Where can i get the "Authentication Code
Enter the authentication code received from Google here." from google?Make sure your browser is set to allow popups from your domain, as the previous form should have opened a new tab where you're asked to authorise via your Google account. At the end of this authorisation, you'll be given the code :)

how to exclude search.php with no search results from sitemap?
Google Webmastertools (search console) shows links from search.php with no search results.
these are deadlinks with status code 404 - "Not found"
Links like:
http://www.sps-forum.de/search.php?searchid=5744456
http://www.sps-forum.de/search.php?searchid=2889119
http://www.sps-forum.de/search.php?searchid=2993290
These links should not be crawled, only links WITH a search result.
how to handle that?

I would recommend editing your robots.txt file and setting search.php as being disallowed :)

You will need to disable vBulletin's Friendly URL library in order for DBSEO to work as intended.
how to do that?
these are my settings:
vBulletin Settings -> Friendly Urls -> URL Type -> Standard URLs
vBulletin Settings -> Friendly Urls -> Enforce Canonical URL -> OFF
vBulletin Settings -> Friendly Urls -> Enforce Canonical URL for Registered Users -> YES
vBulletin Settings -> Friendly Urls -> Friendly URL Unicode -> Ignore
vBulletin Settings -> Friendly Urls -> NCR Encode UTF-8 URLs for IE -> No
vBulletin Settings -> Friendly Urls -> Standard URL Routing Variable -> r
The Problem is the "="-Character in the end of the links, when i remove this "=" the link will work:
With "="
http://www.sps-forum.de/showthread.php?15348-Protool-WinCCflex-Daten-lesen-schreiben-mit-VB-Script=
Without "="

my settings:
Rewrite "Tag" URLs: YES

Tag (Single) URLs: tags/[tag].html
Tag (Single) Paged URLs: tags/[tag]/index[page].html
other tags with the ending .html works well - see here:

then the URL http://www.sps-forum.de/tags/absolutfahrt/ work.

Hi Fillip,
Thanks for this great plugin. But I have one little problem.
For security measure I changed my Vb "Config" name plus its destination. so when I tried to install this plugin I got "access denied" Database error So I was wondering is there a way to make dbseo to connect to main Config file instead of fake one which give me access denied error?
thanks in advanced.

Regardless, you can edit DBSEO's config.php reference in /dbtech/dbseo/includes/class_core.php.

Do you have a solution for the "=" issue at the end of the links?The URLs you showed uses vBulletin's Friendly URL library, DBSEO doesn't allow for = at the end of links I don't think.
I can't assist with issues in vB's friendly URL library unfortunately :(

Are you looking at submitted or indexed threads?
It's not advised to submit both posts and threads, and it's not advised to submit individual posts as the threads provide more context than posts do. vB4 also does not provide a dedicated "view individual post" page, so by including posts you are generating a lot of duplicate content.

Hello! I went though the tags list in the mod and deleted the ones that were nothing... which was like 90% of them. Then I added a lot of words to the keywords list.
After that I did the "add tags" under "manage content tags" and it showed the first 250 items processing, but never progressed anywhere. So I did the "reset tags" feature, also under "manage content tags".
I still can't get the add tags tool to progress.. No matter how many content items per page I put, or how short of a date range I put it just sits on those items. Some times it will show "processing complete - proceed" at the bottom, but if it click it, it still doesn't move on to the next set or anything.
Thanks!

I spent a lot of time with the tags functionality because it seemed like a really useful feature that I wanted to leverage. I applied tags then I deleted them with the reset option as you did. It all worked properly for me in terms of the mechanics of applying and removing tags but the problem was once tags were applied, it resulted in an enormous amount of database activity, which I believe had to deal with the Tag Cloud functionality in VBulletin. I ended up trying a few things to address that. I changed some parameters to reduce the number of tags in the cloud, I tried to narrow down which subforums had tags applied, but nothing I did actually worked. The symptom that consistently appeared is that posts would temporarily disappear in threads. I think the excess of database activity somehow caused the post index to get corrupted. I tried to get support and in general have found DragonByte to be very good from that perspective but in this case in the end they weren't able to help me. I ended up having to turn this off. I have a pretty big/busy forum. It might work with a forum that has a smaller database and less activity.
DragonByte Tech
07-18-2016, 05:59 PM
Yeah the tagging feature will re-tag every single thread which can lead to a very bloated DB with slow searches if you have an absolutely massive amount of threads.
As for the lack of progress, that could be a PHP timeout. Make sure display_errors is turned on in php.ini :)

Thanks guys. The tags that the system (not sure if it was drogonbyte or vbulletin) had was stupid to be honest (they were listed in vbulletin options so I think it was them). That's why I cleared it all out and made my own list of key words and have it selected to only use those keywords (if I'm understanding its use correctly).
Since using only those words most posts won't even end up having tags when before, they did- many tags that were of no relevance to the actual topic. So I think this will have the database even smaller than it was.
I did turn skip_all_errors to false in config.php and didn't see any error messages, does that do the same thing?
I also substituted the skip all errors line for : ini_set("display_errors", true); and didn't get any erros that way either. The page just sits there like it is working, but nothing actually seems to happen.

