Andrew, a nother question about the Casino Lottery... my users are getting very frustrated because they are spending hard earned credits (we use vbcredits) on lottery tickets, but they are claiming it is unfair and cheats! To this day, there has been no winners. It is set at 3 tickets, draw 25 on wednesday's. Last night another drawing happened. Of course I am the admin and can't see what happened. I had about 10 people purchase tickets... In my thinking, how on earth does this program NOT have a winner in about 4 months... pulling 25 numbers and no one getting 3 of those numbers. Now the bad part... if you pull up the past drawings, you see 3 numbers... Where is the 25 numbers that it was suppose to pick? Or, does the program pick 3 numbers out of the 25 and the members's ticket has to match that? If that is so... the odds are overwhelming and that needs to be changed or something...

They are also upset that they have to write down their numbers, because the program loses them after the drawing... Since members can vary in how many tickets they purchase, perhaps there could be an option in the lottery to PM yourself the numbers?

Lastly, I am watching the jackpot and it is still not adding properly. Each ticket costs 10 credits... when you purchase a ticket, the jackpot raises only 5. And once again, the jackpot was close to 7K credits, after last night's drawing, the jackpot is now 6.3K.

Hey man,

Got an urgent problem, as the casino is one of the most used mods on my board. I just upgraded to 0.91, and whenever someone bets on any slots game, the reel just keeps going round and round and never stops. All of my users have been experiencing this problem. Are you able to help me out? As I need my casino! LOL. Most users report it using FireFox, but it also happens on Internet Explorer too.

The same with roulette, once I hit spin, the ball just keeps going round and round.

And with black jack, when I hit start game it opens up another browser inside the box, and keeps doing that.

A fair bit of internals changed with .91, chances are something didn't update properly.

Ensure the slots.php and slots_ajax.php overwrote old versions. Same for the main casino.php file. Also check the slots templates, if any of them have been modified that would do it too. If you still have no luck send me a link (the one in your profile doesn't work)

Sounds to me like what you really want is more of a Raffle (which is built into vbcredits).. Raffles have a winner each time. I've had 2 lotto winners since I've first installed, so the system DOES work and it works the way a lotto is supposed to... Look at the American Lotto (Power Ball) ... there isn't a multi million dollar winner every week.... its a rare thing and millions of tickets are sold..

Check your casino settings, you can set the default amount of cash for posting, repping, registering, etc.

If you join a table with some v then lose it all it seems to still deal you in the next hand and kinda hangs with you clicking the 'ready' button forever. i appreciate being able to call on 0 though.

I found I had to click ready, raise or call a couple of times(twice) on occasion - and not just when the browser had lost focus either.

I just tested it and it worked for me, but there are a few things that could block it. To delete a group you need to select which groups you want to delete, and give it the ID of the group you want to move events in that group too:

This is one of the best mods on my board yet, people are sure addicted to this. It gets the competition going between all the members.

Andrew, when will you have the next upgrade with the reset cash and all that completed. I gave up trying to figure that out, could not ever get it going but I get alot of requests to reset cash. About 10 at least per day. I even found some users come on under a different name, lol.

Theres a few requests I would like to add from people that are on my site and play on others:
1. A colum in the bottom like who's on line, who's playing texas holdem and there names
2. An area where members can just go into the game and be a spectator and view and chat only but not play
3. A option for a second game going
4. An option for each game being played for table limits, some guys wish to go all in.
5. An option for a Tourneyment.

These are just a few suggestions that were given to me from fellow members. You should see all the comotion this has brought on the site, theres a thread that just talks about the casino. This is a total hit :D

A "reset cash" will never be part of the main code, I did put up a additional file to do it at vbgaming.org

1) Possibly, a lot of the Texas Hold'em stuff is being rewritten.. well really more of a reorganization / cleanup.

2) They can sort of do that, just don't get to see cards. But if your in and don't hit that ready button ;)

4 / 5) My initial goal was to follow a limit game rules, which only allows bets of equal to, and double the big blind depending on the round. A no limit game is a little more complex, requiring a buy in and cash out, as well as being able to set bets. The big reason for the restructure is so that I can reuse most of the code for other rule variations.

Last night we filled the texas holdem table to 10 players
it seemed like the game had a hard time dealing with the load
it kept booting players out every few seconds and at least 5 times
it booted the whole table. We also had instances of players never

Turn up the delay in the game settings, chances are it's requesting things faster then your server is dishing them up. I am working at optimizing the requests it makes, but 10 players is a fair number of things going on.

