That's probably the clearest place to find php reference. Some buddies of mine will be getting together soon and will be writing some php data for vBulletin. So your not left shooting in the dark.

the php manual is hard to use if you dont understand what you want, try www.spoono.com for some tutorials, I also use www.webdevforums.com sometimes, otherwise just search on www.google.com for php tutorials or something like that.
