Info:
Advanced PayPal Donate system for vBulletin.


Features:
-Allow users to donate suggested or custom amounts, or both
-Set minimum amount accepted
-Set currency
-Block usergroups from using Donate system
-Donations list
-Subscriptions (for Business/Premier PayPal Accounts)

-Mark donations as confirmed/unconfirmed

Installation:
1. Import XML file (as product): AdminCP > Plugin System > Manage Products > [Add/Import Product]

2. OPTIONAL (for some customized styles)
Open template "navbar" and add "$cyb_paypal_donate_link" after "vbphrase[user_cp]</a></td>" surrounded by proper TD tags
3. OPTIONAL (for some customized styles)
Open template "navbar" and add "$cybpaypal_donlist_link" after "vbphrase[miscellaneous]</td></tr>" surrounded by proper TD/TR tags
4. OPTIONAL (to put DonBar to desired page)
a) set THIS_SCRIPT option in hack settings
b) Open desired template and put "$cybpaypal_donbar" where you wish to have Donation Bar shown

can we have it so postage is set by default to £0
as no postage is defined, people like myself who have a shop and have set postage values in paypal, require it, to prevent postage costs being added to the Donation.

Also if using vbadvanced, it apears on the vdacmps page, but comes up an error if you click donate on any amount.

A few things I noticed in the new version..

You can't disable the navbar link in the admincp, if i wanted to add code so it's display in a different location on the navbar.

Is there a way to link it, say i wanted to provide a link in a thread or a banner. What would the link be.

All my hacks are tested on fresh vB installation, without other plugins or any portals installed, nor any files modified.

the latest release works 100% with VBAdvanced. you just specify the name of your orignnal index.php. i changed my vba cmps_index.php to index.php and the vbuletin index.php tp cmps_index.php

in the donate settings in the Admin c.p just specify the name you put for your vbuletin index file and it will work.

I'm using a custom style from vbstyles and the navbar is so heavily modified that "vbphrase[user_cp]</a></td>" is not in the template. There are a lot of "vbphrase" tags but nothing with [user_cp]. Where would I add the "$cyb_paypal_donate_link" code to get this to work? I'm copying my navbar code below (sorry it's so long!). Thanks!!!

I had a problem with the postage and packaging too, here is a fix:

in CybPayPalDonate.XML find: (currently line 94)

Below that add:

<input type="hidden" name="shipping" value="0">

Save the file then you need to reinstall the product and set it up again.

The two lines turn of asking for shipping address and set the shipping cost to 0

I have modified the source XML so that you can also take subscriptions.

You can enable donation, subscriptions or both from the control panel.

You can edit the original XML file to change the phrases to german. Then reinstall it

I think you would disable it via the AdminCP>vBulletin Options>Cyb-PayPal Donate
Theres a radio button down near the bottom to disable it in the navbar

Confused! Paypal offers an option to pay and recieve money trough bank accountnumbers instead of creditcards but when someone wants to donate there's a page with only visa/mastercard info....or do i overlook something?

No matter what this plugin has stopped working, all I get over and over is this:

I see a difference in the instructions. but i dont see that that would make a difference only on placement. In the description above it says to put the code after"vbphrase[faq]</a></td>" OPTIONAL (for some customized styles)
Open template "navbar" and add "$cyb_paypal_donate_link" after "vbphrase[faq]</a></td>" but the downloded zip instructions say to put it after this code in the template. "vbphrase[user_cp]</a></td>"

About this error mentioned by Smoothie's - for some reason it doesn't work when you choose "1 month" for subscription duration. Not sure why it happens but will check this...

Cyb , when users donate in version 3.1 their usernames doesnt shows up in " paypal's Details " it was working find in last versions !

Regarding available documentation this should work fine with all browsers now.

About the other problems - please upgrade to v3.2 and check if they are gone.

If problems persists the only way to see what's wrong is that user create temp admin account for me with permissions to use Options and Plug-ins so I can check it.

I think its a problem with the selection of amount.

