Where the mod gets the phrases for month names? Because i've translated all vb phrases for months and it still using ones in english!

Ok, i see. So if my host was set to "answer" to the php strftime in english, it will be used the english, right? Is there a way to "force" the script or the server to answer in other language, like portuguese (pt-BR)?

In Apache Environement, there is a setting like this:

HTTP_ACCEPT_LANGUAGE pt-BR,pt;q=0.9,en;q=0.8

Can i use setlocale to do something like this?

BTW, during the install of the product it seemed to have timed out. During this time, mysql was running:

And my post table is huge. Could it be that the install did not complete because it eventually timed out waiting for the Alter Table above to complete? I see no entries in my postbit template for:

I will postpone the release of v1.6, which will take into account "Blog entries". :( The reason is that I am still testing it on my blog, redefining hooks for vbulletin blog.

Hello all,

I seem to be experiencing a small problem with the PMs that are sent after a poll closes. For example

Title


Body


The first obvious problem is the missing phrase from the title, after hunting around in this thread it seems that this problem was reported and fixed a few weeks ago. I have the latest version of all files so not sure why this is still happening.

The second issue is that I do not use reputation on my board so when the PM refers to these it is meaningless. In ACP I have set reputation bonus to 0 and disabled.

The final issue is this in the PM body:



What is that?

And finally, a small suggestion it would be great if the PM told the receiver what position their thread came in. For example "Your thread came [first/second/third]"

Okay I'm confused this morning....... we've just had the change ove to the new TOTM month (which went fine) and I'm trying to work out what the hall of fame is showing.

1) According to the poll the post / thead which won the vote is the one starting 'Pontui...' - with 4 nominations, yet the HAF does not even list that in the awards?

The other part, showing the highest users with nomination totals seem to be fine.

2) We also seem to have a Nomination statistic which has dropped down to the second row and is included in the topics?

I'm having some problems with reputation also.

The settings are made with 50|25|10 reputation points for first, second and third positions. The winner user received 50 points, but the PM body is saying 25 points.

Another thing: it is possible to include in next version a VbCredits integration? Where i can give credits for the nomiation winners!

Obviously the phrases aren't showing up properly. And like many others, we don't use reputation points. I've manually edited this hoping it will look better next month, but there should be a section in the options to edit the subject header and the body of the content...plus the phrases should work properly when using the {2} etc (view under regards...there should be "staff" or something there.


Additions to consider:
1st, 2nd and 3rd places. Rather than the top 3 winning, make it so they have a count for gold, silver and bronze winners. B/c this last month I had 32 | 29 | 9 as my top 3 winners...3rd place got 9 votes which was a sad blow out but I think the users need to see who has won the gold, silver and bronze.

It would be nice to be able to vote via the poll thread, but I'm not sure how hard/easy that would be to implement.

A great addition would be to integrate it in with YaAS 4.0.

Update in version 1.60

Option to nominate blog entries (addition v 1.6)
Option to have award winners or nominated posts icons displayed on posts, so that nominated posts can be easily identified when listing posts.
Option to close current nomination thread and create a new one directly from the ACP (NOT VIA THE CRON)


I implemented and tested the most pressing feedback and will be implementing other feedback soon, also a search for nominated blog entries will be implemented at a later date. Have patience as I am busy with other matters during working days. :)

Ensure that the column is_blog has been created in the table nominate_topic when you imported the product. If it has not been created, you will have to do it manually either via phpmyadmin or via ACP -> Maintenance -> Execute SQL Query. Here are the instructions (same as specified in the product file):

ALTER TABLE `TABLE_PREFIX_nominate_topic` ADD `is_blog` TINYINT( 1 ) UNSIGNED DEFAULT '0' NOT NULL
ALTER TABLE `TABLE_PREFIX_blog` ADD `nominate_topic_amount` INT( 10 ) UNSIGNED DEFAULT '0' NOT NULL
ALTER TABLE `TABLE_PREFIX_blog` ADD `nominate_topic_award` INT( 10 ) UNSIGNED DEFAULT '0' NOT NULL

