That is likely lost due to overscan then- in Television the picture usually goes past the visible screen so you never see the edges- the area about 10% in from the edge is considered the "safe" area- you'll never see anything of vital importance (phone numbers, sub titles, etc...) put too close to the edge because they can't be sure every TV will show up to the edge.
Now most TV's I've seen are usually built "smart" enough to know when using a computer input there doesn't need to be overscan at all... I say "most" because my own HDTV is like yours and was not built this way- at full resolution I lose about 10% of my screen on all sides due to overscan. With PowerStrip however I was able to choose a resolution just a little smaller than the native resolution and it fit my TV screen perfectly. But it's been 3 years since I did this so I'm trying to remember my exact steps. Does PowerStrip give you a number of resolution options? I had maybe 3 or 4 options before PowerStrip, after installing I had like 10 choices... one of them worked perfect. |

I'm going out on a limb here but I believe it's your TV model... I run a 40" 1080p via DVI on my primary PC despite having a nvidia 260 gtx becuase my mobo is older w/o the hdmi capability. Now my daughter plays Disney's Pirates Online and I recently snagged a decent emerson 32" 720p off newegg a few weeks back and she loves it! We run it via hdmi from my wifes laptop since it has 4gb of memory otherwise McKinley won't play on her desktop only 1gb lol but long story short, same thing with it and no options in any of the controls or menus to adjust and I resize the window for Pirates so it all fits. I would dare say that's why I paid upwards of $1000 about 2 years back for the 40" and only $200 for the 32", time has passed so they are cheaper but so is what they put inside and how they think ahead. Now I'm no expert on TV's by any means so if you do get something sorted let me know so my daughter can thank you .