Not really, it would require altering the code manually, but if you want to give it a try:

Line 219 in the casino_update.php file, cron folder:


$nextdrawtime = mktime(21,0,0,$month,$day + $daysleft);


The "21" is the hour, so that's the first thing to change.

You also need to change the time the scheduled task goes off to match what you change this too.

I'm new to vb so appreciate your patience. I believe that I've followed the instructions in the readme file for the casino (v.92) installation; however, nothing is showing up in the admincp as it indicates in the readme file.

1. I don't see a "Game Settings", where/when was this added? Was this something that should have been a part of my vb installation, or created when I uploaded the casino games?

2. When I installed, since I wasn't clear on the instructions, I uploaded the files that were in the admincp and includes folder into the admin and includes folder in the vb folder--was this correct, or should I have loaded them elsewhere.

3. The instructions said "import the xml file", so I uploaded it to the casino file. Is this where it was supposed to go?

Again, be gentle, I'm still trying to learn vb, and it's a handful to learn, but the casino games are important for my site, so I wanted to install them for testing.

renwa983, you will notice that, within the upload file, it is structured the same as your files. You will need to upload each file to the file with the same name. To import the xml file, you will need to go into your admincp/Plugins & Products/Manage products/

First I want to say that I'm from Germany, so please excuse me for my bad English.

I tried to install the casino-addon. Everything works fine until I get to the casino.php page.
All user-groups are allowed to use the casino (restrictions will be made later on). But when I want to use it, I just get the error message of vbulletin which you get when you want to post and aren't logged in.

Hi there,

first of all I would like to thank the developer for this great hack, as an Admin of the largest german Casino-Forum this hack is just a must have. Everything works very fine in our testvb directory.

But we also have some wishes, sorry, if there is something any other user has written, but I haven't read the whole 190 pages.

First wish is, that the Roulette and Blackjack game should be 10-player games with a chat-box like Texas Holdem, this assumes a betting time limit, which should be set in the APC. So our users can show their strategies to other users and can explain them. Or we can throw tournaments...

The second is, that in the Roulette game can be a display panel for the last 18 numbers, like it is in any other casino (online and landbased).

Also in the Roulette game, I can set the table maximum. But when I set the maximum to 1.000, this is for every chance and this is wrong. In any casino, if the table maximum is 1.000, this is only for the simple chances, on numbers the maximum is much lower than 1.000, maybe only 100. So there should be the possibility to set the table maximum for every chance.

At least it will be a good idea, when the numbers are not created by the software on the server, it should be created by random.org, if there is a chance to do that.

EDIT: Prob fixed, due to some reason the product didn't import correctly, and the game settings in the admin panel never showed up. Should be looked into. It is as if the product needed to be imported two times.

In the admincp >> games settings, there is a table limit, you can set there how much you want used. By default it is set at 100, that is why you can not choose anything higher than 100. change teh table limit to a higher value and then try,.

You change the ticket price of the Lottery in the AdminCP... the change won't take effect until AFTER the next drawing. There is no limit for number of tickets and I am not sure that was in the plan for a fix.

Upgraded from vb3.7 beta 5 to 3.7 beta 6 and now have javascript error saying program needs ajax to work and javascript isn't recognized when selecting games, and no images appear anywhere. Everything worked fine on vb 3.7 beta 5, no javascript errors and all images appeared.

I don't think I changed anything, except what install said, when I installed originally, so I just made changes when reverted some templates - navbar and postbit templates after update per install text.

Was using .92 version of casino so downloaded it again and have tried reinstalling several times to correct problem. Even tried clearing cache.

Any suggestions as to why I'm now getting an error saying there is an ajax problem and I must have javascript activated when it is activated? Using latest FireFox.

You and they are fortunate. It doesn't matter how long I stay in any section of the Casino mod, no images appear so a game can be played.

I'm testing on a https server setup and after updating to beta 6 I lost ALL images and got the javascript/ajax error I mentioned above when using FF. Re-uploading files made no difference.

Does anyone know if VB made several changes to ajax in beta 6?

I have the Donations turned off in the AdminCP... I tried this and it gave me the "you don't have access" page. I haven't done any further testing. But if what you say is true, just turn off the Donations in the AdminCP and it is fixed!

And there are alot of bugs in ALL mods and programs... but I wouldn't discredit just one mod because of that. however, I wouldn't recommend installing any mod or program on any high traffic site unless it is tested prior...

