In Paypal - go to your Profile then Selling Preferences, then click on Website Selling Preferences.

In there you need to enable Auto Return and enter the "/misc.php?do=donate_thanks" url (in full) to the site.

All seems to be well again

I think I fixed above problem, had to do with the page I want the donate bar to show on which are the donate page.. Am using misc.php?do=donate in the 'Show DonBar on (comma separated THIS_SCRIPT locations)' place in the options.

I would *like* the bar to only be on the donate page (put the phrase in the template) and on the donate list page (haven't added phrase to template yet. The only time I can actually get the donate bar option to work is if I enable it and have it on 'index', it won't work with any other page. Right now I have disabled this option totally.

I´m using this mod for a few month. But now we have problems. Not really probs with mod, more probs with paypal. Because a huge number of our members are not paypalmembers. So the transaction will be terminated. And so the most members don´t donation. But after a vote we found out that the most members will donation if it possible to donation via banktransfer. So I have now the question.

Is it possible to integrated a status like now and a button with "donation now". But if you click the button you wont be transfer to paypal. But the member see as first possibility a banktransfer letter (and the can print it)
or the other posibility were that the member see the datas to transfer the money.

But mabe it is possible to link an other transfer method. Like UOS (United Transfer) or some other.

And for the statusbar were a manuell release great. So I can setup the bar by myself.

I have one question. I know it was mentioned before(From post #334 https://vborg.vbsupport.ru/showthread.php?p=1275190&highlight=multiple#post1275190 ). I have multiple donation pages created. Although they all link to the same donation total. I would like to split them up on seperate pages.

For example, I have 4 servers running. The donor could click on one servers donation page and donate for that server, not the total bill. If one server isnt pulling its weight on donations it will be shut down. Any help on this issue will be much appreciated. Thanks.

Hi. I have this mod and the ibproarcade installed on my forum. I also have the donation bar turned on. It works well, but the donation bar bleeds onto the arcade screen whenever you exit or complete a game. Not a show stopper... but annoying. Is there a fix for this?

Hey, I was wondering - By default, the donators page shows up with the most recent donation on top (yeah I know you can sort it back after that) But I'd like it so that by default when you click the donators page, it shows up as biggest donator ontop.. Is that possible?

I can't seem to generate a donars list. In fact, the donation goal amount is $50 for the month and it shows 0% received even though I've receievd several donations thus far.

Any thoughts as to how I can get this stuff to work for me?

The most frustrating part of it is that I can;t see DONATORS under MISCELLANEOUS even though my settings all appear to be correct.

How to know that people pay as donators, i need the lists for that. and one more thing, when i use maximum donator amount to 250$ and when someone pay $50 as donators, the amount amount has to be deducted from donators. ie $200.

Hi, I am running 3.6.8 PL2 and I have just updated from cyb - paypal donate 3.9 to 4.4 so that we could have a donor bar. From what I can tell it upgraded just fine but I am unable to see the donor bar. I have it turned on in the Admin cPanel but still nothing. Can someone please help me?!?!

p.s. where exactly is the hack settings where I am to add THIS_SCRIPT to?

Ok, let me see, the hack is a fine thing first of all and it seems to work just fine - besides - compared to others there is many adjustemnts that can be made. All in all a good hack.

well, I run a 3.7.4 Beta but that doesn't matter to the hacks - the only thing about it is that I can not see the donations in the donation listings when I am on misc.php?do=donlist, I can not validate them in the moderation queue - nothing... why that? My usergroup is added to the list though in the settings... do you know a hint how I get that done? I am the user with the id=1 but the usergroup is let's say 21...

Is there any way to view/confirm new donations without being a super admin? I have tried it with serveral donations now and the only way I can see them is if I add myself to the super admins usergroup. The thing is we need a different usergroup to be able to confirm new donations without having them being a member of the super admin group.

Dont really understand why you would want to do this since to confirm a members donation you would need access to the site admins paypal account to confirm it. If thats the case that person must be well trusted and should be in the Administrator group anyways. But its your option.

Well Sinister, we are a large gaming clan and have multiple tiers of management. We are too large to have just one person do everything. I did end up finding a fix for us by renaming user groups so that the group that we wanted to manage the donations became group ID 6.

I created a custom message to be displayed with my donor bar, and added the "$cybpaypal_donbar" in three different places, all to no avail. I tried the sidebar that I have on all pages, my footer, and in a thread.

Any ideas about why my donor bar & message won't show up? Is there a size limit on the message? Does it stay hidden until the site recieves at least one donation?

