What are the best options available for:
(free, but if commmercial, below $50 )

Events -- announcement, discussion, picture upload that goes to gallery section
Picture Gallery --
JukeBox
Links
Downloads
Friends(Hi5 type)
Betting with virtualcash system [already installed arcade for flash games]

Doesn't do all of what you listed, but http://www.mkportal.it/

I don't use it, so I'm not sure of how well it works, but the last I heard it was free.

i wanted an opinion on whats available here and what you all have personally installed and a satisfied user .

not a all in one package but links to those that you use and recommend ..

Events -- Dunno..but there are a couple of Event-to-thread mods here.
Picture Gallery -- Photopost/Photopost vBGallery - vBGallery is to be $60 apparently.
JukeBox -- vBRadio? ZeroTolerance's hack was pretty fun.
Links - No idea. Haven't played around with these.
Downloads - www.thevbgeek.com - GeekMart/Geeker - Commercial under $50.
Friends(Hi5 type) - Dunno.
Betting with virtualcash system [already installed arcade for flash games] - vBookie - available here.