Heres a minor bug with 1.61

When a blog is nominated and this is listed in the poll, the poll entry has a href link to the actual blog entry (like it does with threads/post) however the markup for it is incorrect so it points to:

http://"http//www.mysite.com/blog.php?b=29234

Probably a simple template issue but I can't find it

Also, it would be really good if there was a hook around the winner notification. This would be useful to do extra things like giving a Casino or Credits bonus to the users. I have hacked the cron file to do this but I hook is a better solution

Heres another, the title of the PM sent to winners is:

Interesting I had this same problem with earlier versions 1.5 and 1.51 and ending up hacking the cron php file to hardcoded PM title and message. In addition to this the reputation comments are included in the PM even though the reputation system is off in the mod and finally I simply can not get the product to use my translated phrases. Don't get me wrong this is a great mod, but the language used in some of the phrases is a bit "odd" ;)

It seems that everytime the cron job is run it recreates the nomination thread and sends the winner PM's.

Currently I have this configured to weekly, so these events should only occur at the end of the week.

Also, there are no nominations at the moment but it is still sending out PM's but the {1} & {2} in the message are blank

Sigh it seems like more was broken with 1.60/1.61 than was fixed.

My poll wouldn't close on it's own so I used the new tool to start a new poll. That works fine, but it doesn't award the winners. I manually did those changes in the database fine, but the new poll took all the posts that didn't win from the previous week when I nominated the first new post for this week.

I only want posts from the last week to be eligible for nominating, but although "Disable Nominating Topics Older Than X Days" is set to 7, every old post on the board (except those nominated in previous contests) can be nominated.

I wondered if it had something to do with "Disable Nominating Topics Not Made During Preceeding Month" because the "no" option states "(No: to consider nominating any posts)". If I set this to "yes" no posts are eligible, but there doesn't seem to be a weekly equivalent of the option.

Heres a minor bug with 1.61

When a blog is nominated and this is listed in the poll, the poll entry has a href link to the actual blog entry (like it does with threads/post) however the markup for it is incorrect so it points to:

http://"http//www.mysite.com/blog.php?b=29234

Probably a simple template issue but I can't find it

Also, it would be really good if there was a hook around the winner notification. This would be useful to do extra things like giving a Casino or Credits bonus to the users. I have hacked the cron file to do this but I hook is a better solution

Typing mistake fixed in the "nominate_topic_admin.php". nominate_topic_amount instead of nominated_topic_amount.
Fix for http:"//... occurring in the poll while listing blog entries. At the moment, there is no [blog] tag in vbulletin allows you to link to blogs entries by specifying the blog id. Thus, we will have to keep with the [url] tag, which pops-up a new window.
Display of nomination stamps while listing blog entries from the blog.
Fix for displaying of blog entries in poll when a post is nominated from the non blog board.


Feedback are welcome and implementation of constructive suggestions will likely be carried out during weekends only, as I am kept busy with other matters during working days.

To other coders: feel free to add improvements to the Mod (files) and post them. I will directly use your updated files for the next version of the mod.

You will have to add the new column manually, via phpmyadmin, as vbulletin did not executed the "ALTER TABLE" command stated in the nominate_topic.xml file.

But that is for statistics, but I wish to remove the moderation links in the dropdown popup you get when you click on one's username in postbits,..that says...

I have a request.

When the polls are created the link is in this format: http://www.tenstones.net/forums/showthread.php?t=394634 which doesn't link correctly with vBSEO installed.

If I refresh the poll it becomes: http://www.tenstones.net/forums/showthread.php?t=279197&p=394634 which links correctly.

Is there a way to make it use the 2nd format all the time?

if you right click on the text that shows where the image is supposed to be (on the forums pages) and look at properties you will see there the folder needs to be uploaded to.

The system ahs created the poll thread OK. There is juts no way to nominate anything.

Am I missing an obvious step?

