Glad to see such a this nice plugin exists!

We have a very large vBulletin forum with more than 200,000 registered users and a joomla website with daily 20 contents and 10,000 unique visitors. We want to have single sign on on them but there are lots of duplications. How your plugin handle this problem?

Also, What about usergroup permissions? As you know in Joomle we have editor, author, manager and etc but in vB we've defined lots of custom usergroups with different access level to forums and moderation tools.

Thanks In advance.

I am using vb 4.2.2 and wordpress 4.2..i followed the instructions clearly for the installation but I am getting this, whenever I try to access wordpress admin dashboard:

We are sorry, we are not able to process the operation further. Your account should satisfy the single sign-on requirements. Please contact your administrator to solve this issue.

any fix for it? all vbsso access settings are at default

To resolve this issue please check if user's email and loginname are identical (on both platforms).
But, if the issue persists, please, contact us again.

In case of duplication you might see an error message.

The only case when vBSSO plugin works properly is when UserName=>Email on both platforms. In case when user has not been registered the vBSSO plugin will automatically create new user and the system will work correctly.

Whether you are looking to resolve a synchronization issue our team provides a variety of assisted support services. If you would like to implement this feature, we can discuss it in more detail.

You are right. User Group synchronization is not implemented for Joomla for now. Such feature was implemented only for Wordpress platform. If you would like to implement this feature, we can discuss it in more detail too. You can submit a service request.

If you have additional questions, please feel free to contact our team.

Thank you for using vBSSO,

Yes it was a new wordpress installation with only one demo/wordpress admin account, I just checked it..users are there with ditto same vbullletin names and emails but still we all admins are getting this annoying error:

We are sorry, we are not able to process the operation further. Your account should satisfy the single sign-on requirements. Please contact your administrator to solve this issue.

Edit: This is super weird, it's working in internet explorer but not in firefox and chrome. I deleted all the cookies, history, cache and found that it's only working in internet explorer, in other browsers I am getting the same error which I stated above.

Thanks. I shall do so.

Is it possible to share the user database between two vbulletin boards using this plugin?

Yes you are right. You can share the user database between two vbulletin boards using the vBSSO plugin. But remember please in order to synchronize user database:

- user should log in to the master platform and only after that user will be synchronized automatically on the slave platform.

If you have any further questions or need further assistance, please let us know!

I uploaded the files for VBSSO to my vbulletin install, and when I go to install the xml, I get the following: 'The following PHP extensions are required to be installed zip before installing or upgrading this product!'

I went and checked my PHP config, and there isn't an option for 'zip' in there anywhere. Have you any thoughts on what might be happening here?

Please, contact your hosting provider and ask them to install "ZIP" extension (http://php.net/manual/en/book.zip.php).
The issue should not persist any longer.

Hi, I am using this to bridge vb/wp, I noticed in the release notes it says:

Custom vBulletin login page
Custom vBulletin registration page

I am wondering how I can achieve this I can't see anything in the documentation?

Also, is it possible to pull over the vbulletin members user ID to WP?

Thanks

1. Usually vBulletin login page is homepage of forum. You can change it if you have some custom page in AdminCP ->vBSSO -> Link Custom Pages
2. Yes, we transfer user ID when authorize, but we don't use it. Could you name please the reason why do you want to pull over the user ID to WP?

Is it not possible to login via wp-login.php ? Should all logins be done from the forum?

I have an issue when logging in via forum, user is successfully logged in, but then the error is:

Is it not possible to login via wp-login.php ?
If you login via wp-login.php, you will login only in Wordpress in a way that bypasses vBSSO
Should all logins be done from the forum?
All logins should be done through the Forum or Wordpress widget "vBSSO Login Form"

Hello,

I'm having a problem with vbsso. I installed everything correctly and connected the platform to my Wordpress site.

There seems to be a problem logging in though. It freezes during log-in and when I click 'Click here if your browser does not automatically redirect you' it says: We are sorry, we are not able to process the operation further. Your account should satisfy the single sign-on requirements. Please contact your administrator to solve this issue.

Then I refresh and I'm logged into vBulletin, but not Wordpress.

Any tips?

This message appears during log in - if user has different email addresses on vBulletin and Wordpress platforms. If they are not identical it may cause problems.

