I love this mod, however could we somehow have it pm ticket owners any new changes to the ticket? OR add a notification like a new PM or something similar? This would be great, thanks.

Installed but wanted to request some feature of the next release.

When member A posts a open ticket then the member or member group who has rights to close the ticket should have other options except for just close, example of other feature would be like In Review, Declined, Approved with option to close ticket once appoved, when the approver changes the status of this ticket then the original poster of the ticket should get an email and or PM with the new ticket status so that way he can be in the loop of what the ticket status is.

I have updated the download, it will fix the issue with the Standard Editor, it has improved functionality for both Editors and it also fixes the version error issue.

To my knowledge, we are using the default vB CSS.

Can you provide a link to your site or some screenshots of the problem areas.

I have updated HelpCenter today, but when anyone post a new ticket or add a reply, I have a blank page, but the the ticket or the reply is added.

I have checked the templates and a few things are not calling the default vBulletin CSS, a custom template I had a while ago but no longer have, because I use the default vBulletin style on my site it hasnt made too much difference.

I will go through each template and revert to default vBulletin CSS values.

I downloaded this this morning, had it installed, and thought the very same thing to myself. This isn't something that's needed in a "paid" version, this is something that's needed in a "released" version, something public.

So, I made the necessary changes, and being the generous guy I am (heh), here's (https://vborg.vbsupport.ru/showthread.php?t=181057) the addon.

The addon will only work with the current version of helpcenter, because it actually requires the helpcenter.php file to be replaced. Code is commented as well as could be expected.

Nice hack! We were thinking of including it in the lite version, however, the lite version was only ever made to show the "main" functions of HelpCenter. Also, in the foreseeable future, we are looking at adding hooks ect.

Note: We cannot support nor be held responsible for problems that may arise when installing hacks. You will need to ask the hack author. :)

How can I add reCaptcha to all guest / unreged users to access helpcenter when they submit a ticket?

I had over 150+ spam help tickets this morning by unreged / guest Users.

Image verification is being built into the paid version. Whether we will include reCaptcha in the first ever PRO version release I don't know. At the moment, I'm undecided as to they way were implementing the image verification.

Yes.

Usergroups --> Usergroup Manager --> Edit Usergroup (Unregistered / Not Logged In) --> HelpCenter Permissions --> Can View HelpCenter

yes, there is in the usergroup settings. I already removed Guest / Non Reg user access.

However the whole point for my site to have this helpcenter is for board members having log-in or registration problems, ect...

is there no way to just have it usr vBulletins Guest user built in verification settings?

it is built in to have guests do the human verifcation before allowing posts or votes ect...

on my board it does use Recapcha...

I was using E-Ticket (non vB related free support ticket software) but with some more work, this would do the trick.

where is the list of PRO features?

Yes, it can use your current vB verification. However, if you wanted to do this now, then it would require a lot of code change.

You will see extra_options -- that is where most of our options are going, as you can see, I just finished doing the attachments, still more work to do. Also, we are going for better integration - such as using your vB postbit in tickets.

Hi, i did a install on our test board and everything works really fine, great mod :up:

As we run a german board, i translated all the front end phrases but i can't find the phrases for priority (low, medium, high) and public/private.

If you build in an image verification for unregistered users we will use this mod as a replacement for our contact form. So it ist very easy for my mods to reply to users and unregistered guests.

It would be nice if unregistered users are forced to leave a reply email adress.

Is it possible to notify registered users if they get a response to their ticket ?

Notifications via email and private message on being incorporated into the paid version. For the priority system, you will need to edit the helpcenter.php file, and find the // Priority Code

It would be nice if unregistered users are forced to leave a reply email adress.

Hi, looks like a great mod, i wondered if you could tell me, as you know users often ask the same questions over & over, if a user searched my forums without finding the 'help center' could this mod also show help-center public tickets which included the search terms, or perhaps in reverse... i.e help center searches show relevant search tags and or FAQ items :)

Wow great, that's fixing the problem I think. Am getting an error in AdminCP though when trying to view "Department Manager":

Could not find phrase 'helpcenter_no_department'.

