Can i show last 20 topic in my home page with rewrite?

I want read in the Db ed make rewrite like vrewrite for show at my users :)

Is it a hack? If it is, all old URLs will redirect to the newly rewritten ones.

no, not is a hack.

I want to show last topic about my forum in my home page

For example i have forum in

site.com/forum

in site.com i want show last topic, but with rewrite i don't know :(

I want make this for Search Engine :)
