Major Lite Features
Advanced Shout Control: You have the ability to post shouts, edit your shouts, PM shouts to other users, Ignore other users, insert /Me commands, insert smilies, Bbcode, change font, text colour etc.
Advanced Staff Control: Give your staff members customised permissions to allow them to do certain actions, on all or selected instances and chat rooms. Permissions include: Silencing users, banning users, editing user shouts, Creating/Editing "Sticky Notices", Pruning shouts and much more.
Resource Optimisation: vBShout implements an Advanced Optimisation Protocol to save your forum resources. Enabling this will further reduce the amount of resources consumed by the shoutbox. AOP was originally featured in Inferno vBShout, and DBTech vBShout takes it to the next level by ensuring that all your chats are always up-to-date without taking up needless amount of resources.
Customisable New Post / Thread Notifications: Allows you to make the shoutbox post when a new thread is created, or a new post is made. You can make this happen with all threads (Which will take user permissions into account) or only threads/posts from certain forums.
Shoutbox Tabs: New PM's or User Chat Rooms create Tabs. Tabs will highlight to let you know something new has happened, and you can even set them to make sounds to alert you.
Active Users Shout-bit: Shows the users active in the tab/instance you are, with the option to view everyone who can enter/exit the room at will (and thus see any shouts posted) in a pop-up to save resources. Perfect for seeing what's going on and who's around at a glance.
Context Menus: Many places now make use of context menus ? less having to remember /commands, one click access to the most useful and commonly used functions, and the ability for users to access their shoutbox settings directly from the shoutbox itself.
Custom Chat Rooms: Your users can now set up their own Chat-Tabs, where they get to set who can come and chat. Perfect for clubs, guilds etc. Admins can also create permanent Chat rooms for specific usergroups etc. ? perfect for a staff only chat room for instance, or to reward loyal members!
Custom Shoutbox Instances: Ever wanted a separate shoutbox just for your admin forum? Got a part of your board only for VIP members? Now you can set a shoutbox specific to those areas.
Shoutbox Sounds: You asked for it, we delivered. Customisable sounds now available on receiving shouts, Invites, PM's and more. (Requires QuickTime Plugin)
Archive: View all the shouts posted since the last pruning, Also shows you the top X shouters, a variety of interesting and useful shoutbox statistics, and allows you to search previous shouts.
Logging: Worried about staff members pruning the shoutbox to cover their tracks? Don't worry, with our advanced logging options, you can make sure a hard copy is kept of every action taken.
Revamped Thread / Reply Notices: Do you have a massive board with 100+ forums? With the revamped New Thread / Reply Notices page, you can edit exactly what forums show what notices in what instance all from one page.
Downloadable Shoutbox Archives: You and your shoutbox admins can download a complete dump of the Shoutbox' archive for all instances. With 3 supported formats (tab-delimited CSV, XML and TXT), there's something for everyone whether your purpose is review or programming.
Easy Shoutbox Notice Editing: You and usergroups with the "Can Set Sticky" permission can now edit the notice by double-clicking the Sticky in the shoutbox. Quickly fix typos or rapidly update with new turn of events, editing it is never more than two clicks away.
Shoutbox Report System: Members can now report offensive shouts by using the shout context menu. When a report has been submitted, those with the "Can Moderate Chat" permission will see how many reports need their attention via a new chat tab in the Shoutbox.
Easy User Infractions: The context menu also adds a quick link to infract users, for those who can access vBulletin's infraction system. This lets you quickly punish members who are overstepping your bounds.
Blog Integration: Give blogs a more prominent place on your forum by having the Shoutbox post notifications when someone posts a new blog or comments on a blog.
Professional Only benefits:
Personal User Shoutbox Options: Integrated with User CP, User gets to decide which things show on their shoutbox, PM's, notifications etc. Even what editor options show up for them. They also get to decide where their text input area goes for TOTAL customisation.
Ignore List: Allows users to keep track of who they are ignoring, and control this option via a list.
Custom Commands: Lets you and your users create their own commands for use. For example, create pre-set warning comments ? Staff member types /firstwarning, Text appears saying "This is your first warning for breaking the shoutbox rules. You can view these rules at [link] If you have a question about this warning, please PM myself. Thanks.
Extra Tab Options: The ability to set separate tabs for system notifications and notices is available in the PRO version, fantastic for keeping your chat tab uncluttered.
Detach Shoutbox: Lets you and your users have the shoutbox open in a seperate browser window/tab for easier use etc.
Additional Moderation Commands: The ability to add/edit the sticky notice through the shoutbox.
Advanced Archive Searching: Ability to search by any combination of username, Last X Hours, Start/End date, as well as keyword. Filter searches, sort by criteria etc.
Extended Instance Options: Allows you to have separate notices per instance, set usergroup settings for individual instances, and even set unique staff permissions for each individual instance.
Expanded Context Menus: Lets your member/staff use the context menu to add/update the sticky note, Ban and Unban users, Ignore/Unignore users and prune individual user shouts.
Extra User Chat Room Moderation: Shows a page displaying every use-created chat room, who made it, how many active members/total members it has etc, and options to close it etc.