Can you help fix that as well? :)

I cannot use this. I installed it, and I installed the product correctly. I can see it on the navbar and the admincp. However, in the admincp, the only thing that works is "helpcenter main settings." the other links show up in the admincp, but when i click them, all i get is a white screen. What's wrong?

That helped, except now I still can't use the Department management. Before, none of the menus worked. Now, they all work, except Department management. Now, when I click department management, I get a message that says "Could not find phrase 'helpcenter_no_department'."

Firstly I would like to apologise for this, when I added a License to the package I accidently somehow managed to mix the admin files up. Anyway, please update to the version above, just overwrite the product and upload the admin file and everthing should be fine, on 3.7.1, if not post any comments over at PaulSonny.com and I will try my best to fix them quickly.

In the templates look for hcenter_navbar and copy and paste that into your navbar template were you want the link to appear.

For some reason I cannot edit the usergroup permissions. When I'm in the admincp, I can find the permissions under the usergroup, and when I edit the admin permissions, I get a database error. What's happening here?

Thanks for nominating us. If tickets are posted into a forum upon ticket creation and someone replies to the ticket then the reply is added to that original thread created.

If you reply to the thread and not the actual ticket, then im afraid it doesnt update the ticket at present.

If you read original post it tells, you need to update your Usergroup Permissions.

Ah right, I will double check and make sure it is working and fix for next release if neccessary.

On another note, I go away on holiday today and will be away for 2 weeks, Jase2 will be offering support while im away but nothing is likely to be released until I return.

Well i don't even have the chatbox installed anymore. I removed that a while ago. How can I remove it from the permissions?

Did you have an older version installed prior to installing the latest version? If so, make sure you un-install the current product then try again. If that doesn't work, then private message me admin and ftp login in and I will take a look for you when time permits.

When editing usergroups the options dont stick, so even tho l allow my admin user group FULL access none of the radio buttons state what they should....

however earlier while editing a user l noticed something very strange, l had like 5 Administrator user groups, l then turned the plugin back on and found every time l edited the admins user group to allow for access to the modification it created a new user group based off the settings l was editing! should the mod be doing that? plus editing the newly created usergroups result in yet another group being added!! even if l dont even edit the helpcenter settings...

Basically some predefined input fields that I can add to specific categories. These would be required for the user to submit a ticket. Just like how the Title field is required as it is now.

Let's say I have a Hardware category and I want to require a Serial # and Model # to be supplied.

ex:

Serial #: [ This Field is required to be filled out]

ekantnl, you will need to turn the automatic navbar edit option off in HelpCenter options, then do the following template edit.

In Navbar, FIND:

well lve had to uninstall this hack completely... it started messing up my plugins, for some reason it disabled Inferno VBshoutbox, even tho HelpCenter was disabled it turned off all the plugins for Inferno VBshout and it disappeared off the forum, what was worse is l couldnt turn the plugins back on until help center was completely removed.

what l dont get is why it conflicted with Inferno VBshoutbox

The latest HelpCenter release is 1.01, but I think a few people have reported that the XML is not quite up to date with the version number.

There is a planned final release of HelpCenter which should be made available in the next 2 or 3 weeks.

We do appreciate translations. However, before submitting one to us, you're probably better off waiting until we release an updated and more secure Lite version in 2 to 3 weeks.

Hey Paul,

Cheers for the excellent modification. I run a rather large website and this has certainly proven to be a huge help to my staff and to myself personally. I have just one question though:

My site is sitting at a width of 760 yet when going to "Submit Ticket" and several other places, the width of the forms and that exceed that of the actual forum (i.e., the site is 760, yet the forms will go to about 790/800). Where can I edit the actual size of the forms and that without having to widen my entire forum? Just to clear things up as I have a terrible habit of not explaining things correctly, here is a screenshot.

Go to UserGroup Permissions, pick the user group you want to use this, scroll all the way to the bottom and make sure they can see the ticket system, can make new tickets, can edit their tickets etc.

