A way to change your welcome message?

Is there a way to edit the text that is in the Welcome Messages that registered users receive when they sign up? Where can these changes be made? Oh, same with Birthday messages!!! Please advise, if you know how.. THANKS :)

Which version do you use?
The 3.6.0 Is built in to it, Which you can go to vB options
And for the birthday message search it in the phrase manager

In v 3,5,4 you can search for birthday in admin cp/languages and phrases/search in phrases, you can then edit to have it say what you want. Copied from that page for your info:-

Quote:

Email Subject Text Phrases Containing 'birthday'

birthday Standard Phrase Happy Birthday from $vboptions[bbtitle]

--------

Email Body Text Phrases Containing 'birthday'

birthday Standard Phrase Hello $username, We at $vboptions[bbtitle] would like to wish you a happy birthday today!
If this birthday text isnt what you are looking for there are a lot more in the same place.

You can edit the Welcome message in the same place. Do a search for the first few words in the welcome message you have at present.
