How to create a Feedback forum?
Hello All,
I want to create a new forum at my Forums which will be for those that have some problems or any feedback which they would like to send to the Admin. How can I make such sort of forums where only the starter of the topic and the administrators can view the topic and the rest can't? i.e. if any member views that forum, he will only see the posts that he created and nothing else. Waiting for your replies. Thanks. |

I know excaktly what your looking for..
the old 3.8 mod Easy forms This mod was able to make a feedback forum, and post it in any forum you want, ewen one only viewable by a specifik usergroup, such as admin.. But unfortunally noone have picked up the task and port it to 4.x so only alternative im thinking off is makeing a costum template with the forms on and then when a user fills in the fields, hit submit its autoposted in db with link to that specifik forum. Difference is, the Easy forms, could do this for you without any programming experience. God i miss that mod |

you can do it without any mods.
There is a vbulletin permission on a per usergroup basis which will achieve this: 1. Create a forum 2. Goto permissions for registered users for the forum you just created 3. Under Forum viewing permissions change can view others threads to no 4. Repeat 2+3 for other usergroups you don't want to see other peoples threads (i have mine set like this for all groups that aren't admins or smods) 5. you are done. |
