I just switched to VBSEO, i cant continue using this shit, im a premium user from DBSEO and VBSEO i paid for them, i know VBSEO is not more supported, but i think still is better that dbseo.

Do the default rewrite/fetch settings for this interfere with Viglink at all? Viglink is a pretty big source of revenue for my forum, and I just want to make sure it's not going to interrupt the pingback for the referral.

Also, I just did a fresh install of the Lite version to determine if I want to go pro. Just about everything went smoothly, but some of my threads simply redirect back to the forum.

For example, if I view this forum:

As you can see, the first link (the one that does not work) isn't rewriting the URL correctly. The link for the last post in the thread DOES work correctly though - that formats like so:

My forum URL rewrite is set to "forum_title]/".

I've found a few other threads like this, and the "fix" has been to move them to a different forum without a redirect and then to simply move them back. I'm not sure how many are like this (I've found a few so far) but I'll leave the one in my example alone until DBTech has a chance to take a peek.

I've observed that in some old blog entries atachments were lost until I've deactivated the atachments rewrite in blogs (all options by default)

You need to remove everything first xml then files then what you put into htacees then you would also run all update counters but not needed but run if wanted also clear system cache

invalid_grant could me problem with time on server, or refresh token limit has been exceeded.
Are you authenticating twice.. I have not checked this tool yet but have seen those errors on GA/GWT...
are there some cookie timeout settings in this mod, if yes re-check..

Just trying to help based on my experience with this error faced on other software scripts.. probably developer mite give right shot.

I had the same problem so I done it on IE and it worked do this after your site url /dbseocp/index.php?do=analytics&oauth_logout=true and you'll be asked to re-auth.
and make sure your google account has not been disabled

We design our software to suit the most diverse set of forums & skill sets, which is why you'll rarely see our software requiring complex setup on 3rd party sites or a massive amount of file edits, or any such nonsense.

While you personally might be 100% fine with all these things, this is not the case for every other forum administrator out there.

I hope you understand :)

The bug in the Arrowchat and Cometchat script is in the file references. /forum/arrowchat/ should be replaced with {vb:raw vboptions.bburl}/arrowchat/

You might want to ask the developers of that modification to implement this in the core product, because it's quite a problematic bug in their code.

Hello DBTech Developers,

I have an issue I am hoping to figure out. I have attached an image of all the relevant system information.

One of our users reported that he uses the "Linear - Newest First" thread display mode and that when he submits a post in a thread with more than one page he is taken to the last page where the oldest posts are displayed, rather than being taken to the top of the first page as he should. I have verified this happens to me as well when I changed my thread display mode settings to match his.

I also notice that if I click the icon on the forum display page that will take you to the last post in a thread, I am instead taken to the last page where the oldest posts are displayed. And if I click the enumerated links at the upper right of the posts, I am taken to the last page if I am on the first and to the first page if I am on the last.

I have always used the "Linear - Oldest First" thread display mode and so I never noticed this issue before now. This is not an issue on my two dev sites on which I do not have [DBTech] DragonByte SEO v1 (vB4) installed and when this issue was first reported, the site ower immediately suspected it likely had something to do with the "URL Rewrite Settings."

So, I am hoping someone can help me get to the bottom of this. I performed a search of the web and this thread and did not find anything relating to this issue.

YES, that's normal. Aggravating as all get up, but Quite Normal for the software. dbSEO Quadrupled the server load and makes our CPU run through the roof so to speak. We're on a dedicated quad servers (running 16 Xeon processors) and it's literally STILL not enough due to the load.

Moving CSS and Attachments to the file store will help performance a lot, but it's 100% unrelated to DBSEO.

The reason why XCache greatly benefits DBSEO is because resolved URLs can be cached, meaning that lookups are essentially "free".

If your developers are telling you that XCache is useless for your site, then I would seriously question their reasoning.

I'm sorry, it's just incredibly frustrating trying to optimize a site & maintain traffic at the same time. I love what dbSEO does in theory, but how it plays out in real time is a different story.

