Thanks guys, its prob that bit in the index.php file I missed out last time I tried
Is it the index.php in the default (roof) forum folder I need to change or the one for each theam I want to use?
Actually I believe Lynne had the best info here, disable them via the product manager the index edit is something extra you should do if not using the CMS . You only need to edit the index.php that's included in your vbulletin files i.e. the index.php that is on your forums ROOT folder.