For the heck of it I just re uploaded the files and tried again. Leaving the content items per page at 250 I get the error
Fatal error: Maximum execution time of 30 seconds exceeded in ......dbtech/dbseo/actions/admin/tagging.php on line 161
If I do less than 250 at a time, it does the same as it was, looks like it is progressing (even refreshes and takes you back to the top if you have scrolled down) but doesn't progress to different threads.

I had done 5 with the same result (looking like it is doing something, but doesn't progress). I just now tried 1 and it seems to be doing something even faster, but still no. I say it seems like it is doing something because it flashes "waiting for www.terraforums.com" pretty quickly in the lower corner when with more items it does this slower. It does show "processing complete - proceed" but it doesn't make a difference if I click it or not and stays on the same item that's processing.
You already have an account on my forum so I think you can access the DBT SEO section of it if you want to try it out.
Thanks!

Just a quick question here. I was a user of vbSEO for years, and when they went defunct, and my website was hacked because of some vulnerable scripts, I uninstalled it and reverted back to the default vBulletin URLS.
Now I am considering purchasing the Dragonbyte version and I'm wondering if the new URLs will match those that the old vbSEO had generated.
Any ideas? Thanks!

Another question - vBSEO had a function that defined acronyms. You could mouse over these and the definition would be displayed. Pretty much what this plugin here is doing:
www.vbulletin.org/forum/showthread.php?t=320619
The code was
<value>'seo' => 'Search Engine Optimization'

My vBSEO installation is still in place, but I cannot access the vBSEO control panel - is that a problem if I want DBSEO to import whatever it needs from vBSEO?
You mention "Pro-only" - does that just mean the commercial version on your website, or is there actually a version called "Pro"?

Good afternoon

In my website theme, there are a few images that are like like this: for example
As my forum runs off a subdomain, forum.website.com then the image would normally get loaded from http://forum.website.com/images/abc.gif based on the HTML above.
After installing your plugin, it has re-written the URL on the HTML output to the wrong URL:
http://www.website.com/images/abc.gif
The images aren't available as per expected but I find it odd that it is re-writing URLs with my main domain not the subdomain.
Please advise

Thank you Fillip you have been extremely helpful.
I have a final question, as I have now been playing with the program a little bit since my first post.
When someone clicks a link that was originally a Mod Rewrite Friendly URL, the forum will now revert back to the forum index.
Is there a way to accept old URLs and possibly have them redirected to the new URL?
Many thanks for all your support!

I think I've found a bug. If a forum has more than one announcement listed then it seems that it joins them together into one link, not differentiating on which announcement you clicked on.
E.G.
Link: Announcement A
Link: Announcement B
Normally clicking Announcement A would load the page with Announcement A details, this doesn't happen. Instead it loads a page with annoumcenent A at the top and announcement B at the bottom.
The same problem when you click Announcement B, Announcement A is listed first then Announcement B.
Either they need to open a separate URL (which it seems they are only opening the combined "View All Announcements" Url) or use a A Name Anchor on the announcement page
Thanks

You can use the Manage Keywords interface in the DBSEO CP to add more relevant keywords. They will then be prioritised by the content tagging system.

@RichieBoy67 But the keywords are important are they not? Are you saying there is no way to get the keywords to match the actual content of my forum?
Even my advertising is not related to the topic of the forum anymore... I can't remember when they stopped being but surely there is a way to fix it all.
RichieBoy67

I am not saying they are not important but the only thing you can really do is either change those words or increase the density of your other words.
Almost every forum I have seen has those keywords in high density though.