Please check email addresses of user which is trying to log in. Make them identical and the issue should not persist any longer. But, if the issue persists, please, contact us again.

We have a filehosting script from another vendor, wondering if you can make vbsso work with it so that we can sync members login data from vbulletin and utilize the same for the filehosting script authentication and so on.

Hi xeagle,
odd problem started occurring recently for all users (mediawiki bridge)... no one can log into the wiki anymore.
the only potential reason is php upgrade to php 5.6.11. i am running the latest version of vbsso.
(nothing changed in the settings, so not sure why this started)..

see log below:

Sun Aug 2 08:57:57 2015,035 [16688] DEBUG localFileLogger - Communication: Platform returned http status code: 200
Sun Aug 2 08:57:57 2015,035 [16688] DEBUG localFileLogger - Communication: Platform returned error:

'product' => 9,
'version' => '1.24.2',
'plugin_version' => '1.0.2',
'error' => 'Wrong Shared Password',
)

Update 1: Downgraded to php 5.5, and its working again. so looks like a php version issue...

ps: still hoping for mediawiki 1.25 support....

I have gotten vBSSO installed and connected on my VB and Wordpress installations. I am now assigning roles in Wordpress for levels.

However, we have levels in VB for 'Guest', 'Banned' and 'Double Secret Probation' (this last is a restricted access level when a poster has broken forum rules but is not banned), and 'Moderated Users' (cannot post for a time).

In looking at the Wordpress settings, the lowest setting is 'Subscriber'. How can I indicate banned or restricted users? I do not want banned users able to post in my Wordpress install.

Please advise, and thanks! This has been really easy to install and connect.

Thanks,

Vicky Rowe

Certainly, you can do it on vBSSO vBulletin->`Access Settings` Page:
- Allowed User Groups: means groups id that will have permission to be authenticated in all platforms via vBSSO. Those users who are not in this groups will be authenticated ONLY in vBulletin but not in connected platforms.
- Allowed platform_name User Groups: means groups id that will have permission to be authenticated in platform_name platform. You can ignore this option, in case you are already inserted groups id in `Allowed User Groups` option. But if you will have two platforms you can separately set up groups id for the each connected platform.
- Associated platform_name User Groups: means that those users who had registered or logged in from connected platform site will be added to those user groups.

For example: connect vBSSO WordPress and vBSSO Joomla to vBSSO vBulletin.
Fill in these fields:
Allowed User Groups: 1,2,3,4.
Allowed WordPress User Groups: 1,2.
Allowed Joomla User Groups: 3,4.
This will mean that all 4 groups will have a permission to be authenticated in all platforms, but the first and the second - only in WordPress, the third and the fourth - only in Joomla.

And, Login Access Settings: points the platform on which user will be authenticated (depends on the platform on which the login event is invoked).

Thanks for your time on this, something is not quite right with something..

The only way to disconnect the platforms even after removing the connection in vb is to delete the database and reinstall..

Once reinstall has completed i follow your instruction.. i know the passwords are ok as the connection between the software fails if thats incorrect..

Once i disconnect and clear the cache on my PC i have the same problems again.

Unfortunately, we cannot guarantee a proper vBSSO activity with 5.6 php for Mediawiki. You should do an downgrade to the previous php version (please review additional information at http://vbsso.com/getting-started/vbs...ted-platforms/)

I've got a problem with VBSSO's Wordpress plugin: it never displays the avatars and if I go to the link http://mysite.com/vb/vbsso/vbsso.php?a=act&do=avatar&id=5632275d0e7b409a5725540cc9e3c7c77 I get a 303 See Other error.

How to fix this?

Could you please contact support team http://vbsso.com/report-an-issue/ describing the steps you use to reproduce the issue. It will considerably accelerate the detection of the problem.

I have used your 'report an error' page 3 times now, and each time it says 'thank you' and I never get a confirmation or response. It is not going to spam, and the email is correct. I don't know if your email is having issues or not.

So I will also post here:

I have noticed some problems in Wordpress, and also on my server since I installed VBSSO on my site at http://www.gotmead.com.

