I just installed on vB 2.2.9, went great on the first try and we're almost done customizing it to match our forums (OTN (http://overtorqued.net)). I look forward to the next revision.

Is there a collection of additional games that work with this somewhere?

Mine works fine... You may have messed something up during the install.

Futureal; Sounds great, I would love to see that feature added :). And the new expand Arcade games was an excellent idea, when I have an arcade as big as www.kotorpa.com/forum/proarcade.php modifying them can get confusing sometimes :)

Thats weird... Have you installed any new hacks or anything? I have never heard of a hack just ceasing to work suddenly... try repairing the tables.

att the queries has already been processed. all the file modification are already done and all the templates are there. dunno what to do know.

also on antoher note, i have another style, all i have to do it add the templates right?

yeah, firefly has a good hack for that, you can backup to your system all your templates then import them to your new style would take you about 1 min I'm guessing.

Beta 2.1 progress update:

Admin CP optimization and re-coding is 95% complete
Arcade coding is complete
Template fixing/re-coding is up next

An interesting note is that I have removed the need for the code additions to adminfunctions.php, so as part of upgrading from Beta 2 to Beta 2.1, that code can be removed. It is all self-contained in proarcadeadmin.php now. This section of the arcade should be able to be dropped right into vB3 when it is released (with minor effort, I'm sure, but much better than before).

Does it give you an error message or anything like that? It's always worked fine for me when trying to add new games, so unless it's giving you some kind of SQL error there's not much I could do.

Can someone help me? Why doesn't my score get saved? It never forwards me to the Comments Page, this only goes for me, all my other members can Play Fine, their scores get saved... is something wrong with my pc's setting? please help..

I am using PC, Windows 98, IE 6, Macromedia Flash Player 6.

I am using Internet Explorer 6.0, everytime i play a game, when the game is over, i just get forwarded to the main page of the arcade and not the comments page. Everyone else on the forums is doing fine.

sabret00the - Just see what extra fields you have in your arcadegames table, add those to the end of the list of fields it's trying to insert into with that query, and it should fix the problem. ;)

I have heard of this problem before, and unfortunately, I have not been able to duplicate it or figure out why it is happening. I know I have worked with others in the past who had this problem; if any of you are reading this now and have fixed it, let us now!

My suggestions were:

- clear browser cache
- update IE to the latest build
- temporarily set security settings to Low to see if it affects it
- temporarily disable any routing/firewall activity

It's a difficult problem to debug, since without having a misbehaving system right in front of me, I can't figure out how
or why it is happening. In all of my tests, any Windows-based PC with a true version of IE (not an AOL, MSN, hacked version, etc.) have all worked.

This feature is not yet supported in the arcade. Right now, everything goes by server time.

Look for it in a future release.

It is still a beta hack because it's not done yet. While it is perfectly stable and works well, I make no claims to how easy it will be to upgrade to future releases, with game data intact. Of course I will make things as easy as possible, but, as was the case in going from Beta 1 to Beta 2, enough things were changed in the hack that it made an upgrade virtually impossible.

So while the hack works just fine, if you are not willing to work with it a bit, I would suggest waiting until a final version is released.

sometimes when my member's scores are being submitted , it gives them an error and doesn't submit the score. So they have been taking screenshots of their scores right as they finish a game . I can find the 2 places to edit in the mysql to fix their score from a lower scored and recorded game to match the score in the screenshot , but cannot find where to edit it to give them the crown, where is that part located ?

The champion of each game is stored in the arcadegames table, I believe. Look for a field called something like championid...

That would require modifying some of the display code in proarcade.php, along with the related templates. I haven't seen anybody ask to do it before.

At some point in the future, I may include a 1- or 2-per-row display option...

None of my users are web savvy so I don't believe we would have any problems security wise and am willing to sacrifice this to be able to offer all of my users ability to have their scores recorded.

I have a little problem.

When I load a game, the page is loaded, but IE keeps on loading the flash. The game is never loaded, always loading.

Also the games works fine if I just type the url to the SWF in the address bar.

This was confusing me, I tought the script handled the path from the forum directory.

I've set /forum/games/ and everything works fine now.

Part of Beta 2.1 will be an admin option to remove the gamehash security. BUT, I don't think this is what is preventing Mac users from using the arcade... I think the problem is still in the Flash/browser interoperability.

I have yet to get my hands on a Mac to test it out.

I will give you more info as I find it.

How to change the timezone of the arcades please ?

