i have still install arcade on my forum but not with 777 .games running fine everything okay but the only problem i am facing i can not add more games in to it .soo it would be very good idea to have another way to install the game in to it widout using 777.will make it more secure .i know its downloaded lots of time may be that time this not come to attention or not occur but my forum got hacked too due to 777 port reason thtz why i am asking to make it more secure if possible
If a folder isn't writable, you can't add content to it. So I doubt it.

Your forum likely got hacked due to a security flaw in another modification. ibProArcade is secure and, like I said, people would be getting hacked all over the place if the 777 file was the sole way a hacker could get into a person's website.

I think this is a greatest mod ever. Unfortunatelly the main issue with ibProArcade is still there: most of the games don't upload highscores (too many users complaining). Also, cheating seems to be very easy to accomplish... This brought down the whole ideea for me to give tournaments prizes...

anyone know hoe to categorize games. like move sports games to sports, cartoon to cartoon, etc. i see you goto categories and add them but they dont show. then i saw this Selecting yes for show all will display all games in this category.
The Icons must be places in /arcade/cat_imgs/ if you want to use them.

I have a member stating that they are getting errors during tournament play and the system is recording their score as zero.

They tested it out on another forum and have confirmed that it works. The video was created on August 5th. Any hope for a fix?

You can set permissions for game categories but not individual games, so you'd put all the games you only want a specific usergroup to have access to into a category and set the usergroup permissions accordingly for that category.

i think you can ! just creat a new Category add the games for your vip usergroup then go to Group Permissions set Category-Permissons to default for non ((vip usergroup )) and ALL for your vip usergroup

I think "doomed" is a little strong. This has been the dance software has played with hackers for years. They find an exploit, the developer patches it. They find another exploit and the developer patches that one. One two three, one two three, step two three, dip two three...

I have an odd problem (x posted)

First time we've run a tournament so wasn't too sure how to do it.

I used my test account to take the last place but when I try to submit my score I get logged out. So I tried with my admin account and the same happened, and now the link has disappeared from my nav bar

I'm *very* new to vB so not sure what the problem could be.

ETA, its registering that I have played but the score is not saving. I tried a reboot but its still the same.

ETA - my other members can see the link still and I can if I log in with a different username but not with the username I was logged in with when I noticed the problem. Why would it not show for my main username?

Any ideas pleeeease?

Help! I have installed the arcade adn everything is ok other then the fact I do not have the " Arcade " menu in my Admin CP.... I must of missed something but I can not figure out what it is. Please help, I can not make any adjustments to permissions of settings, other then that the arcade appears to be working fine.

Go to:

1. AdminCP

2. Arcade

3. Group Permissions. When it opens up, you're going to see "level of access" at the head of each group that have on your site (registered members, administrators, moderators, unregistered, coppa, etc).

4. Click the pulldown menu for each group and check "can view and play" for the groups. Make sure the category permissions are set at "All" if you want everybody within that group to have access to all games and click the box if you want those members to participate in Tournaments but I think it defaults to that anyway.

5. Click save settings.

Go to your FTP server and make sure you've uploaded the "admin.php" from the "AdminCP" folder in your IBProArcade download labeled "upload."

EDIT... It is not there actually, I just checked my files and there is only a " Arcade.php" in the adminCp folder. So I checked the orginal download from here and it is not there either. Why would that be ?

No, it's not. There is no "admincp.php" in the folder "AdminCP." The arcade.php file within the Admincp file is the one you need to put inside of your admincp section in the FTP.

I followed all directions and loaded them through smart FTP, made the changes to the templates etc.. it is all there ect the sidebar admincp.

No, the arcade directory needs to be 777. That gives access to play the games. You do that by going into your FTP server, selecting arcade, right mouse clicking and the picking "properties." At the "Permissions" section, you can either type in "777" or click all of the "read, write, execute" files under User, Group, and Others boxes...