Nice hack thank you!
How much ressources does this hack need?
DragonByte Tech
02-26-2010, 08:52 PM
It depends on the size of your memberbase, and what kind of server you are running on.
There are options to scale the shoutbox depending on your server etc (you can increase/decrease the refresh time etc)
This should be the least resource intensive of any AJAX shoutbox though =)
Iain
Using another shoutbox that I'm basically happy with now, but... I like features and this appears to have them. Gonna check this out. =)

Thanks Trek, We always aim to have as many features as possible, and update with any features our customers want/need =)
Iain
One thing I noticed (from your site) that I'd like to see changed is so that all shout text is aligned with each other. So it's basically in a straight clean column.

I had bought the last Inferno Pro, does that mean I get this one? coz I felt ripped off when the last one disappeared.
At least it is nice to see a decent shoutbox back for now.
DragonByte Tech
02-26-2010, 09:21 PM
That would require a table, and very long usernames would push the shouts way over, meaning they could look very crushed.
It's something we could probably add in future to the pro version if it was requested though, but not something we'd be making a default feature =)

Unfortunately no, this isn't the same company (Scot/Zero Tolerance isn't involved with this company.
It would be unfair to Fillip for him to have to pay for ZT's actions.
If you are a former Inferno Tech customer though, and you can supply me with proof of purchase on DBTech, i will give you a 25% discount (I just won't take my cut from those sales)
I hope that at least goes some way to mitigating what happened with I-Tech. Even though i was left in the lurch as much as (or more than) the customers, I would still like to try to make amends.

Other placements would be nice :)I briefly looked into that, but it appeared that vBulletin has gotten rid of a lot of useful template hooks :(
I'll have another look once things have calmed down some as far as updates and bugs are concerned, though :)

Fillip will check into your box squishy problem when he gets up, As for the FF problem, what version are you using?
I believe there may be an issue with 5.5.8 or something similar because of an issue in FF. Can you try updating to the latest version and see if you still have the problem?
In regards to the text input position, we plan on making it optional for left hand alignment, or bottom alignment in the next version =)

The squishy shoutbox issue has been identified, and a fix will be uploaded very soon, along with a fix for anyone who's having problems getting the shoutbox to show properly.
Sorry for the inconvenience.
As for the browser crashing issue, Firefox v3.5.x had major issues with JavaScript and Flash, and the JavaScript bugs could cause it to crash. I strongly recommend upgrading to 3.6 or newer, which seems to be free of these issues.
It's extremely difficult for me to fix this because I have no way of knowing what causes it, I can't read Firefox crash logs :P

Can I change the default color of the text? The box where you type is black with my forum style.
Also, with IE 7 (Have to use it at work - no choice), if I select the text color box, the color options show up at first, but when I go to click on a color, the box shrinks. I know that IE 7 is old and a fix isn't a priority, but I thought I'd mention it.
See the attachements to understand what I'm talking about.
*EDIT* Can we have an option to make different colors for each letter? Right now the color selection changes all the text? So we can have words like this.