I tried to change
$currenttime = time();

to

$currenttime = time() + 25200;

but then the time of each game for an user get really high in the user's details. (like someone played pong for 1300 minutes instead of 4 minutes)

How exactly do I change the text color of $vpachamptext? I tried adding <font color to the postbit around the $vpachamptext but that did not work. ANy help would be great.

Note: The current color is RED....BLOOD RED!

EDIT: SORRY GUYS. I WAS MAKING THIS WAAAAY TOO HARD. THE CONTROL PANEL ON THIS IS FANTASTIC!!!(Which is where the option was to change the text color).

Something I would like to see if possible in beta 2.1 is a Highest score system, that tracks the highest score for that given month at the end of the month for each game.

Aka

John Deo got 2,399,999 points in tetris for the month of april
Some One got 2,400,000 points for Tetris for the month of may

then have the option to set your score points for all games for the next month to zero.

that way new players and members new to the forums have a chance to set a months' worth of new score records for each game, and still see what hall of fame records are to try and beat.

that make sence?

Also I'd love to add a working addon for the arcade jackpot system, that would work for beta 2.1

I'm going to make a simple php system for the hall of fame, but as I'm newer to php/vb hacking, most scores would have to be added manually to start.

what do you guys think?

futureal, thanks for having it on your list for your next release. I can play the games fine in latest IE and Netscape for Mac's OS X (well, sometimes flash is buggy with netscapes browser, but unrelated to your hack). It's just that same thing...the game ends and it goes to the wrong page...so hopefully removing the game hash security will fix it...crossing fingers.

Ok I saw that Nighteth t'Mare had high scores in like 7 different things...and also noticed that he had these high scores after only playing once AND that his game duration was a very long time compared to others.....so I went to his stats page:

cant wait to use this, i'm in the process of installing it, but when i'm dumping the data into the arcadegames table i come up with an SQL error at Line 1.

Also, i carried on with the installation and took your advice in a previous post to install the games manually through the Admin CP but when i look at the games, its as if they are constantly loading and never seem to appear, the same problem as the people prior to this post.

I'll try and figure it out.

its on a test forum so i set the games folders to

/forumdev/upload/games/
/upload/games/
/games/

neither of those solved the problems.

its games/

take away the starting '/' and it should work depending on what you directory is at.

if it helps, I uploaded game.swg on my server as

forum/games/.swf files
forum/images/graphics/ <-- game icons

then just uploaded all my arcade info in the admin cp, it works perfectly for me... not sure if that helps :P

PS: how goes testing for the next release of beta 2.1? I've been waiting to install it rather then beta 2.0... on my new forum.

installed works perfect - hardest bit was adding all the templates (was very tiring) but besides that it installed perfect.

Now one minor prob and hope someone can help me with this -

grf show for games on main arcade page but over to far right the 2 icons are showing as red x`s and not sure why as they are in same folder as the gfx icons for the flash games so where have i gone wrong.

added pic so give u a better view also crowns dont show ???

Hack is installed perfect - everything works just this dont now

and i am the champion as im the only one who played for testing purpose only so i got all the crowns

The two variables work perfect on me test board but not on main board so any clue what would be stopping it and where about is the code that calls it in then i can re-check the info.

I have done this twice now so i reckon it must be a hack that is interfering with it.

My server is running 5 hours behind actual UK time, so I was wondering if it was easy enough to add a bit of code that simply added 5 hours to the times?

Looking at the code, I see that proarcade.php seems to add a "pre-score" data entry consisting of various things including time().

// insert the pre-game score entry into the table
$score_insert = $DB_site->query("INSERT INTO arcadescores
VALUES (null, '$scoregroup', '$game', '".time()."', 0, '$gamehash', 0, '$userid', '".addslashes($username)."', 0, '')");

and then has a bit that says.

// save the current time and fix username for entry
$currenttime = time();
$username = addslashes($username);

Would it be enough to simply add whatever value 5hours would be, to these two sections of the code or would it be more complex than that?

Can anyone tell me what this error message means?Database error in vBulletin 2.2.4:

mysql error: Got a packet bigger than 'max_allowed_packet'

mysql error number: 1153

I have a feeling it has to do with the username (which in this case is Z'loth - the ' is probably killing it.

I have this correctly installed at WEForums, and the icons work. At another forum I installed it, and the first day everything seemed to work. Then all of the sudden it stopped the next. I've checked the coding and nothing has been altered. I don't know if the owner added anything...I asked and he didn't know. What could be interfering with this part of the code?

when I play pacman, I get asked to login again after I finish the game, once I re-login, my score won't get recorded...I am using VBulletin version 2.3.0

can anyone give potential reasons why?

in my user CP I use cookies and in the admin CP I have the session length as 20000 seconds, so I don't know why I get asked to login so many times anyway....