That doesn't explain why you're not seeing the Arcade tab in your AdminCP though...again, make sure you've uploaded the XML product through Manage Plugins...

That's a good point. Check the version of IbProArcade that you have. You may have to completely upload it again to your server...

arcade.php isn't the problem, the installation is the problem.
The menu doesn't come from arcade.php, but from elsewhere.
If you're getting errors, have your server admin look at them. That's what they're paid the big $$$ to do.

Right now I'm kinda the server admin!!! LOL and I don't get paid! LOL

Once I re installed I get the side bar...but when I click on them if gives me the 404 error.

How can I keep an individual members scores from being posted and shown in the forums. I have members on my forums that don't want their scores appearing in the forums and have asked that their scores be eliminated, but they would still like to play games. They are not all in the same user group.

Are you sure those games are converted for arcade? You can't just add any *.swf game, they need to have certain code. ;)

The template is Clean Blue and when you go to edit the navbar the code

Yeah I noticed that too but I got around it by cheating. I just did a search for "calendar" and when it populated to that code, I put the <td class file code for the arcade behind it and voila!

I just installed this wonderful add-on, but there is one small problem.

Anytime a user clicks on a game to play (I haven't imported any new games, only the ones that came with the mod), he or she is logged out?

Movslow, you can put that <td line anywhere in your navbar. It doesn't necessarily have to be behind the Calendar. If you have a crowded navbar, put it behind something where it's not so crowded and will even your navbar out.

I'll attach a copy of my navbar so you can see what I mean.


On the Chmod issue (where the hell is Zeropage?):

1. Go into your FTP server,
2. Select or click arcade.
3. Right mouse click "arcade" and the pick "properties."
4. At the "Permissions" section, you can either type in "777" or click all of the "read, write, execute" files under User, Group, and Others boxes...

Go into your templates but instead of going into one for the skins, go into the "Default Vbulletin" navbar. It's possible that the Cool Blue skin that you're using is missing that portion of the script. It's always best to keep the Default vbulletin skin and make it the parent style. In that way, you'll only have to add to the Default and it will copy to the other styles, including the Cool Blue.

That's the theory, anyway. Some hack creators don't do it that way.

Well after I changed the parent and children templates, made the changes and reverted them back...the arcade is showing on all 3.

Go to the Games List in ACP (show all games), then check all the boxes and go to the bottom of the page, you will see "Reset BEST RESULT EVER" or something like that, just choose that and run. ;)

Hi, I'm running 3.7.1 and I thought I followed the arcade install instructions correctly until I got to this point in the directions:

"Now you should:

* Expand the menu "Arcade" in the left AdminCP-menu
* Click Group Permissions
* Adjust the permissions the way you want"

I'm not even seeing this, is it possible I could just be overlooking it because I dont see any menu for Arcade except in the Edit Templates in the Style Manager menu? I have a button for arcade on the top of my navbar/header but when I click on it I'm getting a 404 error.

Off the top of my head, I can only think of two possible errors I made:

1) Instead of entering the path for the product-ibproarcade.xml file and importing it like that, I imported it from my local file instead. Was that a mistake? When I entered in the path, I was getting an error that the path wasn't found.

2) I'm using a Complete VB template and instead of using <td class="vbmenu_control"><a href="arcade.php?$session[sessionurl_q]">Arcade</a></td> in the Navbar, I used this code instead in the Header to make it work (which is the instructed method from Complete VB as I understood):

Those are all the details I know, any advice would truly be much appreciated. I was able to use the wayback machine and download a ton of the pn flash games so I'm really excited to integrate this into my community! :D

I'm receiving white pages. Anyone else. After a game finishes I get a white page. I also get white pages when I try to view high scores

I've been curious about this too... but never bothered asking. ;-) I did search "rate game" but didn't get much back. Anyone? Is there a way for someone to rate a game without having to play and get get a high score first? I think most of my users miss the game rating part.