(Note - just to clarify, it's not a boken image issue, it's clearly a permisisons issue in some way).

ok, i looked in the templates and found what was keeping the image from showing.

in the nominate_topic_button template it has

style="display:$display_nominations_image"

if I remove

it works

Edit the corresponding phrase either from vbulletin phrases or directly by editing the "nominate_topic.xml"

This is a great mod and our members really seem to like it.
Suddenly however, a new poll thread is not being created at the scheduled time, even when I run the cron job manually.
When I attempt to run the cron manulally, the next screen simply reads "Nominate Weekly Or Monthly Topic Mod" with no further activity.

Not sure of what changed.

OK, the first week of nominations is over. The good news is that the system correctly started a new nomination thread on the 7th day. The bad news? I have no idea who won!

1) The Hall of Fame page just looks odd. It only shows two winning threads, and one of those it doesn't even show name for, and claims it was submitted for nomination zero times:

(Apologies for the slow load time - that's the mod, not my site).

2) The nomination thread itself only shows 9 nominated threads out of a few dozen. So I don't know what the top 3 or whatever are, since I can only see 9 seemingly random ones. I knwo there are some with high nomination counts which aren't showing on it.

So either I've done something very, very wrong in the configuration, or the mod doesn't actually achieve the goal it sets out to do.

Can we fix this?

I have checked options to enable this mod, to configure ForumID to receive polls and Nomination Threads Owner ID option, but i don't know what's the problem.

One of the templates it wrong. Others had the same problem. The solution is in one of the posts above - you need to manually fix the postbit template.

OK, the first week of nominations is over. The good news is that the system correctly started a new nomination thread on the 7th day. The bad news? I have no idea who won!

1) The Hall of Fame page just looks odd. It only shows two winning threads, and one of those it doesn't even show name for, and claims it was submitted for nomination zero times:

(Apologies for the slow load time - that's the mod, not my site).

2) The nomination thread itself only shows 9 nominated threads out of a few dozen. So I don't know what the top 3 or whatever are, since I can only see 9 seemingly random ones. I knwo there are some with high nomination counts which aren't showing on it.

So either I've done something very, very wrong in the configuration, or the mod doesn't actually achieve the goal it sets out to do.

Can we fix this?

Will have a look at this during the weekend and post an update if needed. :)

Yeah, 76K here. Which really shows up non-optimized stuff via massive slowdowns. Probably isn't noticeable on smaller boards, and probably crashes larger boards. :)

I'm still getting the PM errors with the missing phrases. But only in the title. It says "<b>Could not find phrase 'This is an automatic message to inform you that your post on {2} is amongst the winners of this cycle time topic nomination contest.'.</b>

Is there a way to disable the PM's until this is fixed? I've set the option to NO but it still sends PM's to the winners.

I also agree that this mod should be marked Beta.

Well I'm now unfortunately joining the club where I'm strongly considering removing this Mod (even though I love it) due to the following:

1) PM's advising about awards still being titled:

"Could not find phrase 'This is an automatic message to inform you that your post on {2} is amongst the winners of this cycle time topic nomination contest.'."

This makes the forum look unprofessional

2) The Hall of Fame still does not make sense. To me is should show which topics / forum members have won awards in each month which it doesn't. The HOF is still formatted wrongly (see bottom right image in the attachment)

3) This morning it decided to close the nominations for the previous month and yet created a new topic for the next month with the same heading.

It is frustrating as it is so close to being a damned good mod (one of the best I've installed) but without these glitches being fixed........

The Hall of Fame is meant to show cummulated results. If you want results for each month, feel free to modify the code as you see fit or disable displaying the Hall of Fame from the ACP.

Do a clean installation by following all steps as mentionned in the Readme file.

I think you're missing the point. It's no evil to not use a mod, and nobody is saying he's evil for making it! However some of us have large boards which generate income and are the backbone of healthy businesses; so new additions need to work perfectly and not cause issues.

I'm sure he's doing his best, and I'm sure we all commend him for his effort, and if this mod gets finished, I'm sure I will look at installing it again.

Most likely this is a settings configuration problem. Assuming that you have forumids & usergroup permissions set correctly, there are still 3 settings that can prevent the nominate post icon from showing. These are "Disable Nominating Topics Older Than X Days", "Disable Nominating Topics Not Made During Preceeding Month", and "Allow user to nominate their own post?" (which defaults to 'No'). So if you are testing and have not changed the defaults, then you won't see the nominate post button if you are viewing your own posts. But you should see the button if you are viewing others' posts. If you enabled time limits for the other 2 settings, then posts older than whatever time you set will not have the button.