Saint make sure your games folder link is correct in the settings. i had that problem at first because i had the link pointing to the wrong folder. Example if your games are at localhost/games and the link is pointing to localhost/forums/games it wont work. Good luck.

At one point I thought I had the game icons uploaded but I guess, not. I keep trying to upload the icons via the admin CP and it's not working.

Which is really weird because the other icons work for the crowns.

Any suggestions on this or another way to get the icons to display? It looks bad without them and with these big boxes with the red X's :)

The Champion icon and text need worked on. While it does work for my forums, like I said before, it doesn't at another board.

Coldpride the hack does work fine m8 - is more likely down to user error than anything else.

It seems to be working perfectly. I had one problem, same thing I've read here about the games not ever loading. But the fix is also few pages back in this thread. In the Admin Control Panel, you have to get rid of the first slash ( / ) in the path. Use "games/" ..... not "/games/"

(In our case, I called the directory "arcade" instead of "games" to differentiate this from other game-stuff we're doing.)

The only changes needed for our board is the dark background color has to go -- "secondaltcolor" will look better for us. And the postbit text is too big/red ..... so I'll mess around with that.

Very nice package!! Look forward to the next updates.

There will be a version of vbProArcade for vB3 after vB3 has been officially released.

I don't plan on working with vB3 until it has reached "gold" status. I just don't have the time to continually re-upgrade my forums each time a new version comes out.

Oh hi..... I hadn't seen your reply, futureal.

Yes, that's what I've been doing ever since I installed this beast. I started with the first template and went through them all line by line... changing categoryfontcolors to tableheadtextcolors and normalfonts to smallfonts and..... categorybackcolors to secondaltcolors..... and .... (sigh). That gets old real fast.

I found most everything else I needed in this monster thread. So now, I have three things to ask help with.

1. I can't figure out when/how the vbproarcade_userdetail and vbproarcade_userdetail_gamecell templates are displayed. I've been clicking on everything I see, but I haven't come across that content yet on the screen. (And I'm curious!)

2. I found out how to change the font color on the variables in postbit (using default) in the ACP. But I still want make the font smaller and not bolded. (Have a attached a screenie.)

3. There remains one other bit of text that's defined in your variables ...... well, somewhere. I need to change the font settings there, too. (Will just show you in another attachment.)

Once I get these sorted, I'll see if I can load up more games from your development thread and we'll take our new arcade live.

Everything is working just fine. Thanks, again, for doing the hack.

Joel, talk to whoever runs your server. That's who you get shell access to your server from. If you don't already know your shell access info, then odds are very likely that you don't have permission and you'll have to ask your host to attend to whatever you need done.

I got the other stuff sorted that I'd mentioned in my earlier post, so there's no need for help with that anymore. I hadn't seen anyone use the navBar style definition for a table link before, so that threw me. And I finally got the font change made in the php file. Since we have all these templates, I wasn't expecting that to be there, either.

Now, I'm off to redirect a few links (bottom of score board and top score board). They don't seem to like the thisgame variable.

I've installed a new game from the development thread (picked Simon Says).... so I know how to do that. Looks like the sql queries don't work right, but it's okay if I copy one from the original install and change the specific game parameters before running that manually.

Some of this minor stuff has taken some time for me to sort through (but I learn a lot in the process)..... I'm just glad the hack runs so good. This will really be a spectacular hack once it's finished and ready for full release!!

(BTW...... I made more champion crowns in different colors if anyone wants them. I haven't seen any new ones anywhere, yet. Will upload a zip file HERE (https://vborg.vbsupport.ru/showthread.php?s=&postid=409660#post409660) with them in the game development thread.)

I remember about 6months ago i had a nice arcade running for a client and this was the first beta. So i finally decided to take the move and install this on my live board. Everything appears to be all in order apart from one thing...

The images... Some images load on occasions... some don't... it really appears to be random as to which images load and which images don't. This is very odd. The images are in my imagesfolder which i assume is right? I tried reuploading the php files to no success. I was quite looking forward to using the arcade for donators on my site but now i'll have to delay it a while due to this problem.

Has anyone else experienced this problem and if so is there a possible solution :)?

Hi Mist. The only thing I know is you gotta stay out of the database and leave the scripts alone. This thing works best if you upload everything using the ACP. If you make changes or run queries using phpmyadmin, it starts throwing a fit.

