vB sends out plain text emails not html.

What you need is:

"Please note that most features on the site require you to post an introduction in the http://www.hobby-machinist.com/forum...S-amp-WELCOMES (the first forum from the top of the page) before they can be accessed. Access to the Downloads Library requires a minimum of 20 posts."

You may find a mod that allows you to send html email.