Someone posted a while ago that the solution was to remove the "display:" keyword in the style attribute of the link in the nominate_topic_button template. I'm sure this is not the right solution since it will disable those 3 settings above and always display the nominate post button.

Users who are automatically logged off have their cookies disabled. The solution is to add $session[sessionurl] to the links, which Data did in the nominate_topic_button template for the button. Either you are talking about another link or button, or another mod is causing the automatic log-off.

In regards to #1 & #3, see my bug fixes that I will post next.
For #2, as with any Hall of Fame in real life, it shows things that are most distinguished/ most awarded, which it does correctly.

Data never claimed that it was an Awards History page to show topics and members winners chronologically by month. If you ask nicely, maybe he'll consider implementing your suggestion ;) Note that as stated in the Hall of Fame titles, it shows members & topics with the most awards, not the most nominations.

Minor Bug: In the Members with Most Awards block, there is a bug in the phrase "nominated 'x' times in 'y' posts". I tested it with 3 nominations in 3 posts, but it showed "nominated 3 times in 1 posts".

Bug Fix ? close old & start new contest thread: The current contest thread will not close and a new contest thread will not begin if your computer/ server was down or you had the nominate topic cron task disabled when the cron task is scheduled to run. As Data noted in his script: ./includes/cron/nominate_topic_cron.php in line #247 (in v1.63), you can uncomment a line to get the current contest thread to close and a new one to begin. Basically, you change ?// $createNewThread = 1;? to ?$createNewThread = 1;? then run the nominate topic cron task manually, then put the ?// ? back into ?$createNewThread = 1;? To run the cron task manually, on the AdminCP left side column, go to Scheduled Tasks > Scheduled Task Manager > find Nominate Topic Mod and click ?Run Now? (make sure it?s enabled first ? should have a check mark next to the title).

Bug Fix ? ?can?t find phrase? error in PM subject: There are some missing code in ./includes/cron/nominate_topic_cron.php file:

DATA, there are 2 quick fixes you can do in your product xml file to reduce confusion for users of this mod.
1. The default value for nominate_topic_header_nextcyle should be 'No'. I think it confuses people to have the contest titled November when they are voting in October.

2. The default value for nominate_topic_poster_button should be 'Yes'. Even though some users may not want the post author to nominate his own thread, initially disabling this causes users to wonder why the nominate button doesn't appear when they first install and test this mod (when testing, a user will most likely create a post and then try to nominate it, but will not see the nominate button because it's his own post). Users can always set the value to 'No' whenever they want to.

Thanks for this mod. I have installed 162 then 163 then the 165. My problem is that I was trying the mod so I nominated 2 threads. Then I clicked to remove these nominations but 1 still shows in the poll results. How can I remove this 1 poll result? Isn't there like a reset feature?

Did you try refreshing the poll thread? On the adminCP left column, go to Nominate Topic > click Refresh Poll Thread.
If that doesn't work, you can try deleting the thread, but make sure you set "On Topic Deletion What To Do?" to 'Yes' in VB Options > Nominate Topic settings.

If, like you say, you just installed, then I don't think you will have this hall of fame yet. After there has been winners in the nominations there will be one though. Hope I understood you correctly.

I have update and got problem when I login as admin, nominate 1 thread, then try to withdraw nomination. See below :

I didn't catch this bug when I reported the fix for the incorrect thread titles for monthly contests - sorry Data. It's a similar bug caused by creating threads at the last day of the month. To fix, in the ./includes/cron/nominate_topic_cron.php file,
FIND 2 occurences of:
if (($day == 15) || ($day == $days_in_month)){CHANGE that to:
if ($day == 15 || $day == 1) {

If you set it for weekly contests, then it will create the thread on Monday.

If you set it for fortnight contests, it will create the thread on the 15 or the last day of the month (will be changed to the first day in next version).