1) When the log in widget is placed in the right column it show up on top of the search function in the column, I am guessing there is some HTML issues in the login box, all my other widgets have no problems.
2) when I log out of Wordpress, it still shows me logged in.
3) I am currently getting many 'too many connections' errors from my server, and I have increased connections by a large number. I did not have this issue before installing VBSSO. Is there a fix for this?

Apparently, your server problems may depend on how your web server or extension are set up.

We hope that this has not caused you any inconvenience and contact you if we need more information.

Great mod!

Have had this running for a week on www.tooraktimes.com.au and www.tagg.com.au and it works great for members who log onto TT (vB4) first, they automatically sign in,sign up to TAGG (WP) site.

Does it also work the other way around or do I have to use the WP plugin to achieve that?

Thank you for your feedback!

After you have connected the WP and vBulletin platforms together your users will be able to sign in and sign out automatically for both platforms. But, it works only in case of registering on vBulletin side for now.

That`s why you should use the vBSSO Login form widget on your home WP page. vBSSO Login widget allows you to register a new user through vBulletin platform (this widget is obligatory for proper plugin functionality). vBSSO Login widget will redirect you on vBulletin (or Master platform). Right after registration through this widget you will get a simultaneous account for vBulletin and WordPress and this user will be able to have an access for both platforms (Master and Slave) automatically.

This will not synchronize already registered WP users.
But if you want our team can help you to implement this feature (for additional charge).

If you have additional questions, please feel free to contact our team.

Ever since installing VBSSO, I'm getting a lot of 'too many connections' errors. I increased my max_connections variable, and kept increasing it to 2000 connections, which is extremely high. And I am still getting these errors.

Is VBSSO leaving connections open, or somehow opening a large amount?

I'm getting dozens of these errors daily, and am getting really worried.

I have not gotten any updates on these support requests in email. Could you please let me know the status of my issues?

I'm particularly interested in the impact on VBulletin. I am getting *many* 'too many connections' errors, and my max connections in PHP is set to 2000. This is very high, and it should not be returning these errors all the time.

Please advise,

Please advise,

vBSSO does not work with the connections. vBSSO works only with the core of the Bulletin. To resolve the issue with the new connections you should check out the code in those connections and only after that it will be possible to see the real cause of the issue.

I am going to deactivate vbsso, to see if the connections errors stop. I do know that I am getting regular errors from vbsso in VB stating registration errors are occurring, and that happens when the connection errors happen.

I have created a support user with admin access in vbulletin. This is for a programmer who will be working on code in my wordpress installation.

I can log in as this user in VB, but when I attempt to go to my wordpress installations' admin back end, the vbulletin 'we are logging you in' screen pops up, and I am taken to the vbulletin main forum screen. No matter what I do, it does this and will not let me access the back end of my wordpress install to work on it.

I have looked through all the vbsso settings, and do not see anyplace that I can set to make wp admin login access the correct area.

I have turned off VBSSO, and since then, have not gotten a single 'too many connections' error. When it was activated, I was getting 50-60 connection errors daily. It may only access the core, but it is creating enough connections to cause this error, and I have a high level of connections allowed set.

I really want to use VBSSO, and would have no problem paying for a 'pro' version. It would first have to work, though. Right now, it causes my site to generate errors and keeps me and other authorized users from logging into the admin of the Wordpress site.

I am uninstalling until there is a working version.

Just an update. Sorry for the delay, it has been busy and no time to post.

I turned off VBSSO to determine what (if any) effect VBSSO might be having on my 'too many connections' errors. Turning it off reduced these errors by about 30%. But I still got some errors, starting an hour or so after my previous post. I went in and re-updated all my mods to VB, and determined that Tapatalk was what appeared to be causing the errors. I updated that several hours ago, and have not gotten an error since.

However, I am still having issues re my tickets you have for me with log ins not showing as logged in on both VB and Wordpress, which causes my users to send me email when they cannot access their member information. I know you have a high level of tickets, but I was hoping that after 3 weeks I might hear something regarding the problem.

I would also like to know if you are aware if there are any issues with VBSSO running on a Wordpress site using Amember membership software, which also has a VB connection to offer membership features on the forum as well.

Thanks for any updates.

I have turned off VBSSO, and since then, have not gotten a single 'too many connections' error.