Can I change the default color of the text? The box where you type is black with my forum style.I didn't even think of that D: My apologies.
For now, edit /dbtech/vbshout/includes/libs/shoutbox.php on line 1537.
This will be fixed in the next version, it should use the same default colour as the rest of the forum.

How do you edit shouts? (ajax double clicking didn't work for me and I was hoping it would be that easy)
I noticed you can only prune all shouts. How about ajax delete 1 shout? or all shouts by a given user? or multi select shouts via archive?
Also in the admincp on the left where it has the vbshout - view banned users and command log, can you also add all other vbshout options and setting underneath the heading please. Makes it easier to find and manage.
Apart from that, just looking forward to being able to position where the text field is.
Thanks.

Hornstar, in regards to the one click editing, prune single shouts/ single user etc, those are Pro features.
As for the options, the best way to position them is something we plan on examining in future versions =)

I just found out that the double click editing does work in the lite version, it brings the text back into the text area, then when you make the changes, it changes the previous edit. I like it.
I also have auto idle off, but I am being auto idled. I think it might be a bug.

I like it, but at the actual part where peoples' shouts show needs to be larger. I also recommend taking the extra space out at the top by the buttons. Above and below has too much empty space.

I have the old inferno installed on my forums... It took me a while to get it working right with vB4. I would like the detached version though, ( that is one of the things that would not cooperate with vB4.) . Does the detach function work right with vB4 ? And how does this compare to the old version. Thanks

It's possible to adjust the height of the Shoutbox in the options.
Also, Inferno vBShout is not officially supported, this is its replacement of sorts. So, most features are going to be the same, except for various upgrades to modernise it :)

WHOOO, been waiting a LONG time for a new VB Inferno shoutbox, even though it isn't Inferno anymore. I will likely buy the pro version of this as swell in the future. i instaleld it, but removed it until a possible update is made. Is there any template edit that i can make to put the text box under the shouts, not a fan of having it on the left side.
Also, had some issue with getting the shouts to display new ones on the bottom of the shoutbox, rather than the top. wouldn't work when i made the changes in setting.
If there is a template edit i can make, please let me know.
great work, glad to see it's back. fav shoutbox of all time ;)

When you have white font on a black background in your forum theres a problem(I changed the shoutbox background color to black so the default text color would show up).
When you change the color and try to change the text back to white you won't be able to see your text in the inptut box(if its still white) and if you make the input box black then anyone who enters a shout without changing the color first won't be able to see their shout show up since the background of the shoutbox where messages show up in black.
I hope that wasnt too confusing.

02-28-2010, 01:06 AM
I think you should be able to change the color of the shoutbox around the message-box. Right now it inherits from blockrow I think? You should be able to set it in the control panel or at least in the template.
I also agree with the guy above who said he would like to see the input box beneath the message box. It feel kind of awkward right now.
Very excited to see this mod btw, thank you very much.