If you set it for monthly contests, it will create the thread on the 1st day.

I am editing my post to add an idea. What if you can add some kind of mod that would show on the main page the nominated posts. I mean it would take its info. from your mode then display it in scrolling text or in a fixed table on the main forum page with medals or stars showing who was nominated and for which period. Just an idea that came to me now. Thanks for this mod. It's working great.

You can limit posts that can be nominated to "first post only" in the setting "Which Post Must Be Considered For Nomination." You can limit # of nominations a user can submit in the setting "Maximun Number Of Topic A User Can Nominate Per Cycle Time."

The Nominations & Hall of Fame links will not appear when the users are viewing non-forum pages (ie: social groups or tags pages).
Solution: REMOVE the code below from the Topic Nomination global_setup_complete plugin and add a new plugin hooked to parse_templates (you can name it "Topic Nomination Navbar Links").

I'm getting the same error on both my sites. I get it when I open any thread on both sites - the error is:

This error only shows in IE and not Firefox. It's a "Topic of the month" error because when I disable the mod the error disappears!

Nice mod, but after installing I have a major problem. I have turned it off but still was a problem so I disabled it in the Admin Products System.

This mod is compatible with VB 3.8-beta1:
I tested this mod with VB 3.8-beta1 without any problems. I changed the date on my computer to Nov. 1 to create the scenario for this mod to create a new nomination thread. It worked fine without any problems. Nominations are counted, nomination icons & buttons appear where applicable, PM message notifying winners is correct, thread title is correct, and Nominations Hall of Fame works fine (remember it's not an Awards History page - it shows top winners & top posts).

Please read the following before posting messages next week about repeated thread titles when new monthly nomination threads are created. For some users (depending on your settings), you may have a repeated thread title for Nov., but this should only happen once (due to pre-1.636 default settings).

Notes about next month's thread title:
When “Display Next Cycle Time On Contest Header” in Topic Nominations settings is set to ‘yes,’ the thread title shows 1 month ahead (so Oct. contest is titled Nov.), and when set to ‘no,’ the thread title shows the same month as the contest (so Oct. contest is titled Oct.).

Note that if you change that setting from ‘yes’ to ‘no’ then the contest thread title will repeat a month. So if you had it set to ‘yes’ this month and changed it to ‘no’ for next month, then for the November contest you’ll get a repeated title of Nov.

Note that if you change that setting from ‘no’ to ‘yes’ then the contest thread title will skip a month. So if you had it set to ‘no’ this month and changed it to ‘yes’ for next month, then for the November contest you’ll get a skipped title of Dec.

These notes apply to everyone for all versions, but in particular v1.636:

Just a question... Installed and after I upload everything the mod was working fine. When to change some of the setting in the Admincp and it just shows a blank page ?

Any idea as to what happened. Side navigation is still there but it is like the settings page has no settings... kind of weird since I am sure when I installed it I was able to set the settings.

I reinstalled all the scripts and imported the product again but sill the same.

Just found the answer myself in another post here:

You can disable it from your ACP -> Nominate Topic -> Nominate Topic Settings -> Archive Nominations -> NO

If I set, that you can't nominate your own posts and somebody does it ...
or if I set, that a member has to write 50 posts to have permission to write and somebody has fewer but wants to nominate ... I keep getting the same permission error message which doesn't tell me what the problem is.
No message that I can't nominate my own post or something like that.
Is this correct like this? How to change that?

You are using an older version. This bug has been fixed in the newest version - download & reinstall the mod.

Have your tried uninstalling then reinstalling the mod? What exactly is the error message you get that causes the browser to crash? Also, which browsers are crashing, IE6, IE7, FF2, FF3, etc? Can't really help you without knowing the error message and more details.

This mod has been tested with VB 3.7.3 and 3.8.0-beta1 with only minor bugs (previously posted) - there's no bugs that cause browser crashes.

Also, you need to mark this mod "Installed" if you want further help....

The users must go to the nominated threads or posts to vote; the nomination thread is just for tallying the votes and users' comments. You can limit the votes to just the first posts in the nominations options page.