Started to experience the same errors when vBSSO is activated.

One of the issues is definitely extremely slow SQL query for displaying avatars (avatar.php) using the URL /vbsso/vbsso.php?a=act&do=avatar&id=...

$query = "SELECT userfield.*, usertextfield.*, user.*, usergroup.genericpermissions, UNIX_TIMESTAMP(passworddate) AS passworddate,
IF(displaygroupid=0, user.usergroupid, displaygroupid) AS displaygroupid" .
vbsso_iif($settings['avatarenabled'], ', avatar.avatarpath, NOT ISNULL(customavatar.userid) AS hascustomavatar,
customavatar.dateline AS avatardateline, customavatar.width AS avwidth, customavatar.height AS avheight,
customavatar.height_thumb AS avheight_thumb, customavatar.width_thumb AS avwidth_thumb, customavatar.filedata_thumb') .
" FROM " . TABLE_PREFIX . "user AS user
LEFT JOIN " . TABLE_PREFIX . "userfield AS userfield ON (user.userid = userfield.userid)
LEFT JOIN " . TABLE_PREFIX . "usergroup AS usergroup ON (usergroup.usergroupid = user.usergroupid)
LEFT JOIN " . TABLE_PREFIX . "usertextfield AS usertextfield ON (usertextfield.userid = user.userid) " .
vbsso_iif($settings['avatarenabled'], "LEFT JOIN " . TABLE_PREFIX . "avatar AS avatar ON (avatar.avatarid = user.avatarid)
LEFT JOIN " . TABLE_PREFIX . "customavatar AS customavatar ON (customavatar.userid = user.userid) ") .
"WHERE MD5(LOWER(user.email)) LIKE '{$escapedHash}' LIMIT 1";

$user = $mysqli->query($query);

Probably there are some other slow SQL queries causing this error.

Is it possible to use vBSSO to login with vB 3.8 credentials to an external PHP page on a different domain (but the same server)? I need my users to be able to login at passporter.com and stay logged in, even though my forum is at passporterboards.com/forum. The external PHP pages are simple pages I've coded. Starting to wonder if it's worth the trouble. The mediawiki version supported is too old, and mediawiki is a software that is frequently updated. Maybe you can not keep up and I respect that since it's a free product, but if you are entirely honest, should mediawiki users use this product?

Could you please contact support team http://vbsso.com/report-an-issue/ describing the steps you use to reproduce your case on your website. Our team will do our best to help you.

I suspect your plugin is not compatible with latest versions of php5 on debian repository. :/

Please review the list of supported PHP versions on the next page: http://www.vbsso.com/getting-started/vbsso-connect-1-x-supported-platforms/. Could you please name the platform which you are using?

No plan to update your product for php 5.6 in a near future ?
php 5.3 and 5.4 are end of life, they're not valid for production, and therefore, so is your mediawiki product
http://php.net/eol.php

Yes, we do have such plans for Mediawiki.

Also sorry to put this bluntly but I think you should put a disclaimer here stating that only the wordpress module is valid for production and the rest isn't. I feel like I've wasted a lot of time unnecessarily. :(

We can assure you that the information given on vBSSO site is true and correct.

I have an issue after installing this. I'm running vBulletin 4.2.3 & Wordpress. I can login to vBulletin fine but it will not login me into Wordpress at all. It says its logging me in and shows the vBulletin login page and then when it redirects me back to Wordpress I'm not logged in. Likewise in order to logout of Wordpress I had to actually clear my browser cache, cookies, login etc just to get it to allow me to login as another account. So I cannot login and/or logout of Wordpress at all with this installed. This is super crucial to my site working and running.

Errr EDIT: I also get this error message in vBulletin apparently:

We are sorry, we are not able to process the operation further. Your account should satisfy the single sign-on requirements. Please contact your administrator to solve this issue.