Anyone have a solution to this?You're probably running into PHP timeout errors of some description. I would recommend either reducing the amount of sitemap entries per page via the settings, or using the "sitemapcron.php" file from the do_not_upload folder :)

Hello
I want to redirect all pages from http to https:
I tried this:
RewriteEngine On
RewriteCond %{HTTPS} off
RewriteRule (.*) https://www.test.sps-forum.de/$1 [R=301,L]
when I delete the "s" from "https" from a subforum e.g. https://www.test.sps-forum.de/simatic it will not redirect!
so I can view both pages:
http://www.test.sps-forum.de/simatic (please open this URL and delete the "s")
https://www.test.sps-forum.de/simatic
only in subforums it will not redirect the pages
I also tried this:
RewriteEngine On
RewriteCond %{SERVER_PORT} !^443$
RewriteRule (.*) https://%{HTTP_HOST}/$1 [R=301,L]
and this:
RewriteEngine On
RewriteCond %{SERVER_PORT} !^443$
RewriteCond %{HTTPS} !=on
RewriteCond %{ENV:HTTPS} !=on
RewriteRule .* https://%{SERVER_NAME}%{REQUEST_URI} [R=301,L]
all same..
When you open this link it will not redirect to https:

my site URL is like this: https://www.test.de
My Hoster will make an php update soon. (php 5.6 CGI)
to test the site with php 5.6 I putted this in my htaccess file:

I get a redirection-error when I open the site in my browser.
When I deactivate this option dbseo settings, the site works normally:

If yes, this setting will crop out /forum.php (or whatever other script name you've defined as forum root in vBulletin Options). This is useful if you've already built page rank for /index.php.
But now my site URL is like this:https://www.test.de/index.php

Hello,
I've been instructed by mangement to investigate DragonByte SEO. I need to know if your licensing would allow us to install the product in a sandbox (devel.foo.com on the LAN) and then transfer it to the production box (www.foo.com) on the WAN after we get it set up correctly?

Hello, I recently moved my forum to a new server and when I turn on this mod I am told
"Hmm, we can't reach this page." in microsoft edge and
"The page isn’t redirecting properly
Firefox has detected that the server is redirecting the request for this address in a way that will never complete.
This problem can sometimes be caused by disabling or refusing to accept cookies."
I was behind on an update so I just did that but still get the same thing. With the mod deactivated everything seems to work just fine.
Thanks!

You can install free version on as many sites as you would like, including test sites.
After you assure yourself that it works the way you want, you can apply needed changes also on live site.
And, pro version is more or less just like doing upgrade. If free version works, pro will work also. In case of bugs, you just contact DBTech, they would solve them.

I've noticed a lot of duplicate posts on my forum since using DBSEO and I've been doing research into the error logs based on the post times and have loads of entries exactly like this
[05-Dec-2016 16:26:35 UTC] PHP Fatal error: Maximum execution time of 30 seconds exceeded in /home/*****/public_html/forum/dbtech/dbseo/includes/rewrite/thread.php on line 210

Please advise what could be causing this problem.

Fillip
Yes, I believe the only difference there is this part at the beginning...
# php -- BEGIN cPanel-generated handler, do not edit
# This domain inherits the “PHP” package.
# php -- END cPanel-generated handler, do not edit
The rest is what was on my .htaccess file on the old server.

More info:
I added the /forums directory back and still have the issue.
I ran a redirect checker and here was the result, I don't know what to look for though to fix it.
Thanks!

You can turn it off from the vBulletin Options instead, I think disabling the scheduled task will undo it the next time you update vB.

Force Forum Directory Index
If yes, this setting will crop out /forum.php (or whatever other script name you've defined as forum root in vBulletin Options). This is useful if you've already built page rank for /index.php.
This option do not work with php 5.6 !!!
with php 5.4 it has been work.
I always get an redirection error.

Greetings Support,
Does DBSeo Pro automatically create 301 redirects for threads/posts when forums/sub forums are merged/moved? I'm looking to combine some low traffic/low activity sub forums back up into the parent forum, and need to take into account the old URLs.
Thanks!
Alan_SP
04-05-2017, 06:26 PM
This is something that vB does automatically.
If you link thread, it doesn't matter in what forum it is. vB will link it where it is (if it is still available). That goes to posts also, if you link post #, it doesn't matter in what thread (and forum) it is, vB will link to that post.

