white page index.php · **Released**: 08-09-2005

i've just finished installing the CMPS, when I go to my new index.php(renamed from cmps_index.php) page, all I get is a white page. my forums.php(renamed from index.php) page is working fine.

any ideas on why my portal is not displaying?

sorry to bump an old thread, but I didn't want to open a new thread since I have the exact same problem.

Check the vBadvanced templates have been added for all your styles...lack of template is a common cause of getting a white page.

Try re-running the install file but selecting 'templates only'.

another common reason is not editing the global.php file, or as I'm prone to doing, editing it saving it and then forgeting to upload it.

Hi, I just bought vb so it is all new to me.
Yes I screwed up, I missed a step in the edit of global.php :ermm:

Don't worry about it. Everyone makes mistakes whether they are experienced or not. Just glad we were able to help and you got it sorted.