WHOOO, been waiting a LONG time for a new VB Inferno shoutbox, even though it isn't Inferno anymore. I will likely buy the pro version of this as swell in the future. i instaleld it, but removed it until a possible update is made. Is there any template edit that i can make to put the text box under the shouts, not a fan of having it on the left side.Switching the textbox location is a planned feature :)
It will be included in the next update of the Pro version.
The box was put on the left hand side because it let users see their entire shout, even if it was longer.
Also, had some issue with getting the shouts to display new ones on the bottom of the shoutbox, rather than the top. wouldn't work when i made the changes in setting.
If there is a template edit i can make, please let me know.Did you refresh the page after making the change?
When you have white font on a black background in your forum theres a problem(I changed the shoutbox background color to black so the default text color would show up).
When you change the color and try to change the text back to white you won't be able to see your text in the inptut box(if its still white) and if you make the input box black then anyone who enters a shout without changing the color first won't be able to see their shout show up since the background of the shoutbox where messages show up in black.
I hope that wasnt too confusing.I know exactly what you mean, but sadly the only way of solving that is to reset every user's style choices.
I'll add a quick button to do that in the Mod/AdminCP.
I think you should be able to change the color of the shoutbox around the message-box. Right now it inherits from blockrow I think? You should be able to set it in the control panel or at least in the template.
I also agree with the guy above who said he would like to see the input box beneath the message box. It feel kind of awkward right now.
Very excited to see this mod btw, thank you very much.It does indeed inherit from blockrow, to make it follow the same standard as the rest of the forum.
Does this cause it to look funky on certain skin configurations? I was under the impression blockrow colour would look good in all configurations and flow seamlessly into the rest of the skin.
If you could provide examples of why this philosophy is wrong, please do :) I'll look into setting a colour override if so.
how would i add like a sound every time a new shout has been enter?You would need to modify the JavaScript file or something, I have no idea, sorry :(
Honestly, I miss the old Inferno Shout for vB3. Bring it back... Don't try and change what is already perfect! Just add more features to it...Different coder, different vBulletin version = different product :p
What's wrong with this one? Your feedback will help improve this version :)

vBShout Lite 4.1 has been released. The biggest change is:
* Revamped Shoutbox deployment
It's now easier to add the Shoutbox to any page and any template.
One new automatic deployment location has also been added.
This lets you easily put the shoutbox on, for instance, the CMS page. You also have a greater control over where exactly the Shoutbox is located on each template.
Many of the requested features (including input bar at the bottom) have been added to Pro version 4.1. Details can be found on our website.
This update also brings the modification out of Beta status.
Enjoy!
Fillip
This is a sweet update BTW! Everyone should give it a shot. =)

Is there any way I can add this mod just to the vbcms main page? Not the actual content pages, but just the main one.

That aside, excellent mod. Thank you very much. I'll be purchasing this next week :D

I'm not 100% sure how to do that, because of the way the CMS templates are set up. There's no specific "home page" template (like FORUMHOME is to forums).
You'd need to wrap the vBShout variable in some form of <vb:if condition="">

Try adding <br /> to the top of the donation main template. Or the bottom of the vBShout main template.
If that doesn't work, then try adding
style="margin-top: 10px;"
to the top <div> of the Donation template.

When quickly hitting 'Enter' several times, message also got send several times, you better block in someway, so multiple enter hit won't lead to multiple messages... Or you might want to implement it server side, not adding messages which are similar to last posted...

v4.1.2 has just been released, which is a bugfix release.
The shoutbox will no longer cause screen flicker in Firefox 3.6.
It's no longer possible to open multiple PM tabs for the same user.
It should now be impossible to accidentally submit duplicate shouts.
Various database errors that appeared in rare scenarios have been fixed.

Edit dbtech_vbshout.css, namely the background-color:rgb(255,255,255);
Whenever a mod doesn't look correct in a certain skin, you should always look at the CSS files first :)
It's very hard to make something look 100% good on all skins, especially since the StyleVars system is still relatively incomplete.
Fillip
DragonByte Tech
03-17-2010, 01:15 PM
In fact, try changing the relevant CSS to this:
.formcontrols .blockrow .alt {
background-color:{vb:stylevar body_background.backgroundColor};
}
.formcontrols .blockrow .dbtech_shouts .dbtech_vbshout_tabs.alt {
background-color:{vb:stylevar body_background.backgroundColor};
position:relative;
top:1px;
z-index:99999;
}
Let me know if that looks OK for you (or anyone else who's using a Dark skin) :)
Thanks!