If you ran the install unchanged, it created a directory called forum/games for the swf files and forum/graphics for the images. So that might be causing you trouble if you keep the pics somewhere else.

futureal?? I wouldn't mind now if you never rebuild the templates, but is there any chance you'll be able to come up with that array you mentioned to fix the problem with all these queries. (Please? Someone?)

If I take off the scoring stats and all those little high scoreboards from our main arcade page (as Erwin suggested) ..... then we'll lose 80 percent of what motivates our members to keep playing these silly games. They're a highly competitive bunch -- they want to see who's on top and how much farther they have to go to beat their friends.

I hope we can solve this problem...... so I can install all the games available.

The images are stored in the database as binary MEDUIMBLOB columns.

Thus if your query with the binary string is corrupted, so will your image be.

Like Talisman said, the fix is to edit your games images in the AdminCP. and then add any new games via the AdminCP. The HTML is EXACTLY the same for all of them.

It would be nice for it to just look for the .gif associated with the game name or even number so we didn't have to worry about the uploads not working. It would also probably be better security as well.

It's a weird hack, bharvey. The normal stuff we're used to don't work with this, for some reason. Guess it's because it's still a beta. I imagine futureal will tidy things up in time.

I had the same problems you guys are describing. So I searched the thread and found little scattered comments in here that serve as work-arounds. But they're not easy to find and they're not very thoroughly described. Sounds more like those who posted knew what was going on at the time, but it's not so clear to the rest of us. (At least it made little sense to me, at first.)

There are two things you need to look at:

1. If your situation is like mine..... any time you upload the graphic files to your database yourself, it won't work. Same thing if you run the queries, either using a script or doing it manually. The big globs of gobbledygook (great big columns of binary blob things) in the database come out differently than they do if you upload them using the "add game" or "modify games" options in the ACP.

2. The other thing to check if this isn't working right is the path provided by the hack in the ACP. It's not correct..... you have to delete the first slash. (This is mentioned in passing early on in this thread.)

Sounds like these might be the reasons your graphics aren't getting in there. You can't enter them by query or manually yourself ...... and the bad path in the ACP prevents you from the uploading them the way this hack wants you to do it.

Look at the screenshot I took of this and you'll see what I mean.

Go into the admin CP, choose edit game....then scroll to the game you wanna edit. You'll see the corrupted image, then below that there is a radio button that says something like delete current image? you answer yes, then below that there is a file browser. Select the image file you want to use, hit submit, and it stores it CORRECTLY in the database using the proper BLOB format.

As far as security goes, what's more secure? a file, or a datastream protected via MD5 encryption and pass within MySQL...

Personally, I find that uploading the image into the database is alot easier than having to make sure that my uploads directory is properly CHMODed and that the paths are correct, etc.etc....just put the binary in the database, then pull when needed.

If you've got 23 of them, then you didn't miss any. (We assume the content came out okay so they're all complete.)

I've seen several comments before where a person installed the templates well enough, but they were put under an old/discontinued style. So double-check that if you have a default and custom style[s].

Check to see if the php scripts ended up in the right place. It's easy to put one in the forum directory when it should be in forum/admin.... and so on.

Check to be sure your queries set up the tables correctly. Do you have 5 new tables in your database?

I fixed my problem with the images. If anyone has any HTTP restrictions (including the hack here at vb.org for server flood control) - this is what is causing the images not to work correctly :)

I don't know if anyone ever brought this up or noticed this or if it's just me.

Though from time to time when people go into the arcade, on user locations, it will show them doing whateve they are doing, and it will also show a guest doing the same thing with the same ip.

Is there any fix for this?

Can someone please modify the code to only save the top 100 scores in the scoreboard? Some of my games have like 1000+ scores listed which is unnecessary and a waste of space. I tried modifying it myself but I keep screwing stuff up.

LightBringer - we don't condone the release of any hacks here for vb3 until after the first release candidate.

So i'd expect you have quite a while before you see a re-release of this hack for vb3. Not only the fact you have to wait for vb3 but the depth of code for this hack will make it quite a tough cookie to convert over to vb3 coding standards :)

I played the games on IE5.0 and it saved score, then I re-installed IE6.0 and the game scores weren't being saved again.

accually I've been waiting for vb pro arcade 2.1 to come out before I install the arcade again. My users really loved 2.0 got all of it to work fine for install. Cept the query count was really high after adding lots of games.

make sure the address and the path to the game files is right, sometimes you have to remove the / off the end of the address to the games also.

but its defo a prob with the address or path to the games and thats why there not loading because they can not be found.