I've search the spanish file language file with no success, so I've translated it for myself. I hope this helps everyone looking for an spanish version. The good news, is that your visitors will see everything in spanish, the bad news is that the ModCP and AdminCP section are not translated yet. Our administrator and moderator do understand english so it's not necessary for me. If you can do it, please update my file and share it!, so you can help others

I installed this mod and everything was working ok. However I've since installed several other mods and at some point, the high scores are no longer saving.

I know this isn't a problem with this mod, but I was hoping that someone could point me to what is done when a "submit high score" is done so I could look for whatever modifications were done on my boards and see what I could see.

Pretty much what happens is once you click submit, you are redirected back to the main site root page. It could be a redirect or something, but I haven't noticed that it is.

I've been working on turning off mods, etc... but no luck yet. Any help in pointing me where to look would be great, thanks!

Ok, I was doing a little thinking (it scares me too) and I think I know what it might be. I installed vbAdvanced.

Now, that's not to say it's not compatible, but what I did was I made the vbadvanced page my index.php page so it's the "root" page of the site.

My guess is that in doing so, the original index.php (now forums_index.php) has code in it that doesn't get run.

So my question might be in the wrong thread now, but... Does anyone know what I might do to have the vbadvanced page as my default site page and still make this mod work correctly?

I just installed the arcade last night. I'm running 3.7.2. When I went to install new games, I got an error message and now everything in the arcade part of the admin cp is garbled and unreadable. The arcade itself is fine on the forum. Does anyone have any advice? Thanks in advance.

for some strange reason..... when you beat the highscore of some games, or even just get a score you are unable to post a message. This doesn't happen all the time, but i have noticed it happening quite a bit. Any reason for this? does anyone else have this problem.

A quick question tho.

Is it possible to wipe all scores at the 1st of every month and keeping the all time high?
I notice there is a purging tool, but it seem only to purge X days old enties, I want all scores purged at the same time for a fresh start and keep the all time high.
I notice there also is a score wiping possiblity, but judging from the description of it it seems also to purge "best Score of all Time", which I want to keep!

Sorry if this question have been asked before, 313 pages is a lot to go trough :)

I'm guessing you have vbadvanced cmps or other portal?

Change the usergroup permissions from ACP (Arcade -> User group permissions or something like that).

Copy the navbar template, paste it into your editor
Once you paste it into your editor, look for the calendar.php line. It may not be worded EXACTLY as described, but should be close.
Before (or after) that, add the link to the arcade.

One of my styles has those Calendar etc buttons in header template, so you might want to look there...


Or just Search styles for "calendar.php" and you are bound to find it somewhere. ;)

Well i got it, for some reason the arcade.php wasnt uploaded correctly. I edited the line..

You can do this with your FTP software ;) Highlite the directory, right click and set chmod/permissions.

Installed however the main arcade.php page seems to never fully load. All other pages are fine...

Very nice indeed, I was uploading all night with my slow speed, over 300 mb games and it was so easy all inside the Arcade/ .tar folder than click install all games are ready to go...

I am doing the install... I uploaded the files to the right directories...

I got to this in the INSTALL file:

Now CHMOD the /arcade directory and all its subfolders to 0777

So I don't know what that means. What does that entail?

Also, any other tips you think a newbie would need to know?

I have done a couple of mods. The YouTube BB mod, and a only one signature display per thread mod...

But this is a big one for me.

I am also looking for a good casino mod!!! PM me if you know of one please.

You can change it in the skin file, of course that will make the input box in the admin not work, but all games will have the same background.

Simple, upload the .tar file of the game(s) that you are going to install and once they in in the

/forums/arcade/tar/dir you install them from the admincp

There are a few sites that have free downloads of games the will work. Most you have to pay a small fee to "join the site" then the downloads are free as long as you are a subscribing member.

It has been awhile since I installed games so I dont have a list anymore, but I would hit google up.