@GafferSports: I noticed the tabs didn't look correct on your site, so I've updated the XML file with the following CSS fixes:
.formcontrols .blockrow .dbtech_shouts .dbtech_vbshout_tabs.alt {
background-color:{vb:stylevar body_background.backgroundColor};
position:relative;
top:{vb:stylevar blockhead_border.borderWidth}{vb:stylevar blockhead_border.units};
z-index:99999;
}
.formcontrols .blockrow .dbtech_shouts .dbtech_vbshout_tabs.alt2 {
background: {vb:stylevar control_background};
border-bottom:{vb:stylevar blockhead_border};
position:relative;
top:{vb:stylevar blockhead_border.borderWidth}{vb:stylevar blockhead_border.units};
z-index:99999;
}
The changes are to the "top" variable, this time it should work on every skin regardless of their border settings :)

This is a Pro feature, the option was accidentally left in the Lite version. This will be corrected in a future version :)
I love how RPG Inferno is the claim to fame. Did they not vanish without a trace? I sent money to them to get the better version and special access to forums. They vanished and screwed us all.While DBTech is not related to Inferno Technologies in any way beyond sharing the same product designer, it's still a very well known modification that a lot of people were (and still are) quite happy with.
It's very unfortunate that you alledgedly had your payments taken and not received even a single version of the product you paid for, but it's sadly not a wrong we have the power to right.
We only meant to highlight that the person who designed RPG Inferno - which is probably why you wanted to buy it, because it was well designed, no? - is now back and designing DBTech products.
I know you have no reason to take my word for it, but even if DBTech stops making new products / updates, we will never take someone's money and close down the site without giving them the chance to download and/or request a refund :)
Especially considering I have my real name plastered all over the site - it would be unfortunate for my prospects of future employment in the IT business if a quick Google search revealed that I was a con artist, wouldn't you say? ;)

Would it be possible to announce new threads created by the RSS import please?
Did you try adding reply notifications for the rss bot forums? If that didn't.work, then I guess its not currently possible, but I'll look into it for.the future.
Yes? No? :confused:If you don't want it appearing on the front page automatically, you need to turn off the Auto Display feature and manually add the variable to the templates.you want it to appear in. There's no way of excluding certain pages from automatic display atm.

It's something that can't be easily changed now that we're halfway through development of the next version, though. It will be fixed :)
Disregard that setting, it doesn't work in the Lite version.

I'm having this problem with your vBShout and vBActivity. It's odd because everything else I install on the board works.
All I did was unpack the items, put everything in the forum folder and uploaded the xml.
Is there anything else...?
I've been trying for nearly an hour and a half to get it to work. I can't think what I'm missing.
I also have no idea what this 'admin help entry' or auto display option is.

That's not currently possible, and it's not a currently planned feature either. It's a feature that requires a very specific implementation so as to not become overly annoying to members on an active forum, yet still remaining useful.

v4.5.1 has been released.
The major changes for the Lite version are:
* Revised layout to make the Shoutbox take up less space
* New context menu for shout users
* Users can now start typing immediately after sending a shout without having it deleted once the shout was posted
Additionally, putting the Shoutbox in a custom location now works again.
PS: If you're looking for the usergroup permissions, this has moved to the "Instance Management" area.

Shoutbox commands don't seem to be working for me, and when I go into "Usergroups" I don't have a section to activate shoutbox commands, etc.In 4.5.1, chat commands don't work in any tab other than Shoutbox (this includes PMs).

