Modifying registration fields to prevent spam

Gang; ( running VB 3.5.4 )

So no doubt many of us receive the following from spam bots filling out regisration fields:

Man
Array
123456

Question: Can I prevent (regular expression or otherwise) words or numeric input as above on a field to field level? In other words, I want the registation process to not allow use of 'Man' or 'Array' ... etc.

You would have to block those words out completely off the forum or use one of the extensive captcha Add-ons that are supplied on this site via Modifications.

It works wonders and keeps the spambots from joining every time.
