@Erwin, if your succeeding AND private, thats a LOT more impressive.

I always tell people who are starting new forums "You need dedication and something different".

If you came along with EXACTLY the same forum, the other forum theoratically would win, but add lots more features, have a gimmick, something that stands you out from the others and you should succeed.

the biggest phone forums are wh@mob and howardforums to my knowlege, then theirs a load of others which have potential including www.e-tones.co.uk which i used to supermod at, but mobile forums are hard.

i would love my forums to be bigger and have plans on how to acheive this just takes time i guess, that's why i'm learning php with my new books which i'm getting thru and learning stuff, even dreaming about php now but it should mean i won't have to depend on anyone and that's just awesome and cheap :lol:

Erwin: Out of plain curiosity, why is it that you (and others I have seen, I think) tend to keep your major sites private from the vB community? It's ok if you're not comfortable answering, I've just seen you around the vB sites for so long and always wondered. Curiosity killing the cat and all.