Again one awesome hack coz new users have what to read before starting to post in forum and also a better way to build reputations for users than just post count.

I've searched this support forum but did not find an answer for the following two issues/questions:

Link on Quick Links (either Hall of Fame OR TOTW thread) takes me to a page that looks like my forumhome page without any of the images working. There doesn't seem to be an actual Hall of Fame I can find anywhere. Had to "No" both of those Quick Links option. Would like to use it though. Any help on why these links don't take me anywhere?

After I did a refresh, all my previous winners lost the image stamp on their winning post. Are they supposed to keep it past their current winning week? Or does it go away when the new week starts? If the Hall of Fame is supposed to replace that winning stamp icon, I don't have one. So only the postbit info reveals that have won in the past.

I have found that the SKIN you have may be a factor as to why you cannot see things. Once I changed my skin, I was able to see all the images fine.

The Forum ID setting you're talking about is the correct setting to solve that error message, so it's probably the specific forum ID that you're inputting. Go to the Forum Manager and check the settings for that forum ID: make sure the settings for "act as forum", "forum is active", and "forum is open" are set to "Yes." To verify if your specific forum is preventing nominations, just create a new forum with the above settings set to "Yes".

After that, the nomination thread will show up automatically ONLY on the 1st of the month (for monthly contests) or 1st day of the week (should be Sunday or Monday for weekly contests). If you don't want to wait that long, then you can go to the "Nominate Topic" settings block on the left side of the AdminCP and click the "Create New Poll Thread" link.

After that, to get the poll to show up, you need to nominate a post. The nominate button may not show up on all posts, depending on your settings (ie: first posts only?, can nominate own posts?, nominate last month's posts only?, etc). To be sure, nominate the FIRST post that's made by someone ELSE in the PAST month.

In my AdminCP, it's located right below the "Threads & Posts" settings block on the left side. Try finding it there.... if you still can't, don't know what to say.... maybe reinstall with "allow overwrite".

Ok, I found your problem.... most likely you did not upload or upload incorrectly the file cpnav_nominate_topic.xml to the /forum/includes/xml folder. Try uploading that file again and Ctrl+Refresh the AdminCP page to see if the "Nominate Topic" settings block shows up.

Damned! If I open a topic (any topic on my forum) I recieve a message that the page doesn't exist...????? I uninstalled the mod and now the topics open again without any problem.

What was the problem...?

I 2nd that, this mod works fine in VB 3.8. There are some minor bugs, but these bugs existed prior to VB 3.8.

Can someone please tell me, how to set the start-date for the nomination of the month-cycle? Currently it shows march, but I need to set it to february. Do I have to modify the cronjob or is it not possible at all?

This is probably caused by the VB Options > Nominations setting, Display Next Cycle Time On Contest Header, being set to 'Yes'. You should set it to 'No'.

To change the title of the current poll, just change the title of the poll thread (via edit thread) and click "Refresh Poll Thread" in the Nominate Topic block on the left side of the adminCP.

This mod is so effed up right now. Ever since the new year. Once Jan 09 came, it showed Dec 08 and overwrote my dec 08 polls. So I edited it...and redid it with a new poll. Now...feb came and it over wrote my jan poll...wtf is going on. I had this set and working just fine in 08 and now everything is being overwritten.

I think there's a Bug on the Messages send to Users when they Win or are among the Winners of a Cycle of Time, because in the PM that they receive the Title of the Message says:

Could not find phrase 'This is an automatic message to inform you that your post on {2} is amongst the winners of this cycle time topic nomination contest.'.

but inside the Message the Link to the Post as well as the Title of the Thread of the Post is Displayed Ok.

Could you please point me to the Plugin or File I should Edit, and/or the Phrase I should add, in order to Correct this Bug in the Title of the PM? :confused:

Sounds like you're missing the phrase: nominate_topic_awardwinner_pm, which should have a phrase type of "Email Subject Text". Add it with whatever text you want.

Just in case, you should verify that you also have: nominate_topic_awardwinner_pm_subject, which should have a phrase type of "Global". Also add that if missing.