When an amount is selected and you click submit it will not add that amount in the paypal box on the paypal page.

I have noticed that a lot of members who have this installed have their links as

/index.php?do=donate

An not like mine
/misc.php?do=donate

Maybe this is the cause of it?

Amount was not sent correctly because of that javascript error and I'm not sure why you get it. If you want create temp admin account for me so I can check it, or just give me a link to your forums to see your donate page.

When trying to use subscriptions I get this error notice on the page from paypal:
The link you have used to enter the PayPal system is invalid. Please review the link and try again.

A slight problem when selecting subscriptions.

Click donate link, click "Setup Subscription for" box, change the dropdown box to anything other than the first choice. The radio button below does not update to the correct amount. However, when you click, it does take you to the paypal page with the correct terms. This is a problem because it may mislead the donating person into believing they are donating for a term longer than shown on the "misc.php?do=donate" page.

If you first click the time frame and then click the box next to the "Setup Subscription for", it shows the correct terms.

It should refresh to show the correct terms, but it does not. Screenshots below:

Would otherwise a perfect donation script for my tastes. Don't really need anything more bloated than this so hope it can be fixed soon.

after updating this on my 3.5 board, ive noticed in the admin cp options, the option to change the currency has now changed...to this..

I am having the same problem as a few others, it works in default skin, but I don't have the [faq] or user_cp link in my nav bar...any ideas what I can do to get it to show. Suggestion: I have a Donate Button on my forum. It would be great, if when the viewer presses the button it shows the donate process and have the list right below it. It will give the person viewing more confidence to donate. Do you know what i mean? :)

Another suggestion: I can't be having whole numbers on the list. Due to paypal fees if they donate $5 bucks it comes out to be $4.55. So that means when they donate $5 it would be great if your mod can calculate the equation of the pp fees and then be added to the list. Then when entering manually, entering $4.55 should come out to be $4.55 and not $5 bucks.

Another suggestion: Have a Total or Donation Balance in the bottom that will add all the confirmed donations.

I am running 3.6.7 bulletin board..with Version 3.5 of the Paypal mod.

Everything works cool except for an issue I have with the Nav menu bar. I have a few other custom mods installed... including the Photoplog Gallery. When I click on the Photoplog gallery the "Donate" button dissappears.... and one other mod (XEON MP3 player) no longer works when you click on the link (player loads - but get a page not found type message) - I think this is something to do with less buttons being on the Nav bar....

I have messed around with changing the position of various components on the Nav bar... but it makes no difference to the logic... get the same result. I then added in a second Nav Bar in the hope that would help... but again, same logic occurs.

Anyway, it functions, not a problem... just annoying that the Donate button dissapears when certain other Nav bar functionality is selected.

I have tried the two optional Template changes suggested in the Txt file. One adds a "second" donate button to the Nav bar... the other adds a link type code to the quicklinks drop down box (appears like a hyperlink). In short, neither seems to help.

Any suggestions?

EDIT: Fixed my first error by just hardcoding the link.

Here's my new issue: Can't get the Donator List link to work. By adding the code where it's suggested, I get the following display in the quick links menu, rather than a proper link:

$vbphrase[cybpaypal_donlist]

And when I click the link, it returns this link, which is incorrect and goes to a not-found page:

I have one small problem, If I enable "Subscriptions" & a user selects a subscription donation they get this error.

"The link you have used to enter the PayPal system is invalid. Please review the link and try again."

Any clues ??

I can't get the donator list to work. I am using 3.6.7 PL1. It just puts a link in my nav bar titled "$cybpaypal_donlist_link".

How can this be edited to be the default colour?

Well, I found that in the global cybpaypal template.

One thing...

I went to make a test payment, didn't even get so far as logging on to paypal, yet my name is in the list of donators.

That means anyone else who clicks through is going to add their name to the list.

That's potentially a lot of work clearing the list down and cross-checking.

I have installed this, I think its working, but I as Admin cannot add manually past donations we have had, well I can but they do not show up when I go to look at the donators list
