I can not log into my admin cp, all my admin privileges have been removed.

I need the owner / head admin to log in and fix it for me, but he is MIA I sent an email and checked a few sites that he used to be on but no reply.

This is a bit urgent cause at the moment my forum is running with no access to admincp I can't approve new members, I can edit / delete / move threads, I can't closed threads or ban people if needed.

Is it possible for vbulletin to log in and do something or do I have to get hold of my head admin.

Please help.
Is the owner the head admin who is MIA?
If it is not your site and they do not care enough to give it the attention it needs, why do you care?
Are you being paid to do your admin role?
Ultimately if the site owner has abandoned the site and/or maybe deliberately blocked your access as a cowardly way of sacking you then start your own forum in competition and post a link to it from the existing forum saying that the owner has abandoned the site and you are starting up a new forum.
That's if you want to own your own forum, of course.

There used to be a successful DVD forum called DVD Debate.
I hope the 'Chris Marin' story doesn't happen to you.

Obituary
DVDDebate.com
April 1st 2000 – March 17th 2005

Founded on the 1st of April 2000 by Lee J Stoneman DVD debate was arguably the first UK website dedicated to what was the brave new world of the Digital Versatile Disc popularly known as the DVD.

Using the strap line “Telling it like it is “ ‘the debate’ as it became affectionately known offered a no nonsense review policy in a period when entry level players cost many hundreds of pounds and discs as much as ?40 each (and variable quality, who remembers the two sided Armageddon disc fiasco).

Stoneman’s website provided a resource of information through a mixture of in depth reviews on both equipment and films as well as members forum where like minded individuals could exchange information on their new found hobby.

Perhaps the websites greatest strength was that it encouraged forum users to become’ editors’ in their own right, reviewing and comparing disks from different regions as well as discussing equipment. Some commented that this eclecticism never reflected wider society and the membership and editorial team remained mainly male.

With a world wide readership ‘the debate’ stayed at the leading edge of this new technological revolution but as the price of both players and disks started to fall and strong competition from other DVD websites its relevance for the wider DVD buying public became less important.

Under the brief editorship of Chris Marin ‘the debates’ fortunes rallied with increased readership, however in February 2005 Marin publicly resigned citing poor support from UK based DVD companies, family commitments, and a lack of contact with the sites owner Stoneman.

With no reviews and the once bustling forums becoming deserted the debate fell in to decline, early in March 2005 the site was unobtainable for a week then reappeared, it passed away peacefully on March 17th.

You'll need to turn off the promotion system with vbexperience, it will promote you (even as an admin) out of that group and leave you without access to the site.