And I cannot seem to sign into vBulletin fully either.....*SIGH*

Yeah, nope none of that worked. I even added the www thing as suggested above to no avail. I keep getting errors and the plugin is useless. I've tried and tried and tried to get my issues resolved. Quite frankly right now I'm pretty well upset as I've been constantly ignored even though I have sent the information asked of me in a PM. I've sent two other PM's with no answer whatsoever asking if they had gotten the email that I sent. I STILL have not had an answer from an email when I submitted a request for support over 2 weeks ago! If there is a paid version I urge others to refrain from purchasing it because if the support is anything like the support for the free version it certainly is NOT worth the money! Very disappointed, I guess I'll have to uninstall this and try something else. I hear there are Wordpress bridges on Code Canyon.

Hi

First of all many thanks to the developers for coming out with this awesome add on!

I am using VBSSO to sync my Vbulletin 4.2.2 with WP 4.5.3. Everything works as expected, I am able to login normally via the vbulletin login page, however, I am not able to login via the WP login page. I get the error - User or password incorrect!

I have tried to look around, but not found a solution to this.

Hello, Priyanka!
Thank you for being our valued vBSSO customer.

To resolve this issue you should add "vBSSO Login Form" widget for your WP site.

To do it you please do next steps:
- Install vBSSO on both Master and Slave platforms (in your case these are vBulletin and WordPress platforms);
- Add the vBSSO Login widget (obligatory for plugin functionality - this widget will be available in WordPress widgets list right after vBSSO plugin installation);
- Connect WP to vBulletin (right after that you will be able to see the vBSSO Login Form on the WordPress side).
- Press `Create your account` link on the the vBSSO Login Form on WordPress and it will redirect you directly to vBulletin registration page (when you press this link it redirects you to vBulletin and creates an account there. Then vBSSO passes the user data to Wordpress and the user will be created there respectively).

After registration you will be able to log in automatically on both platforms.
Please, find details here - http://www.vbsso.com/2015/09/how-to-connect-a-platform-to-vbulletin.

If you have any further questions or need further assistance, please let us know!
Thanks for using vBSSO!

Any plans to support vB5 soon? They recently added plugin hook system which should make it easier for making plugins on the platform.

Although we are still using vB4, we switched to vBLink a while ago and pretty much satisfied. They list vB5 as a supported version. Maybe you consider it as an alternative.

Thank you,

Thanks, Sorry for the late reply as I've just been able to get back to this today. I tried reinstating vBSSO and logging in using my personal admin account and everything worked just fine. So I'm at a loss as to what the heck had happened before. :( I'm guessing that possibly it had to do with the client changing his email in the middle of everything which I did not find out right away.

The only issue I seem to have now if when I clicked on the link to download the log file I got a nice pretty white page inside my vBulletin frame in the admin panel. Not sure what happened with that at all. Possibly it has to do with the PHP zip installation?

Thanks guys for being patient with me to get this thing resolved.

EDIT: I had it set up to send the log to my email account. Maybe its supposed to do that and not give you an actual file to download? If so, there were errors where do I need to send that please?

Hi,

I've recently been having a problem with vbsso, using vBulletin and Wordpress. Basically people are getting stuck in loops. If you load up the homepage, which is Wordpress you're logged out, so you click login and it takes you to the forum as it should where you're already logged in so it doesn't try to log you in to WP. This means people can't login to WP at all as VB thinks you're already logged in.

Weirdly I found that going to the dashboard by manually typing the url forces another login through vBulletin. Equally so does going into the admincp on the forum. But that's not an option for my members as they're not admins.

If you've got any ideas, I would be grateful for the help,

Thanks

I have a question about your software. I have members who have registered on both my joomla and vbulletin platforms. When I had Joomla 2.5 I used another bridge and it duplicated these users across platforms. Since then lots of people have created new userids on VBulletin and Joomla. But I only have member input on VBulletin. Should I just delete all my Joomla users (except admins) before installing you product? Hope this is not confusing.
Thank you.

It is not mandatory to delete users before installing the vBSSO product. But note, please, vBSSO works only for registered user on both - MASTER and SLAVE platforms (in your case, JOOMLA and VB).

Thank you very much for your reply.

How does your SSO handle duplicate userids? For example, if someone logs in through the SSO using their VBulletin username and the exact same username already exists in Joomla, but it is not them, does the SSO MASTER sync the Joomla password to match with the Vbulletin username's password so there is just one userid across both platforms or does the SSO just ignore the existing Joomla userid and create a new Joomla userid with the same name using the VBulletin password?