Is the dragonbyte-tech website down? I have not been able to access it for 2 days. I had a bug to report, but when I tried to submit, the site went down, and has not been back up since. The bug is as follows:
---
When the config dbtech_dbseo_filter_nonlatin_chars is not 1, conversions of character groups such as eu or ss can lead to database errors if a slash is placed before the group. It may also be able to craft a request that will trigger a similar error if the setting is 1, but I think it is harder.
Here is an example database error I received in my email:
Invalid SQL:
SELECT tagtext AS id FROM forum_tag WHERE tagtext REGEXP "^(&[\#\da-z]*;|[^a-z\d])*(&[\#\da-z]*;|[^a-z\d])*[(&[\#\da-z]*;|[^a-z\d])*[i?ŒÍ?ŽÏì?+îï]m/[e?ˆ?‰?Š?‹èéêë]([u?™?š?›?œùúûüµ]|u|?†|æ)rg](&[\#\da-z]*;|[^a-z\d])*(&[\#\da-z]*;|[^a-z\d])*$" ORDER BY LENGTH(tagtext) LIMIT 1;

#7 DBSEO_Url::lookup() called in [path]/dbseo.php on line 159
The URL doesn't point to a valid tag, but the expected behavior here is no database error. I was able to resolve these errors on my site by making sure the regular expression is tested before it goes through MySQL. In dbtech/dbseo/includes/filter.php find:
$title3 = self::unFilterText(htmlspecialchars(self::$config['dbtech_dbseo_rewrite_separator'] . str_replace(' ', self::$config['dbtech_dbseo_rewrite_separator'], $title) . self::$config['dbtech_dbseo_rewrite_separator']), true);
After it, add:
if (!@preg_match('/' . $title2 . '/', $title, $m) OR !@preg_match('/' . $title3 . '/', $title, $m))
{
return false;
}
Basically this code change means that if we were not able to generate a valid regex or the regex does not actually match what it was intended to match, the reverse lookup should fail.

With "Enable UTF-8" nothing happens, with "Convert URLs to UTF-8" either.
Try "Filter Non-Latin Characters", the only one that works halfway is the "Keep Non-Latin Characters" option, it adds the accent (accent mark), but it only works for the post, in the subfores it returns me to the home.
Try combining the 3 options, none gave results closer to the recently commented. :(

:(Make sure your forum URLs include the forum ID. That will fix any problems with forums returning 404.
Hi. When from the vbulletin admin panel I run Maintenance, Diagnostics, Suspect File Versions, I get a message telling me that the files dbseo.php and dbseositemap.php have not been found! Though the product has been uninstalled ! How to handle this? thank you.Delete the md5sums file from your includes folder.

Using PHP 7.0 and VB 4.2.5 (not to say the issue doesn't exist in other PHP versions...) but has anyone come across the issue where if the Forums are the default tab in navigation manager, everything works, but if the Articles (AKA CMS/Home) is the default tab then both the Articles (Home) tab and Forum tab loads the Articles/Home tab and the URL in the browser is http://www.domain.com/content/ for both tabs? Mousing over the Forum tab does not show /content/ at the end of the domain.)
In Navigation Manager both tabs are set to default VB 4.2.5 values. .htaccess file checked with just DBSEO code in it. And it all works fine with DBSEO disabled and the .htaccess code removed.

That could potentially happen if the index.php file didn’t require the correct file. For instance, if index.php had forum.php in it but CMS was default, that would be an issue.
Also, turn off Force Forum Directory Index and see if that helps.

That was quick.
Unfortunately index.php is default code and while disabling Force Forum Directory did get the URL to change to end in forum.php, clicking on it still brings me to the Articles tab and /content/
I even put a query string at the end for forum.php like forum.php?txt=3393993 just to make sure it wasn't a browser cache issue, and still redirecting to Articles.
DragonByte Tech
07-21-2017, 08:10 AM
Yes, by default index.php has require('forum.php'); in it, which may cause this issue if you have CMS set as the default.
Try changing it to require('content.php'); and change define('VB_REDIRECT', true); to define('VB_REDIRECT', false); if that doesn't work.

Ahhh.
OK Thanks again.
Also, adding a querystring to the navigation manager URL did work, but editing the index.php file is preferable, obviously.

Closer but not there yet. Is there anything in DBSEO that could be redirecting
http://www.domain.com/forum.php
to
http://www.domain.com
But not redirect
http://www.domain.com/forum.php?zzz=1
I made both edits to index.php, whether I follow a link or manually enter the http://www.domain.com/forum.php URL I get redirected to http://www.domain.com and the Articles tab. I closed and restarted the browser, cleared cache, closed and restarted browser, tried 2 different browsers. same thing happens, only when DBSEO is enabled.

As to why you're getting a page not found error, try clearing your browser cache.