******************************************UPDATE** *******************************

NO NO NO NO NO. With the help of my server host we discovered that a Mod I was using was causing the loading issues and Spike in dbSEO's CPU usage. It was NOT dbSEO after all that caused the issue.

So, for those of you with loading/server spike issues.

1. Disable ALL of your mods, Enable them 1 at a time and run a webpagetest EACH time before proceeding to ensure that the newly enabled mod is NOT interfering with your server (or dbSEO) and load times.

2. In case anyone is wondering which mod was causing the severe issues, it was the Check 4 Hack Mod. (https://vborg.vbsupport.ru/showthread.php?t=265866) (which again, is more than like user error because that particular mod says for use on vb sites up to version 4.1.4 . It does NOT state that it will work in my (newer) version. So- My Bad, yet again.

For the sake of Clarity, dbSEO was NOT causing the severe load on the server and I humbly apologize to them for MY error.

It's completely understandable that anyone would think DBSEO would be the cause of increased server load - after all, it does add a lot of pre- and post-processing to the page. Certain web monitoring scripts such as the ones found in cPanel / WHM also tend to attribute increased resource usage to DBSEO, because of the fact that DBSEO "loads" vBulletin once the URL has been resolved. These resource monitors therefore think that DBSEO is responsible for all of vBulletin's resource usage.

In either case, I'm very happy that this has been resolved for you :)

any recommendations?This means the files have not been uploaded correctly, or the product has not been imported correctly. It could be due to missing phrases, which can happen if you have a large amount of modifications installed and your MySQL Max Allowed Packet is too low.

Fillip i check it, it is not as good as vbseo's like and the style is very generic. Are you taking recommendations or can't ? You guys took over vbseo when it went down with a vision of presenting something better and stronger. Vbseo not updating its script didn't mean it was bad, many features it have not even dbseo has yet.

I use dbseo on one of my sites and it is not doing as great as vbseo was performing on my main site, so i had the chance to try both. Also reporting several errors for its sitemap on google webmaster, i did let matt know and he told me he will let you know but you are always mia.

Vbseo like is nothing like dbseo like. Your like system is similar to many like plugin on vb really.

It's a bit offtopic here, but just to mention, I tested impact on server from "like system", both vBSEO, and DBTech's own APTL.

Before both systems had biggest impact on server of all mods I have. They doubled spent resources. Although it's not quite right, if you have 1000 users barey, without any of likes mod, you could have 2000.

Also, vBSEO used a bit more of server resources than DBTech's APTL.

But, DBTech develops it's mod still and now APTL has almost none impact on the server resources. I wrote more about this fact in APTL thread.

Anyway, many sites that use vBSEO basically need to show 10 posts per page, to have similar impact on server with 25 posts per page. With APTL you can have 25 posts per page if you want to. And go to 10 posts per page if you want more users on you forum with same server.

2. Disable any popup blockers in your browser for the DBSEO CP
3. Click either Webmaster Reports or Google Analytics Reports
4. Click the Authenticate button
5. A new tab will have opened containing an authorisation request. Make sure you sign in with the Google account previously associated with your Google Analytics and/or Google Webmaster Tools accounts
6. Copy the code from the text field and click Authenticate again.

So there is no way to affect the display of an error message that is being generated by your modification?You asked for a way to hide it from the public. The information displayed is essential - reporting "There is an error, please fix." is about as useful to me as me telling you "go over there".

DBSEO cannot determine whether the user receiving the error is an administrator or a user, because vBulletin with its permissions system has not loaded yet.

Therefore, the full error message is displayed, including diagnostic information I require in order to assist (e.g. MySQL version).

2- Okay , but GWT automatically download the sitemap and crawl the site frequently after the submission of the sitemap , Right ? so what is the difference if the mod auto submit and the GWT redownload the sitemap again ?

I think It's the time to move from vBSEO to your decent product but there are some questions:

- How much memory per PHP process your modification needs? because vBSEO has consumed ridiculous 250MB per PHP process ( per visitor )

- What's the procedure for installing pro version regarding vBSEO? First disable that plugin, Install yours, Import configs ( our URLs wouldn't change, right? ) and after that unistall vBSEO?