Ok firstly there's no need to make so many consecutive posts ;)

To your issue. Remove the first slash before the games path. On a fresh install of this hack it is ' /games/ ' - Change it to ' games/ '

You have the add game feature for adding games into the database. There is another thread in this forum with a list of new games you can add to your arcade :)

ok, im good to go. someone in the vb chat here helped me out, gave me a tip that i havent seen in this thread yet, so here goes.

if, after you've tried and installed everything correctly, and your forum looks all in place, but your games do not load up, then you need to go:

admin cp > vbProArcade/General Options > Path to games

change that from whatever you have it to: admin/games/

access your server, where all this is located at, and move your "games" dir to your "admin" dir.

now go to your forum and refresh, check your games. should work now.

GDH you get that error when you get to the game using your back button on your browser. You didn't have to modify anything. Just refresh instead of using the back button. That's why the message is under every game. =]

I'm guessing that change in your code opened up a security issue for the scores.

I was just messing with the arcade, and saw noticed one of the coolest feature....the personal score display page!

I thought may be this could be a part/extra feature for the hack to show a link to a member's score page in their postbit (or anywhere else). Heres the code

when you install, this is what I use for directory,

Linux system

url/forum/
url/forum/games/
url/forum/images/graphics/

in arcade setting I use games/ (not /games/)

all swf goto games folder, all graphics for games goto
url/forum/images/graphics/

I also made a cleaned up version of all the templates which I posted somewhere around post 75+ I think that and the install script and I get a clean install ever time.

hope that helps anyone having issues with the install.

One suggestion that I have seen in this thread that has not been answered:

How can we change the scoreboard so it only shows the top 20 (or something to that effect). It is a waste of space having each and every single persons score on the scoreboard.

I remember there was work on vbarcade 2.1, all that it needed was some tweaks to the admin panel, has all work stopped on this for vb2.30 users?

Ah, thanks for pointing that out for me. I missed a line in the hack. Right before that line, add:

global $DB_site;

That will fix that error.

On the latest version (B2) of this hack I downloaded today, the error was still there. Seems you forgot to fix it? ;)

I manually entered the global directive on a 2.3.0 board and now online.php works nice ;)

An idea for an addon:

What about a medals-addon for the Arcade?

Ie. creating gold, silver and bronze instead of 1 leader for each game. this way users would retain a "prize" and there would be much competition to obtain/keep the (at least) bronze, for example ;)

one thing I'd like to see is, a hall of fame addon, aka top 5 scores from each game goto a special page for that month. Then at the end of the month you can do a arcade wipe. This would keep the size of your database smaller, and each month players would see who the top player was.

up to now I was thinking of doing this manually but if you could add this to the arcade script it would rock..

I dont want to sound stupid, but we had installed the (Who's Online v0.0.2 Hack) sometime back which overwrites the (online.php) file that needs to be edited for the Arcade Hack. I didn't realize it before I started, but the overwritten (online.php) file does not contain any of the code that needs to be changed or added to complete this Arcade Hack. This file contains very little code at all. So now Im 80% complete with this installation and stuck. Has anyone else had this problem?? And can anyone Help??

If there's a 'case' in your current online.php just add arcade's somewhere there.

Or you could uninstall the hack (or copy the online.php from the original distro file) and reapply arcade first, whos online next.

Areku, Thank you for replying and thats just what I did, I removed the whos online hack for now by reinstalling the original distro file.

But now I seem to have another problem,
I installed the arcade hack in a Test Only vb board I have set up online at my site (with vb's permission) and the hack works perfect. Then I installed this hack on our main vb board using the same files I hacked for the test board along with the same templates I created, but the arcade files seem to be looking for itself in the wrong directories when I try to run it.
My directory structure is like this "/public_html/urbanflows/forums/admin"
(the admin directory is password protected)
I installed the files in the forums and admin directories as required but If I try to run the program from the link on the forums home page it keeps looking in the urbanflows directory for the files. And everything looks normal in the admin cp except that the icons don't show up, and their also looking for themselves in the urbanflows directory too.
If you visit this link you'll see that none of the graphics show up and the links on the page don't know where any of the files are.

But let's come to a strange thing which occured currently. Here is the background:

I installed the hack on my beta forum. It's windows 2000 server with the latest PHP and MySQL db on it. It is a complete replication of my production environment where i run SuSe Linux and the same PHP and MySQL version. The only difference is, that the server is linux and not windows.

