every time you try and restore something. Its caused me alot of screaming as well

I noticed after the upgrade a few mysql errors. I believe its because of the new integration with the tournaments. I suggest you wait for all tournaments to end before upgrading

I think there is a bug with this ibproarcade. A few members can't get into the arcade. It say that thei usergroup doesn't have permission to view the arcade. That's impossible because the settings are correct, even in the USER area too & The Usergroup area. But a few ladies can't get in and other's can under the same usergroup. It's really strange.. Can anyone give me any ideas..

I have a problem with the Your Favourites section of this mod on my current skin. It's working fine on the others but seems to look weird on my current skin.

I want to make the body come into place as it should rather than being split and taken to the right hand side.

I got a high score on Simon and Snake and they did not save , it said "the score could not be retrieved" , worked on the other games.

Is there a way to limit the number of tornaments that users can create? Like it I only wanted the to be a maximum of 5 tornaments?

Also, I have seen it so it shows what games that a user has won under his avatar. How do I do that?

The only option you have in the user groups is to allow them to play for free or not...
Obvioulsy I said not...

the new games log who is the new champ but dont log 3 stats on the users higscores being score - rank - high score age

ibProArcade just provides Hooks for the PlugIns, nothing more.

Well I installed for the greedy mommies on my board LOL I am using vb 3.5.4 and I did everything to a T. THis i smy first major hack in 2 years that I did on my own. It looks like it went good till I went to my admin CP and click on the links and I get this

I renamed my index.php (the forums) to forums.php and having my portal name index.php. After installing Arcade and finish playing again, it try to submit score to index.php?act=Arcade&do=newscore which is not my forums index file but my portal, so score does not submit. What do I make change to arcade to do the right submitting score job?

the first option in 'Group Permission' is for "Unregistered / Not Logged In"
switch that to "Can't View or Play Arcade"

IE if there not resgistered or not logged in it should not display. though i dont know how that works for the navbar, im not sure if it makes it disappear. if you have tried it tell me what happends

I'm glad you caught the meaning of my post.

Your idea does get me closer to what I want, however, is there a more granular code than this that would verifiy if the user has the rights to the arcade system, and if not, don't display the "Arcade" text in the navbar? I don't know the code, but I would guess there'd be a variable that could be referenced that would determine group rights.

I do thank you immensely for the first piece of the puzzle!

I'm hoping someone can help with the following.

I'm trying to add some google ads into the arcade template.

I've created a php file including the code and then set the following plugin:

include('path/to/forums/google.php');

ob_end_clean();

I've tried using the global_start hook for this but that didn't work so then I tried the ibproarcade_global_start hook but it's still not working.

Any ideas which hook I should be using?

I've just tried adding $google into the template but obviously this depends where I add it as to what other code I need. Ideally it'd be between the arcade navbar and the main content.

I've read that VBSeo was causing an error while submitin a comment with the score. Well, I have that exact problem, and VBSeo installed. Well, in fact, the problem is only with a "YetiSports" game I've installed. Maybe just a problem with that game or with the games with "gamedata" folder or something?

The lines in arcade.php seems to be fine.

I've got:

One thing that is minor, but it bugs me, is the new trophy icons. It shows for all members whether they have won tourney's or not. Is there any way to set it up so the members with 0 high scores the trophy does not show up?

yes your right thats what i have this way the sql dont get filled with scores that are meaningless also what would be nice is a way to not save scores of 0 cause that gets out of hand. today i went through the sql and there was like 1000's of scores with 0 so i removed them all. im looking to try and find a way to prevent the game speeder maybe if it reads there running it cause it has to send some kinda packet. so maybe if i can find out which i can limit it or ban it.

Is there a way to have the permissions to play/view/etc look at secondary usergroups? I have all my members in the Registered Member usergroup and then add them to additional group(s). I have assigned access to play the arcade for certain usergroups only, and those are secondary ones for the users. So the arcade gives a message that the admin has disabled play for the usergroup even though I have set it up right, since it's for the secondary groups. HELP!

I did everything the rules ask of me to do....but the arcade still does not work.

I am running vbseo, would that be a problem?

also, I do not have this folder in the left hand side of the admincp menu.
Now you should:

* Expand the menu "Arcade" in the left AdminCP-menu
* Click Group Permissions
* Adjust the permissions the way you want

Check out the Arcade Main Settings if everything fits your ideas.

Finally click Categories in the left menu, click SAVE - there is no need to change anything, just save the settings once.
The Arcade is ready to play - enjoy !

But Arcade isnt able to save highscores and points me to http://www.politikstube.de/forum/ every Time i click any Submit Score Button in any Game. That?s no wonder because if forum.php is working i have a index.php at my Forumpath that makes a 301 Redirect to this URL. So Arcade is ignoring the Option to use forum.php at AdminCP.

So i have looked at the arcade.php and search for a hardcoded "index.php" but i cant find it to change it to forum.php.

After i rename forum.php back to index.php everything works fine again.

it wont let me add games i keep getting the error in FTP about changing the setting to 0777 so i done that didnt work so changed it too 777 and the same thing wont let me install the new games

all .tar files.

For some reason about 2 out of 3 of the new games I add won't save the score. I tried using the secure saving switch in the game setup but that doesn't work. Is there something I'm missing or do a lot of the new games not work with VBulletin?

i was trying to install this and it mentions to add some code to the functions_online.php file, but i dont have a functions_online.php file. :confused:

can anyone tell me what file im supposed to update instead?

this release stil has issues with the tournament system

had a 4 player system goin last night....

player 1 beat player 2, 3 beat 4....

it automatically eliminated players 2 and 4 as it should.......but then it put player 3 playin against player 3 in the final....and that aint right....

The top navbar shows up on every page except for the arcade.php page. It is part of the $navbar variable on all pages. Does anyone know how to fix this? Thanks in advance

Did anyone ever find a solution to that "two windows open, score submitted to the wrong game" problem? I've seen several posts about it happening, but I still experience the problem with the latest version of ibProArcade.

Quick question, what does this do to your forum/site performance wise?
I'm not too worried, as I've seen sites on shared hosting using this and vbshout without 1500+ members and it wasnt running too bad. I have half the amount of members, but a dedicated box. Any troubles?