1. i was playing with someone else - I had a pair and an Ace in my hand - the other person had 2 pairs but i still won :/ other person got angry of course

2. today two other guys were played - both had a pair each - both had 6s - one had a jack and the other had a 6 - the Jack hand should have won but it said both people tied

Internet latency affects these games a lot; I suspect that's why their wheel hasn't stopped spinning. They'll just have to reload the page.

I had no trouble putting in my Inferno Shoutbox, though you guys may want something more when you talk about "integration". As I recall I just stuck the <$shoutbox> line in one of the templates.

No, odds are not something that can be set. Apart from the slots, changing odds would essentially mean rigging the game, which I won't do.

Open the slots.php file. Find (ending on line 85):

I have installed this on 2 forums, one it works fine...the other not.

The problem is when I click on a game the casino.php page just reloads. The url shows /casino.php?do=blackjack but the main .php page just reloads. Any ideas? I have reinstalled everything and checked permissions several times.

Im just upgraded from 3.7RC2 to 3.7RC4 and now have some problems

Blackjack is asking for Java to be turned on when it already is, and the fruitmachine just keeps spinning and spinning.

I know this thread is for 3.7, however it was working fine prior to the upgrade, just wondered if you had any advice at all.

I just installed the "3.6.10" update because of an apparent security issue and now my Casino isn't working.

All slots spin, but never stop.
The other games won't go past the "This game is AJAX powered and requires javascript to be turned on." screen.

Is anyone else having this problem?

Yes we have the same problem on our site after the same update 3.6.10
Roulette have this problem also, the ball is spinning and spinning but never stop.

Hmmm...3.7 users who found the casino was fine up to RC3 but some games stopped working on RC4, oddly, it seems THIS (http://www.vbulletin.com/forum/project.php?issueid=25302) bug *might* help....it's certainly got my games working again, but I'm not sure if my problem was the same as everyone else's.

This won't affect 3.6 though.

You have to add a link to casino.php somewhere on your side by yourself. See the readme to get an idea how to do that...

Hi, ace mod, and the board users love it, well done, However I have had instances reported to me of Video Poker freezing on the 2nd to 3rd go and players losing virtual cash because of it, I had a quick look through this thread and it appears that the problem has happened to others, but I cannot find a solution, am I missing something or has this not yet been resolved? I'd like to add in my voice in that we're finding freezing in general, usually with blackjack. Users are reporting loses upwards of $1000 when this happens.

Is there any fix or suggestion as to the cause of this? It doesn't seem browser specific.

It doesnt seem that anyone knows or even has a clue as to why these type errors and the MANY others errors or problems such as the dreaded "Ajax/Java needed messages" are experiencing. Not impressed by the level of the authors support so far, I can tell ya that. LOTS of folks are having all kinds of issues. What version of VB are you running by chance?

I think its time for me to just un-install this Casino 0.92 and find one that works and is supported when there are issues due to VB upgrades, which is constantly BTW.

Just a thought hear perhaps he is working on it but us all going on isnt going to make him do it any quicker me myself have had ago add this issue and failed so perhaps its not as easy as we would like it to be i will not uninstall the mod i have just turned it off untill a fix is available (hopefully soon) otherwise i will have to look at uninstalling and just telling members the bad news it will be a shame

I know that .92 was working on 3.7 sites before RC4
and it seems now it's not working on 3.6.10 as well so i'm
thinking this is a AJAX request problem because there were
only 5 templates that i found needing security token changes (had method=post in them)
and i have applied those. I also applied the clientscript/vbulletin_global.js fix for RC4
and finally i applied the define('CSRF_PROTECTION', true); to every instance of
define for THIS_SCRIPT in the php files.

I looked at the .72 version that someone posted earlier and really the only major difference
i see is the ajax call right after require_once('./global.php'); in casino.php

I know the casino cash donation feature is working but i would assume it's because
it doesnt use ajax.

Ive created a testvb with 3.6.8 and installed the Casino again, and it is not dropping tables for me anymore? Wierd. So I am testing that extensivly until I am happy to migrate back into the live forum.

I will wait fro Andrew to release a full 3.7 version when 3.7 goes Gold.

At the moment, my view is, if you have a working casino, even an old version, leave it well alone until such a time as Andrew comes back and can help fix the various issues that have cropped up since the new security feature in vB was introduced (3.6.10 onwards).

but VB 3.7 went gold and will fix this problem if you up grade