OK. I found that bit of code:
$time = vbdate($this->registry->options['timeformat'], $shouts_r['dateline'], $this->registry->options['yestoday']);
break;
default:
// Everything else
$time = vbdate($this->registry->options['dateformat'], $shouts_r['dateline'], $this->registry->options['yestoday']) . ' ' .
vbdate($this->registry->options['timeformat'], $shouts_r['dateline'], $this->registry->options['yestoday']);

Let me start out by saying that this mod works wonderful and the features are great. Two questions:
1. How does the font get larger? It seems to be a little small for the old timers on my board :)
2. It seems as though when you are talking with someone over PM and the page changes, the shoutbox takes you back to the public shouts and not the PM. So you have to click on the PM tab again before you can talk privately... we had an embarrassing moment with this... is this a known issue, or a problem on my side?
Again, thanks so much you guys made a great, solid product.

You said "the page refreshes" which means you refreshed the page or it gets refreshed by some other means, in which case it's intended. There's no way of knowing what private chats you had open before the page refreshes.
EDIT: If the screen "flashes" as it refreshes, then the data is reset, so it won't save your tab. If you mean new shouts appearing in the shoutbox cause you to switch tabs, then thats a bug. Theres no real way of preventing the tab switching on a full page refresh without increasing load on the server. Same applies when you change page, sorry. - Iain

Okay, I understand all of that. I meant when I refreshed the page myself by going to another page or refreshing the current one myself with F5. I don't need anymore server load than this already gives.
Two more questions since your guys' support is so fast and solid:
1. For the Optimization Settings, which will take less server load? The database or filesystem? I'm running close to a gig of bandwidth a day including this shoutbox, which takes up most of the bandwidth.
2. I'm having an issue with this displaying the shouts on one of my pages... http://www.dfwsportbikes.org/wiki/. I'm sure it's something with the way the pages integrate together and a piece of code that points to root/shout.php or whatever and the wiki thinks its the root, but hoping you know a quick code mod or snippet to insert/change so it will display the shouts on this page too. Thanks again!

The Database option is actually going away in 5.0, because with the changes to the AOP system it became unmanageable.

What's needed is a script name and a template name, the script name is indicated by a

All version of vBShouthave done this =)
In v5 you are able to determine what messages show, have them show based on permissions (so people don't see any info about threads they shouldn't) And even have the info posted in a separate tab if you want to keep the chat tab free of clutter but still have the info readily available =)

I'm sure you understand that we can't simply go around telling people how to add pro features into their lite installations

Re-download the zip and re-upload /dbtech/vbshout/clientscript/vbshout.js - then make sure you do a hard refresh (Ctrl+F5) and it should work like you want now :)

I understand thoroughly, What i mean is if "Fine PM control system" in shoutbox is for paying customers then why it should be in Lite version ..
P.S i am not asking pro features fix in lite version and i never will , i am just saying that you can keep the pm system for paying customers only and remove from lite version completely . so that there will be no pm system for lite version . and paying customers get PM system & fine control of enabling it or disabling it. :)

Because of how a lot of the features are integrated with each other, simply doing that can cause problems and design headaches. It's usually much simpler to remove options, and it also gives people more features in Lite, and a better idea of what the product is capable of.
99/100 users would rather have a feature with limited options, than have it removed completely =P If we went with your suggestion I don't think people would be happy haha.

The feature wasn't designed to make a noise when you enter a shout - consider it as similar to an Instant Messaging program - it makes a noise to alert you a message has been posted/received, Theres no practical reason to make a noise when you enter one... You know you entered one, you're the one who done it haha. =P

I installed the updated version today, but I when I try and upload the XML file, I get this...
"C:\Inetpub\vhosts\mortalkombatempires.com\httpdocs \forum/dbtech/vbshout/install/install/5000.php is missing!"
I know I installed the upload files.

Thanks for the upgrade and the new features.. very cool :)
I've just downloaded and installed, and I've seen a few errors already..
The shoutbox defaults to idle after a refresh.. this is really annoying :(
A refresh defaults to the main shoutbox rather than the chatroom you were in.
No output appears until AFTER you have made an entry of your own.
Getting dbase errors : Invalid SQL:
SELECT chatroomid, user.username
FROM dbtech_vbshout_chatroommember AS vbshout
LEFT JOIN user AS user ON(user.userid = vbshout.invitedby)
WHERE vbshout.userid = 1
AND status = 0;
MySQL Error : Unknown column 'vbshout.invitedby' in 'on clause'
Error Number : 1054
Oh yes, I see there is a VB38 XML install file too? so this is cool for VB3.8??
Any suggestions appreciated..

