"v3 Arcade" is the third Arcade system I've written for vBulletin. It's coded from scratch, not a port of an older version - and because it was coded specifically for vBulletin 3.6 it uses the product system for code modifications, and utilizes AJAX technology throughout. Here's a brief rundown of the features in this version of v3 Arcade.

If you're installing on a fresh copy of vBulletin 3.5, you don't need to worry about anything. If you're upgrading from an old 3.0.x version, please make sure that you've removed all old arcade templates from your vBulletin forum before you begin. Also, remove any fields containing the word "arcade" from the "user" and "usergroup" tables.

If you're upgrading and important, you don't want to do that. But you'll need to drop that field that's causing the installation to fail - use:

I did a fresh install, I've tried reinstalling aswell.
I've tried dropping the table and running the query you submitted earlier.
I've tried with and without the table prefix. And i've checked that the table exists.

Again, i had nothing arcade'ish installed prior to this installation.

I think the most straightforward way to do it would be to select each one and click "revert" - with a bit of luck it should disappear.

You need to edit ur usergroup and set permissions, once you do that it should rebuild you bitfields, and then you should see the arcade permissions at the bottom.

I don't see how this will help... in order to verify the license the site checks to see if the arcade.php is viewable by guests - if it is not it will not verify your license. My USERS have access to the board - just not GUESTS.

Installation didn't work out for me (I had "arcade" tables in the database from an old installation) and it got really mangled.. In order to uninstall, I needed to add the arcade_games table.. That's all I know how to do. The next step would be to add a "isreverse" column but I don't know how to do that. Here's the error I'm getting:

it was not paid actually... beta release was kinda paid because only subscribers had access to it...

logical... if you want to have something before the others, to play with or code for, you have to buy a privilege... the paid subscription was not for the software, but for the Branding Free... and this branding free is actually available for subscription... it was not stopped just because of the official release... so if you want to make a branding free arcade, you can pay for the job done!

i installed before actually deleting the arcade fields from the two tables...i deleted them after i uploaded all the files and made the template changes.

chadi, browse your usergroup table and search for like %...% for arcade and see if its in there. you might have to remove that table or whatever...i dunno but i havent played with this yet. just goin off the top of the head.

You can just disable it in your AdminCP>Plugin System>Manage Products section if it's giving you trouble

It seems like a common problem with the installation is that the database changes are being made. Any clue why? I have none of the database tables that were supposed to be added.

IBP Pro Arcade that is released here has nothing to do with the ibproarcade site, so it is unfair to make comparisons in that regard. There are many other places to get games other than on that site for IBP pro arcade.

A couple of observations after upgrading from the latest beta;

- I get no challenge link in the postbit dropdown in spite of enabling them in my profile. I don't see challenge setting in the admin settings either. (I wonder why that is. It seems some other people have it.)

- The download link has disappeared after the upgrade.

- There's a setting to make awards show in the postbit and profiles but nothing shows in profiles.

Oh, and is there any additional functionality added since the beta stage that we should know about?

If you have to revert any vBulletin templates to get new features/fixes, and those templates are one of the two or three that you modified to add Arcade features/links, then yes you will have to re-do those edits. That's no different than any other hack that requires changes to default vBulletin templates.
