Yes, each game has a permissions setting in the game settings. This overrides the default setting, so just put the user group id in there.

That step is outdated, the lottery options are now under "Casino Games" -> "Lottery"

It's a betting module, you give a event a name, set possible outcomes and everyone bets on those outcomes. Once the event has happened you select the winner and it pays out to everyone that bet on that outcome.

The ones that are allowed, it's just a straight overwrite.

You place the Usergroups that you want to allow access. In the Casino Settings there's the global setting which is basically a "Yes" to allow access. In the Game Settings, however, you can override the global setting by indicating which Usergroups you want access for a particular game. Example:

Casino Settings:
2, 5, 6, 7 (This sets "Yes" for all games to Registered, Moderators, Super Moderators and Admins)

Game Settings (for Blackjack):
5, 6 (Only Super Moderators and Admins have access to Black Jack; but all other games 2, 5, 6, 7 will have access to)

Texas hold'em doesn't work for me. keeps saying " This game is AJAX powered and requires javascript to be turned on." but javascript is turned on. Anyone else getting this problem. The other games like blackjack works.

Go to phpymyadmin, remove any tables that start with casino_, then remove the casino_cash field from your user table. Begin install again.

Which archive mod? If there is a conflict I can probably work around it.

And to the original problem, this has also happened to a few people where the files didn't get uploaded properly. Reupload, making sure that the new ones replace the old ones.

Until 3.7 gets out of Beta I'm going to continue working to get this out of Beta on 3.6, once it's done here, and 3.7 is final I'll make any updates that are needed and release a 3.7 version.

Once your tables are removed, you do have to reinstall the product, otherwise you got no tables and get errors...

Nothing built in to do it yet, you can just clear the "casino_bet_stats" table though.

Delete the casino_cash field from the user table manually, as well as any casino_* tables. Then it will reinstall. And after 0.90 hopefully no one will have this problem anymore.

You're getting the error on every page, not just the casino. Something is altering javascript on you.

Even on your main page you get this error:


var vb_disable_ajax = par*eInt("0", 10);


It should say:


var vb_disable_ajax = parseInt("0", 10);


My best guess would be a replacement variable set up? (under styles and templates)

It does look to be something vbulletin is doing to your templates though, the Texas Hold'em game is uneffected, but it's javascript is in a seperate file.

Updates are easy, upload the files overwriting existing ones, then import the product selecting the "allow overwrite" box. that's it. Don't uninstall anything, takes 2 minutes.

I weeded back through a few threads and I don't see any fix for the lottery at all. Can you be more specific, or re-post the fix please...


Also, I had a Sports Bet on the NFL playoffs today... I see that one of the bets, the time was off (not sure how that happened, cause I was VERY careful when I set them up friday). Anyway, I selected to edit the event and when it came to the screen, it filled all 10 of the bet outcomes with the second one... So could you check the edit function again, cause I am not sure it is working properly. I didn't resave it since in fear that I may break things more...

And I hope your next release will give the admin more control over the Sports Bet... like I really need to see how much each winner received... I am the admin, so I don't care to see my own winnings since I don't play. My users are questioning how it is paying out and I can't explain things when I don't know or I can't see who won what...

I had the same problem and also noticed some real short answers when people ask about errors saying "look though the thread dumbass etc" people need to remember the thread is now 170+ pages and search doesn't always help a lot on specific queries. I looked through 20 pages before I finally gave up.

Changes will effect the next draw, but not the existing one. Until it finishes any changes you make won't show in the game.

Reason is, if I buy a ticket with numbers 5, 15, 20 & 25, then you change the draw to select 3 numbers from 1-15, I am left with a ticket that has too many numbers, and numbers outside the range that can be drawn.

Most likely not, pretty sure you didn't edit any .php files either. At least not for this mod ;)

It only applies to the casino templates, so if you modified those to get a different look or something, then they would need reverted otherwise changes from the old version wouldn't get applied, which often breaks the games.

If you just installed and didn't modify anything beyond that, no problems.

Make sure all the files uploaded properly, and that all of the casino_* templates are in there original format.

Did you have to do any file modifications to install vbadvanced?

Most likely not, pretty sure you didn't edit any .php files either. At least not for this mod ;)

It only applies to the casino templates, so if you modified those to get a different look or something, then they would need reverted otherwise changes from the old version wouldn't get applied, which often breaks the games.

If you just installed and didn't modify anything beyond that, no problems.

Andrew, I am not following your advice or post... I upload everything for 9.1 and installed the mod with overwrite... You should have a group of settings in your AdminCP called "casino"--everything will be under that.

Its real easy once you find it.

the donation log is for admins to see which of their members are donating to eachother and how much.

CMPS is a separate modification. Its a content management system for the rest of your site pages to reflect the forum.

Very cool little thing but I do not believe you need it to run Andrew's casino.

The lottery is under "Casino Games" as is the settings for which user groups can add events to the sports betting piece. CMPS has nothing to do with the casino, it's a completely separate hack.

I've installed only the main module, I am assuming that is my mistake, so I've downloaded:

If you are not using CMPS you have no need for any of the CMPS modules.

What's not working with them?

If you've got the lottery setup it will start overnight, or you can run the scheduled task to start it now. For the sportspool do you have any mod usergroups set up for it? If so you should see a "Add event" button at the bottom of the page.

You don't need to download anything apart from the one zip file.