Did you follow the readme?
/*================================================= =====================*\
|| 2. Requirements ||
\*================================================ ======================*/
DBSEO requires at least vBulletin 4.0.2 (vB4) or vBulletin 3.8.x (vB3)
It will not function correctly in vBulletin 4.0.1 because of a bug in that version.
/*================================================= =====================*\
|| 3. First Time Installation / Upgrade ||
\*================================================ ======================*/
1. Upload all files from the "upload" folder to your forums directory.
2. Import the product-dbtech_dbseo.xml file from the "XML" folder at
AdminCP -> Plugins & Products -> Manage Products -> Add/Import Product
3. Edit your .htaccess file and add the following to your .htaccess file:
RewriteEngine On
# If you are having problem with "None Could Be Negotiated" errors in Apache, uncomment this to turn off MultiViews
# Options -MultiViews
RewriteCond %{REQUEST_URI} !(admincp/|dbseocp/|modcp/|cron|mobiquo|forumrunner|api\.php|reviewpost/|classifieds/|photopost/)
RewriteRule ^((archive/)?(.*\.php(/.*)?))$ dbseo.php [L,QSA]
RewriteCond %{REQUEST_FILENAME} !-f
RewriteCond %{REQUEST_FILENAME} !-d
RewriteCond %{REQUEST_FILENAME} !/(admincp|dbseocp|modcp|clientscript|cpstyles|image s|reviewpost|classifieds|photopost)/
RewriteRule ^(.+)$ dbseo.php [L,QSA]
4. (vB4 Only) Go to AdminCP -> Settings -> Options -> Friendly URLs
and set the "URL Type" to "Standard URLs".
5. (vB4 Only) Go to AdminCP -> Settings -> Options -> Friendly URLs
and set the "Canonical URL" enforcement to "Off"
6. That's it! You can start editing settings and setting usergroup permissions.
7. The Admin controls can be found at /dbseocp/ - NOT in the AdminCP!
PS: If you are receiving 500 Internal Server Error issues, please instead try the following .htaccess rules:
RewriteEngine On
# If you are having problem with "None Could Be Negotiated" errors in Apache, uncomment this to turn off MultiViews
# Options -MultiViews
RewriteCond %{QUERY_STRING} !dbseourl=
RewriteCond %{REQUEST_URI} !(admincp/|dbseocp/|modcp/|cron|mobiquo|forumrunner|api\.php|reviewpost/|classifieds/|photopost/)

I bought DragonByte SEO 2.0.41 pro with a life time license.
I am having problem with the url rewriting of the activity stream of What's New ? (activity.php)
The url rewriting is working fine under the english language for activity.php but it is not working with the french language.
Here a screen capture with english language
https://drive.google.com/file/d/1fDly9rRtwM9SIVzAQTD8j-OzIIDLwuGf/view?usp=sharing
Here is a screen capture with french language
https://drive.google.com/file/d/1xejYBTW7eiBoOYU2AT60Jv-uqq_MKPSn/view?usp=sharing
Under french language, the php link is pointing to a unstinting page.
Does someone have any idea how to fix it

There appears to be abuse of the MOD coming from China, see my hosting company's response:
When investigating, it would appear that the emails were as follows:

I believe that this may be some sort of attempt to exfiltrate data from your site.
To prevent any further attempts, I have zeroed the permissions on the file.
I would strongly suggest consulting your developer before resetting the permissions on this.

DB des not readily reply to support requests here so I popped over and saw Fillip note about this as:
"They're marked as optional so there's no change that's needed :)
No change is planned at this time."

The google robot doesn't recognize urls DBseo.
If I put the URL without DBseo to google webmaster, it works and recognizes it.

There are almost 2000 URLs
If you have recently installed dbseo (within the past 2-3 month's or so) then you will need to give google the time to update the urls and replace the old ones with the new ones. That process can take several months. I don't have any such issues with it detecting my rewritten urls.

I do not use the url rewrite of this hack and I have encountered a problem
I set the "Link Titles" section to "Overwrite Titles" in the settings
When a user sends a link (example: http://site.co/showthread.php?t=1010), After sending the post, it will be displayed as follows:
Thread Title (http://site.co/-/1010-a.html)
But this link is wrong because I did not activate the url rewriting settings and it should be like this:
Thread Title (http://site.co/showthread.php?t=1010)
Please help solve this problem

DragonByte has all but abandoned the VB platform. Even support on their site (at least for VB4) is minimalistic at best. They will only look at an issue if it effects the core of the modification. If the issue is say with Google Tools (as in the DBSeo ability) they will refuse to look at it as the application itself works.
As for DBSeo there is a known DB error with certain configurations and regex that they ultimately brush off and want you to just use a different configuration to bypass the issue.

This message is for DragonByte. I signed up on your site and downloaded mods for VB but it's asking me to provide a license for the other forum modes. To my knowledge I only downloaded VB products but I don't see the download. JudicialCriminals is me. My license for VB is legit. Please send the download links for all of the Mods I selected on your site. Thanks in advance