For example when a member asked a question, (if its public) then all members will be able to see this question. And they will be able to reply the question so it will make the mods job easier. Is it possible ?

Because even i did a public question via helpcenter, members still can not see the thread. Just the administrator usergroup...

helpcenter.php is used in alot of the script and templates. In order to change the name of the file, and it still work, you would need to change all helpcenter.phps in the mod.

Great Hack, but there are a few problems i've seen so far:
1) In a few templates, change the align="left" to align="$stylevar[left]".
2) You don't have a vbphrase for the words "High", "Medium", "Low", "Open", "Closed", "Private", "Public". They apper like this is some templates, and in the helpcenter.php.
3) In the hcenter_ticket template you tried to do something with $bgclass, but the background is really not set.
Other than that, i really liked your Hack! :)

You will need to go to your AdminCP > Styles & Templates > Edit Templates > Navbar

Edit the navbar template to manually add the Helpcentre link to your navbar.

This mod is not emailing any info to anyone when tickets are created or replied to. So let me see if I have this straight...

1. This mod allows you to select a forum where new tickets get posted BUT no email will be sent to the admin.

2. If the ticket post is replied to the ticket owner wont get an email notice back.

3. When anyone makes a ticket no email at all is sent to the admin to alert them of a new ticket?

4. WHAT IS THE POINT!!!

I Installed this. It worked fine but when a user makes a ticket it made a new thread in my forum.No email was sent to me. If reply through the admin area or in the thread no email is sent back to the ticket holder. If no one is getting an email either there is a bug a huge one or this mod is totally useless. Is this mod supposed to email when a new ticket is created? Are the members supposed to get a email when the admin replies to their ticket? A little help here please before I click the uninstall button.

MUCH better to use a mod that allows you to create navbar menus inside you admincp such as the "Advanced Navbar Links (https://vborg.vbsupport.ru/showthread.php?t=120517)" works perfect even on vb 3.7x. Hand coding links for your navbar is a wast of time.

I Like the Mod a Lot, but There are Some Problems I've Detected:

- Any User can See Any Ticket; if I change the Number of Ticket on the Address then I can see Any Ticket even if is Private or Public from other User. :confused:

- Any User can Edit Any Ticket of Anybody, and also Open it and Close it if has Permissions for doing it, (Not Open7Close All, but Simple Open/Close). :confused:

The User Should Only be able to Access His Own Tickets and also be Able Only to Edit and Open/Close His Own Tickets, not Other Persons Tickets.

I Hope You Can Fix those Details and Bugs. :(

I Like the Mod a Lot, but There are Some Problems I've Detected:
- Any User can See Any Ticket; if I change the Number of Ticket on the Address then I can see Any Ticket even if is Private or Public from other User. :confused:
- Any User can Edit Any Ticket of Anybody, and also Open it and Close it if has Permissions for doing it, (Not Open7Close All, but Simple Open/Close). :confused:
The User Should Only be able to Access His Own Tickets and also be Able Only to Edit and Open/Close His Own Tickets, not Other Persons Tickets.
I Hope You Can Fix those Details and Bugs. :(

How come when I have the standard editor enabled for quick reply (i.e. showthread) the quick reply for the ticket system shows the full editor? This is how it should appear.

The Mod is Really Nice but this Security/Privacy Issues are Critical when Critical Private Information is Shared.

For the Regular Forums there are Options to be Set for the Forum's Permissions to Allow or Not Users to see Other Member's Messages, that's the same Expected for this Mod, that even if a User tries to Guess someone else's Private Ticket isn't Able to See it. :confused:

Also the Public/Private Tickets of Others can be Edited by Any User, and that's not right; only the Owner of the Ticket and Admins should be able to do that, (perhaps other Usergroups set on the Mod's Options). :confused:

I also hope that the Developper can Fix this Issues, the Mod has Great Potential for Efficient Support on the Boards.

a VB mod should close this thread. VB.org hacks are supposed to be free? He's not 'peddling' his hacks on here. Paul has taken the time out to produce a ticket support system to use on your site free of charge. Show some appreciation and respect, mate.