Yes, the vBSSO ignores the existing Joomla user id; when you press the Joomla registration link it redirects you to vBulletin and creates an account there. Then vBSSO passes the user data to Joomla after that the user will be created there accordingly.

any update on making vbsso/mediawiki compatible with PHP 5.6 ? php 5.5 is End of Life, and the mediawiki bridge has not seen a update in 2 years (and does NOT support php 5.6) on your site.

i am unable to update the server as it breaks the link...

Great. Sooner would of course be better. You probably should work on php 7 directly, as that is the active version now.

You have made a great mod, want it to remain relevant.

BTW, the current version (Mediawiki connector 1.0.2) does work with mediawiki release 1.28 (still on php5.5 though).

The only issue to fix then is to make it php7 compliant (VB4.2.5 should be out soon, and it supports php7).

Thank you,

Hopefully whatever you come up with will be backward compatible for PHP. We're on an older version of PHP 5.x because of our Linux hosting at Godaddy. That won't change until very end of 2017 when we can finally move to Windows Cpanel.

Meanwhile, a fix would be super awesome for the httpS issue we have. We had to add SSL to our site at end of December 2016 changing us to httpS links. vBSSO connection between vBulletin and Wordpress still http without S. No fix. Some users have been persistent and patient enough to clear temporary files, reset cookies, create new links, and obtain times change browsers to get it to work again but others have not had that same patience or luck and are unable to access links in Wordpress.

Not relevant. Reply back to ticket #3799 on 1/11 was that was on your internal tracker system to do a review and hopefully a fix in the next release.

URL of the Platform Address in vBulletin is httpS. I'm near certain the problem is that URL of Platform Address in Wordpress side is http, missing the S. Disabling and reconnecting the plugin didn't fix it.

Hi,
We are running vBSSO 1.5.1 on VBulletin 4.2.3 Patch Level 1
It is connecting with WordPress 4.7.5

There seems to be constant problems for our members logging in to the WordPress side of the site.

We use Memberpress to control content depending on membership levels and this just doesn't work consistently.

Any help or advice you can possibly offer would be most appreciated.
Thanks,

Thank you for reaching out.

Please use Allowed User Groups vBSSO option: here you can specify group id that will have the permission to be authenticated via vBSSO connection. Those users group id who are not specified in Allowed User Groups will be authenticated ONLY in vBulletin but not in the connected platforms.

For example:
1. Connect vBSSO WordPress, vBSSO Joomla and vBSSO vBulletin.
2. Fill in these fields:

- Allowed User Groups: 1,2,3,4.
- Allowed WordPress User Groups: 1,2.
- Allowed Joomla User Groups: 3,4.

This will mean that all 4 groups will have a permission to be authenticated in all platforms, but the first and the second - only in WordPress, the third and the fourth - only in Joomla.

It seems you are using 7.1 PHP version - this version is currently unsupported yet (supported PHP versions -> 5.3, 5.4, 5.5, 5.6, 7.0).

The following code worked in PHP 7, but will emit compilation error in PHP 7.1

function foo($this) { // Fatal error: Cannot use $this as parameter}...

Hi xeagle,

I have the latest Wordpress used for main page and cms and Vbulletin 3.8.10 for forums & classifieds.

In vbulletin I have 150K members
In Wordpress I have 3000 members, some of these are from previously used vb wp bridge.

Mission:

Thank you for reaching out.

Please find vBSSO vBulletin details here (https://www.vbsso.com/product-vbsso-connect-vbulletin-1-x/) and PHP error details here (https://wiki.php.net/rfc/this_var).

Thank you,

Done, thank you. I have successfully installed on the new 7.0 version of XAMPP.
However now I am getting the message
Unable to verify platform [http://localhost/xxxx/index.php?option=com_vbsso] Please analyze log files located at `D:\XAMPP70\htdocs\xxxx\forums\vbsso\logs\` to detect the cause of the issue.

Error message:
product: 5
version: 3.8.1
plugin_version: 1.0.3
error: Wrong Shared Password
I have tried https and non https. Changed the keys, but still the same error in the log file.
Wed Nov 22 09:11:13 2017,765 [13248] ERROR localFileLogger - Communication: Platform returned error: Wrong Shared Password
I have searched the comments for a similar error and found you responded to someone else with the same problem. So I enabled DEBUG to get the full error message. Let me know if I should PM it to you or if you have a fix already.
Cheers.