- If we use vBSEO configurations for mod_rewrite --> URLs, will we get your product advantages regarding better crawling and seo ? or we have to use your configurations to get that effect?

The way I did mine in 2014, was just:

Uninstall vbseo
Install dbseo

And just make sure the Url Rewrite settings match up... takes some manual adjusting but it's super easy. Never had a single issue doing it this way.

I use Lite version of this mod, I had in past vbseo and chaged to dbseo about a month ago. I have on main site example.com the CMS and on forum.example.com the Forum. Everythign it is ok on forum side, but whn I activate the rewrite of URL on CMS all the links from site have forum before, I deactivate the CMS rewrite and everything gets back as it should. The forum rewrite works without problems. I think this is a bug and not a option just for pro because the settings are there on lite version. If is not the case I would like to know.

I think It's the time to move from vBSEO to your decent product but there are some questions:

- How much memory per PHP process your modification needs? because vBSEO has consumed ridiculous 250MB per PHP process ( per visitor )

- What's the procedure for installing pro version regarding vBSEO? First disable that plugin, Install yours, Import configs ( our URLs wouldn't change, right? ) and after that unistall vBSEO?

- If we use vBSEO configurations for mod_rewrite --> URLs, will we get your product advantages regarding better crawling and seo ? or we have to use your configurations to get that effect?

This error is not related vb, it's related Dragonbyte SEO...You will need a similar solution in order to make it work with the regexp, since it currently does not support multibyte characters. I would recommend changing your regexp to not include these characters.

Pro version of DBSEO has rewrite history option.

Theoretically, you can have more than one change in rewrite rules (all accumulated over time), all these changes would be stored in rewrite history and whichever rewrite user (Google included) would used to land on your site would be recognized from history and will end in rendering correct page.

So you wouldn't use any ranking with Google and even your old links would continue to work. In vBSEO you have only one shot to decide which rewrite rules you want to use, but with pro version of DBSEO you can change your mind and have everything working without problems.

I just tried going to the latest update, 2.0.19 and it broke the forum. I got the message that there were redirect loops. Tried reinstalling the upgrade again (in case something didn't copy right) -- problem still there.

Reverted to 2.0.12 and things went back to working.

Let me know if there is anything I can try pulling from a log to help find a fix.

That means the domain you're working on does not have an account or a Web Property associated with the Google account you authorised in the previous step.

You can resolve this by following the instructions in the description and creating a new account and Web Property on the Google Analytics website linked in the description.

Is there anyway I can check my old url structure in vbseo ? (I still have the database tables intact, vbseo is disabled not removed yet)

For now, my only way to check old urls is via statistics software.. Webalizer stats etc. which comes with cpanel.
I can post some urls here, if you can help me configure the same in dbseo.

Like Main Category url
Forum Display URL
Showthread URL.
Blog/etc. any other settings I had configured.

You can inspect your vbseo-config.xml file however we cannot offer assistance with manually re-creating it. The Lite version of DBSEO also doesn't support custom URLs, so if the formats are not within the default vBSEO options then they will not be compatible with the Lite version unfortunately :(

To check for comparable DBSEO URLs, use [] instead of %%. F.ex. [forum_title]/[thread_id]-[thread_title].html :)

When you visit /dbseositemap.php with no parameters, it should fetch the /store_sitemap/dbseo_sitemap_index.xml.gz (or just dbseo_sitemap_index.xml if the .gz doesn't exist), assuming the server tells PHP that file exists and is readable.

If disabling memcache does not fix it, and you're double sure that file exists, then this would be a server issue that you should contact your host about.

I have install this hack on my board but give databas error .
Now this hack is installed but i can see Dbseo setting menu just when i change forum language set to english
Also i can't translate any language file after install it (give database error)

Installed on a site and site works fine when the forum.php page is the default page in Navigation Manager but if Articles is the default tab in Navigation Manager, you can get to the forums no matter whether you click on the Forums tab or even manually enter the forum.php page in the browser, it keeps you in the Articles section (content.php.). Any ideas?