Your hack worked fine on the windows server and it was easy to install on the linux server. But i CAN NOT add icons to new games.

So i checked the whole thread here. A lot of bla bla and there was only 1 good answer to this problem. But finally it did NOT help. I tried every path in the generall options. The problem is, that in your hack you store the blob of the graphic in the database.

Right now i used the workaround to dump the corresponding lines from my test environment and import them into the production db. But this was not your intention when you created the hack.

And i checked also safe mode upload for PHP ( as already mentionend in an earlier posting ) and my avatar uploads are working fine in my vbulletin forum.

I also tried to reinstall the hack and start from scratch on both environments. I did the same steps on both servers. Finally it worked as expected on the windows server but it worked NOT on the linux server.

Could you please investigate this problem because there are 5 people in this thread where only 1 guy helped himself by fixing his path problem. So i assume that there are 4 more people here including me waiting for a fix or a solution for this problem.

I'm just about to install this, was wondering when the next update was coming out again ;) for those of us that use vb 2.3.2 and are not planning on a vb3.0 update, it would be kewl to get the up coming features.

If it's just work on admin layout or other I can help if needed :)

WISH LIST:
- Being able to record top 5 scores for month for all games on a sperate page, called Hall of fame, each month's scores would would be archived.

- One that is done, then running wipe scores for the main arcade, to help keep the arcade section of the datebase smaller. And still keep records for members.

- Link had made a jackpot addon, for the store hack, although this hasn't been updated for 2.3.x, I'd love to see something like this again for the store hack.

How it would work in a nut shell is, members win so many points for the store hack, when they get 1st 2nd or 3rd place in the arcade. anyway that doesn't beat the score, points would be allowcated to a pool, or jack pot. till someone got the highest score.. or 1st 2nd or 3rd, people in 2nd and 3rd would get a portion of the jackpot. Also I'd like to see if someone remakes the addon, have support to toggle how many points people get, when they win etc etc.

anyway thats part of my wish list I'd love to see for this hack, I'd do it my self, but still learning, however I can help with templates ;)

Yes I still wanna know why my scores arent being recorded... and a few of my other members too!!!!

Also how do I make it so new games that I added get their scores recorded??????

I am using PC, Windows 98, IE 6, Macromedia Flash Player 6.

I am using Internet Explorer 6.0, everytime i play a game, when the game is over, i just get forwarded to the main page of the arcade and not the comments page. Everyone else on the forums is doing fine.

I have this exact same problem too! I am using windows XP!

You seem to be the only one having this problem, so I don't think it's a bug.

I doubt there will be another release untill vB3.0 goes gold but who knows.

I tried the same things as you did to try to get this to work and alas I have failed. I dunno about you but I'd say this hack needs an overhaul or something before it goes full release!

I'm tryign to install Hexxagon, I uploaded the game, and ran the query, but the game isn't showing up when I click to play the game. The flash box isn't showing up at all. I triple checked filenames, and everything is correct?

I'm on another computer right now that has IE 5 and it worked perfectly. I really do believe its an issue with IE 6.

I think I read in an earlier post that someone was using IE 5, their scores were recording then they upgraded to IE 6 and scores were no longer working

I played the games on IE5.0 and it saved score, then I re-installed IE6.0 and the game scores weren't being saved again.

okay, found a friend running xpsp1 with ie 6.5sp and she can get into the scoreboard just fine. shes got the #1 high score right now as a matter of fact?

i just installed windows longorn beta, and i can work my arcade fine through it, it also uses IE6 sp1 .... odd, it has to be something with our configs, author can you PLEASE look into this? pretty please? =þ

Being the dunce that I am, this is reasonably impressive. i've figured out why the comments aren't being shown on certain forums (was mine included.)

Go into your mysql database (though phpmyadmin or whatever you use) and alter the column in the "arcadescores" and "arcadetopscores" from "COMMENT" to "comment".

So simple, yet it's stopping comments from showing :beard:

Longhorn is exactly what it says - a beta. You can't possibly expect futureal to adapt this hack to a beta which he probably won't be using.

Also please be patient with futureal. He's kindly offered support for this hack and i'm sure he'll try to address all of your issues when he comes back :)

that isnt what i was mentioning, the fact is the hack works PERFECTLY in longhorn which has the same version of IE we are currently using. my point wasnt that he should change the script to work with longhorn, or anything about it, it was in reference to the fact that it isnt an ie problem, its somehow a configuration problem on our pcs