There is a problem, see:I have no idea how or why that happens =/
There's really nothing I can do about it either, if I take those checks out then the XML might not even import for you, and it'll break for everyone who didn't upload those files...
Is Safe Mode enabled in your php.ini? Anything else you can tell me about your config that would help figure this out?
1. The shoutbox defaults to idle after a refresh.. this is really annoying :(Instance Manager -> Edit Permissions -> uncheck Is Auto Idle for all usergroups that shouldn't have this.
2. A refresh defaults to the main shoutbox rather than the chatroom you were in.No way of fixing this, it's not for certain the chatroom exists after a refresh (could have been wiped, etc).
3. No output appears until AFTER you have made an entry of your own.Side-effect of the new AOP system. Did you CHMOD /dbtech/vbshout/aop directory to 0777? I forgot to add it to the main readme file, sorry :(
SELECT chatroomid, user.username
FROM dbtech_vbshout_chatroommember AS vbshout
LEFT JOIN user AS user ON(user.userid = vbshout.invitedby)
WHERE vbshout.userid = 1
AND status = 0;
That probably only happened while you were upgrading.
If not, run
alter table dbtech_vbshout_chatroommember add invitedby int(10) unsigned not null default '0'
Oh yes, I see there is a VB38 XML install file too? so this is cool for VB3.8??Indeed :)

Hi all, I installed this great hack, and I have three questions that are not can be solved if:
The first is that the background color where red is written out, I like to write with red, but then barely visible letters.
The second is that if it's possible to change the font size, and can not find the option.
And the latest is that when you're not in the chat, if you do nothing get a message: "Notice: You are currently showing up as idle. Click here to summarizing activity."
Would it be possible to translate into my language Spanish?, Because I can not find the words.
That's it, otherwise it seems an excellent product.
Regards.

The first is that the background color where red is written out, I like to write with red, but then barely visible letters.I'm not quite sure what you're saying here, but in v5 the templates changed so that it's using the same background colour as the postbit.
Revert any customised vBShout templates and / or the vBShout CSS file.
The second is that if it's possible to change the font size, and can not find the option.This is a feature in the Pro version :)
And the latest is that when you're not in the chat, if you do nothing get a message: "Notice: You are currently showing up as idle. Click here to summarizing activity."
Would it be possible to translate into my language Spanish?, Because I can not find the words.At this time, it's not possible to translate that. I'm looking into making it translatable in the future, though :)

Instance Manager -> Edit Permissions -> uncheck Is Auto Idle for all usergroups that shouldn't have this.
Ah OK, I thought that was to have them go into idle mode after a while..
No way of fixing this, it's not for certain the chatroom exists after a refresh (could have been wiped, etc).
Could it not check if it exists? :)
Side-effect of the new AOP system. Did you CHMOD /dbtech/vbshout/aop directory to 0777? I forgot to add it to the main readme file, sorry :(
I changed perms on the AOP *FILE*, not the directory.. Doh!! Working fine now!
That probably only happened while you were upgrading.
I think you're right there too :)
Indeed :)

Ah OK, I thought that was to have them go into idle mode after a while..Nah it's to set idle when you first load the page.
Good thing to do for guests if you have a busy forum with lots of guests but want to show off the Shoutbox feature, that way they don't take up resources needlessly :)
Could it not check if it exists? :)Yeah but it's not the only problem that feature poses, it was just an example.
I'll investigate it further for a future version though :)

DragonByte Tech

vBAdvanced appears to have some bugs that renders parts of it unusable with vBShout.
I'm going to investigate whether there's anything I can do about it.
