DVI to HDMI help

ok guys today i got a DVI to HDMI cable
i plugged the DVI end into my tower.. i plugged the HDMI into my
DGM 32inch tv

found it on HDMI2 Input.screen comes up fine. only problem is i cant change the resolution just for the TV. its cut half the end off either side and doesnt show the top or the bottom of what would be my desktop showing on the TV

my graphics card is geforce 9500GT

anyone help with this problem?

I have a TV as my second monitor like that. I used the NVIDIA control panel (right click on the background) and under Display => Set up Multiple Displays I chose "Configure independently" or something like that, then I went to Resolution and was able to change them separately.

for some reason i dont have the option to choose "configure independantly" cannot seem to find anything like that in my nvidia panel under multy displays

Hmm...the only thing I can think is to make sure you have the latest NVIDIA stuff (and reboot if you haven't). I don't know, maybe it's something that's only a feature of certain cards.

There is a utility called "PowerStrip" available here:
http://downloads.guru3d.com/PowerStr...nload-169.html

It should allow you to set a custom resolution, one of which should fit nicely on your HDTV. I used this utility several years ago for the same problem, though it has since been updated to work with the latest graphics cards.

Have you checked out "Advanced settings" on your NVIDIA settings, should be a way to enable multi-monitor support...