It looks like all the buttons and input fields are missing class designations (meaning they are always default) which kinda screws up the layout seeing as my default text is white.

You gave everything smallfont classes. The input fields should have the bginput class and the buttons should have the button class.

I'm trying to get this working on a 3.6.8 patch 2 board. I installed and can go to AdminCP > vBulletin Options > Cyb - PayPal Donate. Enable hack is yes, as is Automatically Add Donate link to navbar. However, the link is not showing up on our navbar.

I have not enabled the Donation Bar (it doesn't seem necessary to activate the Donate link...or is it?!). Please let me know if there are some other things I can check to make this work.

Nevermind...I realized that I forgot to add administrators as one of the groups that could view the donators list page. But then again, I also figured it should be automatic.

I had this same problem too.
But I noticed once it brings me to the smilies page that I am not logged in now.
Strange?

Once I logged in (again) on the smilies page, it then brought up the donor list.
I think this is a cookie bug/mod bug on the vbulletin side.

I think that happens when you don't have the permission to view the donations :)
Give permission to all usergroups (or the ones you want) and they will be able to view the page, others will see the Smiley page (sounds funny :):p

If you go back a few posts, you will see that you have to make that change in two different places for it to work.

well since the one i have does not have cyb_paypal_donate or cyb_paypal_list in it, I just looked in my template and opened all the cybernetec templates and every on that had something like <form in it I followed that line with <input type="hidden" name="securitytoken" value="$bbuserinfo[securitytoken]" />
and it is working fine now

found the fix for .10

there are several templates you have to edit.

in templates cyb_paypal_donate cyb_paypal_list and cyb_paypal_list_edit search for

<form

under that LINE insert

<input type="hidden" name="securitytoken" value="$bbuserinfo[securitytoken]" />

also in template cyb_paypal_list search for

action="misc.php?do=cybpp_multiupdate" method="post" onsubmit="return Cpp_confirmAction();"

and

<form id="cybppdl" name="cybppdl" action="misc.php?do=adddon" method="post">

insert the following below those lines

<input type="hidden" name="securitytoken" value="$bbuserinfo[securitytoken]" />

that fixed my errors. im sure it will fix yours. but i make no guarantee. only chanced it because the creator seems to be away.

For a future update here are my suggestions, which in the mean time I have gone ahead and done myself on my site.

Create a separate donations.php file because that misc_start plugin is super long.
Create a separate donations phrasegroup.
Use PayPal IPN so users aren't credited with the donation until the PayPal transaction is confirmed and complete.

It should work with no problems.

If you discover any problems you can simply downgrade to older version by importing product with overwrite checked. Just don't uninstall product, as uninstall process removes Donation logs and hack settings.

Hello, I'm using the 4.7 version with a german translation. But I think my problem isn't a issue of this translation. So I am glad if someone can help me here.

After clicking on the donation button is seeing on the Paypal site the phrase "Donation to support **** [username]"

After the Paypal payment is done, I have in the PayPal payment description only "Donation to suppport ****" The username wasn't transmitted.

So I have problems to assign the payment to a user.

I believe to remember that in older versions the username was transmitted to the PayPal account statement!?

How can I resolve the problem?

I've been using this Mod for well over a year and thanks to Cyb's hard work it's always worked perfect. However I've a little question. I've just upgraded from 4.5 to 4.7 and noticed the reintroduction of the 'Subscription' option. Cyb can you tell me what happens after somebody has subscribed for 12mths and the time period runs out, do they get sent a reminder email or do they just revert back to the 'Registered Users' usergroup.

Also why does the 'Subscribe' PalPal donation only work for Business/Premier PayPal Accounts, my users aren't the most confident on the web so at which point are they told their subscription is invalid if their PayPal account is neither of the above?

The directions given by the author or this hack, were a bit unclear and incomplete. At least for a code newb like myself anyway.

That is because the users do NOT actually follow through with the payment. I get 1 out of 100 that actually donate. Everyone else just clicks it to see what will happen.

Cybernetec, thanks for a great mod. It's working perfectly.

The only request or suggestion that I could make is - part of making a donation is that my users get a user title of "Donating Member". In order for them to get this, I have to manually "Update User Titles and Ranks" in the Maintenance section.

Is there a way that it could all be done at the same time when confirming and adding to the donator group?

I posted this over at vBulletin.com support for my 3.8.4 Patch 2 software. I just installed the Cyb PayPal system. I really like it, I posted a goal of $500.00 to raise. I got a $100.00 donation, but my goal doesn't reflect the PayPal payment. How does this work to reflect the goal that should now be $400.00?

Any ideas?