If you don't want to buy the Pro version, then don't. Nobody's forcing you to sit there and pick up your credit card or what have you and purchase it. I would be doing the same thing - it takes alot of keep forums up and running financially. How about you work on a Pro support system and then you'll have earned the right to sit here and judge someone else's product.

Well I know a couple more which work that way and I don't agree with you.
If it works for free, but with a bit less options then a pro version, the limited version is still for free.

However, this product is still not 100% ok cause there are mean bugs (see Inciarco's comments on that).
And ofcourse the coder can't expect that people buy the pro version when the free version isn't even working correct.:)
I'm thankfull for this hack, but I'll wait until things are fixed before I install it.

There are many modifications (lite versions) made available to vBulletin.org Members - PAUL didn't have to share the modification at all... Instead of griping - simply don't use it. But if you look at the pages and pages and pages of commentary in this thread, it's obvious that there are more than a few Members who appreciates PAUL's effort regardless of whether there's a paid version :rolleyes:

Alright, for this how would I make the forum so each time a member clicks it, it's empty. So that only that members topics can be seen by them and no one else. (Besides ADMIN/MOD/SUPER MOD) I want something like that but, I don't know how I would do that.

"Can Open Ticket" means that user can open any ticket that he/she has submitted.

"Can Open Any Ticket" is alot like an Admin/Mod feature. User's with direct permissions can open any ticket, even if they are not the author.

Um, I downloaded. and when I try to go on it, it says

I am an idiot... I cant find the helpcenter in my forum CP. Is there any way to get it to show there? I have it in my admin CP. And I have given myself premission ;) I might have to code it in myself. And I saw an answer earlyer here, to put it in the cp navbar.

But what is the code I shall put in?

This is assuming you're running the default vBulletin style, and not a modified style. It's also assuming you're only allowing members to use the system. If not, then simply remove <if condition="$show['member']"> and the </if> tag.

Thats big issues. One can change the ticket ID in the address and browse other private tickets and can even close, edit that ticket :/

That turned me away from using this. Because it can make any user mess with the support system.

Same thing here, had about 30 tickets open with pr0n links and junk since yesterday. I disabled unregistered users/guests from accessing it, but then people that might have issues registering cant use it either :/

i dont seem to be able to find the options to do it, so im assuming that you cannot restrict access to individual department tickets. eg. i want my moderators to only be able to see moderation style tickets and not the subscription/membership tickets.

If that isnt possible, this isnt very useful to me.

Hmmm, was looking for a mod like this as we're getting bombarded by questions about a new game release, most of them on the technical side.

So correct me if I am wrong. This mod doesn't support privacy and is leaky because it allows others to see, edit and close tickets?

I would like my members to be able to submit a ticket, have my staff take care of it and keep communication between staff and user during the whole process completely confidential.

I too just realized I was spammed with literally hundreds of tickets... I had it set for guests to be allowed... I have set it to disallow guests NOW.

Is there anyway to mass delete tickets???????? I have hundreds

Hello, I've installed this mod and I have absoloutly no complaints. Does just about everything I was looking for, thank you very much for the suberb mod.

I do have a couple of questions.

Is it possible for tickets for different departments to be posted in different forums and is it possible for replies made in the threads it creates to be shown on the ticket in the helpcenter area.

I Can see on the "helpcenter.php" File that there is Not Use of the Specified Options for "_any_tickets" on the Usergroups so all the "Can" Options "_tickets" are currently Working as the "_any_tickets", and that's Why All UserGroups can Edit, Open, Close, Delete, the Tickets of Other Users even if those Tickets are Private of those Other Users, (Great Bug for an User to be Able to See/Edit/Open/Close the Private Ticket of other User). :confused:

I Hope PaulSonny would Include all the Complete Functionallity of the "Can" do Actions on "_any_tickets", because in the Currently Version it isn't Working as I explained. :confused:

I Liked a Lot the Mod, but With those Bugs where other Users Can View/Edit/Open/Close/Delete other Users Tickets (Private and Public), the Mod is Un-Workable. :( (For Now I Have it Installed but Disabled :()
