Can i show last 20 topic in my home page with rewrite?

I want read in the Db ed make rewrite like vrewrite for show at my users

Is it a hack? If it is, all old URLs will redirect to the newly rewritten ones.

For example i have forum in

site.com/forum

in site.com i want show last topic, but with rewrite i don't know

I want make this for Search Engine
