i search'd but couldn't find it, don't really know what this hack would be called, unless it is in the templates......

but if someone could point me in the right direction, its much appreciated

Its just a template modification, that I worked out my own version of at my forums as well, using icons instead of text in my graphic styles and text in my text based styles.