Ensure that all of your casino templates are up to date, if any where altered on a previous version of the casino that could explain it, you need to revert them. Also ensure that all of your files got uploaded properly.

If that doesn't do it I will need to see what is going on to be able to help.

Right re-uploaded all files again, re-imported product, made sure all the chip vaules were enabled in the admincp, but the 250, 500 and the 1000 chip images dont work when clicked on/selected, all the others work.

It will gives you the option in the admincp at the top just after you login, it tells you some templates are out of date or need to be reverted. - This only appears if it needs to, its not there all of the time.

Check your mod usergroup settings, in the "casino games" section of the control panel, make sure you are using the right usergroup ID.

The Sports betting is going to be huge on my board, but I'm getting this complaint a lot.

I only have one complaint (besides the hold'em table bein glitchy, but it is beta afterall)

I'd like to be able to drop in all my bets (sports betting) then hit "place bet" instead of having to hit it after every bet. :(

It took me a while before i found out i had to refresh the left-frame of the admincp. ;)

I needed to set the sports betting groups to be able to set some games to bet on.
I first was under the assumption that the admingroup should have the neccessary rights by default. Maybe this could be documented more clearly?

If you bet - for instance - $20 in Blackjack, you have to move your mousecursor to click twice on the same chip because the phrase "place your bet" dissapears, moving all chips aside.
rather than dissapearing the phrase, just hiding it would be an idea?


I get reports from blackjack taking away money and simply freezing now and then.

I inserted all matches for the european soccer championship into the sports betting,
realizing it became a lot of scrolling afterwards. (24 matches times three possible outcomes: team 1 or 2 wins, and a tie)
I came up with the idea to make a "Future events" group, and by default only fetch events from the database which occur within 21 days from now.
My simple solution: (sportspool.php)(line 339 and up:)

One could bet on future games if one knows the url, but it is less crowdy in the frontend.

I think this was covered several times in this thread too... just weed back a few posts and you'll find your answer... but here is a repeat... Any changes to the Lottery will not get effect until AFTER your next normal drawings. If it is set for the 26th.. check in on the 27th...

Give it until after the next draw, changes never take place right away, but after the current draw finishes.

The Jackpot, which someone else asked about is based off of the odds and the ticket price. It is set up to maintain about 100% payout over time. So everything that goes in eventually comes out.

Well, the restart is a internal failsafe sort of thing, if it's not getting a response it aborts and tries again. If still no response reloads the whole page. I'll try to get over there this weekend and see if I can see anything going wrong. Are you getting any javascript errors?

I get these same issues with the Hold Em.
I dont get Javascript errors that i know of, but everytime i play it kicks refreshing me out randomly.
Sometimes a bunch of times in a one minute span.
Its not because i take too long to bet or anything, im right there in the action and then it just refreshes me out.

The more annoying part is thinking that you missed out in the smack talk going on in the chat :D

Yeah FireBug Goes Nuts With about 20 errors then the page refreshes and there no more errors and things are back to normal

Change the odds of winning and the jackpot will jump up ;)

As I've said, it's calculated out to stay as near to 100% as I could get it. Basically to keep it fair. If you changed the jackpot by hand bringing it up from 2000 to 100,000 without changing the odds the lottery would be paying out 5000%

Put a 5 x 25 draw and you should clear 100,000 at $10 tickets.

As things stand all the games are pretty even, they all sit in the 95-100% payout range.

As I've said, it's calculated out to stay as near to 100% as I could get it. Basically to keep it fair. If you changed the jackpot by hand bringing it up from 2000 to 100,000 without changing the odds the lottery would be paying out 5000%

Put a 5 x 25 draw and you should clear 100,000 at $10 tickets.

As things stand all the games are pretty even, they all sit in the 95-100% payout range.

Well I don't have any plans to for anything on this, but it's easy enough to hard code it in:

Next time the jackpot gets reset (someone wins it or the odds get changed that will kick in. If you want it before then change the draw in the casino_lotto_draw, it will be the last one and the only one that doesn't have a result.

Nothing looked odd, and if it's not on the casino pages I can't see how it would be caused by the casino, you'd have to point it out though as I'm not sure what you are referring too.

I had an idea for the casino, when a member is banned, their casino cash should be stripped from them, and put into a "pot" for the admins to then decide what to do with it, such as split it up, hand it out, etc. I don't like seeing banned members having casino cash. It would be a lot of work to manually remove it from them all, or is there already a setting so banned members can't have casino cash?

Jackpot is cumulative, it only gets reset when it needs too.

At this point, I think the sql option is the best bet, since users have been working on rebuilding their accounts since the switch. If I just switch to the other cash system, members will lose their work one way or the other.

I'm lost when it comes to that though - how would I do it? And which would be the most stable? vbookie > casino, or opposite?

The amount is based on the settings, odds of winning and ticket price. If you change the odds the jackpot changes to reflect that.

ACP->Casino->Games settings->Sportspool

Add the user group ID's you want to be able to add / edit events there, then on the sportspool main page those user groups will have a "add event" link.

The number you are seeing is your cash amount.

I can find my way around phpmyadmin a little, i.e. I know how to run a query in there. And Iit doesn't matter to me whether it gets converted to casino_cash or vbookie_cash, I just want to consolidate the two.

It's a odd little glitch, people coming and going in the middle of hands doesn't always get recorded right in the stats, there are also slight variations from normal due to rounding.