On the slave side, is there a way to remove the option to logout (and the heading) once you are logged in? Reason is, I use 2 login systems and would like them to use the other system to log out.

PS I managed to fix the above error :)

Thank you for reaching out and for updates.

Could you please give more details on your request - remove the option to logout (and the heading) - do you mean to remove user name from the heading?

We are waiting for your feedback.
Thank you,

hi xeagle,

first, thanks for updating to support php7.

second, now that vb4.2.5 is EOL, any sense of timing of making vbsso working with vb 5? this is the only reason i am not moving to vb 5.

Xeagle - Any idea on what is causing this? Still working on it myself but I installed it fine and everything on my local and now I am trying to put it on my live server and am getting this when I try to activate it in WordPress:

Fatal error: Call to undefined method Composer\Autoload\ClassLoader::setApcuPrefix() in ......./public_html/wp/wp-content/plugins/vbsso-lite/vendor/composer/autoload_real.php on line 39

I have installed the plugin on both sides and it looks to be working like expected. The only problem comes when I try to log into the Wordpress backend. It just takes me back to the forums. The Wordpress admin user is not a user on the forums. Help.

Thank you for reaching out.

We would like to recommend you to sync your admin user with vBulletin - you can add it manually via vBulletin Admin CP:

- all "old" WordPress users (registered before connecting vBSSO) should be sync with vBulletin users as vBulletin acts as a Master.

Otherwise you will be not able to log into the Wordpress backend (vBSSO works only for users registered on both platforms - WordPress and vBulletin).

Also please check out if the vBSSO widget was added on your WordPress site

- this will allow your new users to be redirected to vBulletin`s registration page and pass the registration
- vBSSO will add newly registered user to WordPress automatically

In case additional help please contact our support team to submit a support ticket (https://www.vbsso.com/submit-a-request/) and we will do our best to help you.

Thank you for your feedback.
We are pleased to hear that you are interested in our product.

Unfortunately, vBSSO is currently not compatible with vBulletin 5.x.

If you depend on vBulletin 5 version, we can propose our help in its support - we can adopt vBSSO with vBulletin 5 (this feature will be not free). Please inform us if you are interested and we will discuss it in more details.

If you have additional questions, please feel free to contact our team.

It seems the error is related with composer version used in vBSSO-lite. To investigate the issue more deeply could you please contact our support team to submit a support ticket (http://vbsso.com/). We will do our best to help you (please indicate your WordPress, vBSSO-lite and PHP versions).

Thanks, I still had issues when I added the admin user through vbulletin, but I found a way around it.

I installed the widget and it looks really strange on the site. I opened up a trouble ticket for that one.

Thanks for the quick reply.

So what is the best setup for this to start out without causing issues?

I have some accounts in WP that were transferred in via aMember but some are not. I have tried logging in via a test account and takes me to vB and shows successful login, takes me back to WP and I am not logged in. The test account is not an account on WP already.

What is the best way to go about fixing this?

I have disabled vbsso because i have installed vb5.4
Now i have the problem of access to wordpress accounts

If re-enabled the plugin to remove the configurations I get this error:

Fatal error: Call to undefined method Composer\Autoload\ClassLoader::setApcuPrefix() in /web/wp-content/plugins/vbsso/vendor/composer/autoload_real.php on line 39

How can I re-enable the plugin or completely uninstall the fields in the db?

How vBSSO works?

vBSSO allows to sign in many connected platforms using your vBulletin account, for example, TEST USER. It means TEST USER should exist on vBulletin side. Connect vBSSO. Login as a TEST USER - vBSSO will create TEST USER on WordPress automatically.

Regarding your login issue - it seems you have not added vBSSO widget on your WordPress site. Could you please check this out? This widget is required (WordPress > Appearance > Widgets > add vBSSO Login widget to you widget area):

- it will redirect your users to vBulletin`s registration page and let them pass the registration on vBulletin
- vBSSO will add newly registered user to WordPress automatically
