Which version do you use?
The 3.6.0 Is built in to it, Which you can go to vB options And for the birthday message search it in the phrase manager ________ Expedition |

In v 3,5,4 you can search for birthday in admin cp/languages and phrases/search in phrases, you can then edit to have it say what you want. Copied from that page for your info:-

You can edit the Welcome message in the same place. Do a search for the first few words in the welcome message you have at present. Karen |