I'd like to share with You a Proposed Solution I made to the Conflict with the Mod "Live Topic - AJAX (https://vborg.vbsupport.ru/showthread.php?t=201697)", that is Not Complete (it has its restrictions), to see if you can Help me/us with a Better Solution to be able to Use Both Mods without Conflicts. ;)

One Possible Solution for Conflict with product "Topic Of The Week_Month Nomination", at least for the Display of Nominated/Winner on the First Post of the Thread, (on all other Posts it won't Display because of the "if" Conditional).

The Conflict with this Product is on the Template "nominate_topic_stamps" that is Triggered by some of the Last Lines of the Plugin "Topic Of The Week_Month Nomination" that uses the Hook "global_setup_complete", lines that will be Commented (to Not be Used) on the Following Solution, and Changed of place to use the Conditional Explained later to Only Use this Template on the First Post of a Thread (whic won't interfere with the Quick Replies).

"Coders Shack" if you can Please Check the mentioned Plugin and the mentioned Template, Analyze the Code, and propose a Better Solution to be able to Not Disable the Code mentioned on the Solution for ALL Posts Except the First One of a Thread, I think many Users will Appreciate that, (I can only offer this Solution with my Limited Knowledge).

Also, if you can Please Confirm me/us if the following Solution Provided won't have any Problems with the Performance of the Display of the Posts, I/we will appreciate it a lot; as you'll see I've changed the Location of that specific Code that causes the Problem to another Plugin where I can use the Conditional to Use it only on the First Post of a Thread, but what I don't know is if that Change can cause Problems on the Performance/Optimization of the Speed and Memory Use of the Displaying of the Posts on the Forum and on the Usage of the DataBase and of the Server. I had to Create that Plugin because on the Original One I received an Error that told me that on that Global Location I wasn't able to use those Variables that can be used without Problems on Hook Locations related with Postbit.

Step 1:

Create New Plugin.

Product: vBulletin
(if you create it on the "Topic Of The Week_Month Nomination" and you Update and overwrite the Product you'll lose this Plugin because it'll be Deleted)
(if you Disable or Uninstall the "Topic Of The Week_Month Nomination" Product you'll have to Disable this Plugin so that it don't cause Problems)

Name/Title: Topic Of The Week_Month Nomination - Live Topic Solution - Postbit_Display_Complete

Hook Place: Postbit_Display_Complete

Execution Order: 5

Notice the "nominate_topic_stamps", it'll Display the "Nominated Topic" or "Winner Topic" Logo and Link that is Created with the Template "nominate_topic_stamps", ONLY ON THE FIRST POST of the Thread, which is the Only One that is not Created via Quick Reply.

If you have Set your Mod Options to Nominate Any Post and Not Only the First One, then, if that Post is Nominated and is not the First One, then it'll Not Display the Top-Right Image that Says (Nominated and/or Winner TOTW TOTM), but the Below Options will Appear without any Problem, (the ones that Allow you to Retire your Nomination and Visit the Hall of Fame and the Nomination Thread).


Step 2:

Commenting the Previous Code Lines on the Plugin "Topic Of The Week_Month Nomination" Hook Location "global_setup_complete", which after the Changes will be like this:

Seems like the Phrase is not Constructed on the Code of the Template/Plugin/File that Sends the PM; could you please point me into the Template or Plugin or File that does this Action? :confused:

Edit: I think the Problem is on the File "nominate_topic_cron", perhaps the part of the Code that Extracts/Generates the {1} and {2} of the Phrase is missing on that Code? :confused:

The code that evaluates the phrases is in nominate_topic_cron as you suspect. Seems like somehow your code sets the title to the PM message instead of the PM title. There is no code to evaluate phrases for the PM subject - it just simply retrieves it. Make sure you have this line of code before $pmdm->save();
$pmdm->set('title', $nt_awardwinner_pm_subject);.
Looks like your problem is that your code might use $nt_awardwinner_pm instead in the above method call.

In regards to this mod's conflict with the Live Topics mod, I can't verify your solution since I don't use Live Topics, but after reading your post, it sounds like a possible solution.
