I want to force users with a certain amount of posts to use the default avatars in my database, but when they reach a certain number of posts, they will be able to upload their own or specify a URL for the image. This would really encourage activity and add another level of seniority between members, just as user titles do.

Can anyone make this hack?

Right now, you can only specify when a user can use avatars at all, and beyond that limit you can only control if they have the ability to upload their own or not. Can anyone do this?

I think you can do this actually. Isn't there a 'minimum posts to have a custom avatar' option as well as 'minimum posts to have an avatar'?

Its very clear
