Ensure you have entered the correct database username & password into your config.php file

It happens across 2 specific boards I run (out of 4 with vB) but are shared on the same hosting account. Obviously all of my DB information is correct, but it seems like there's a hiccup possibly on my hosts' end when I get those errors. How often do you get that error? |

Its a misconfiguration on the hosting server

As i own my own server, i make sure all server settings are correct as my customers wouldnt be happy when it happens.

If this is a once of occurrence, the advice to jump ship isn't really needed. What might have happened is the host restarted the MySQL daemon to clear something up. You only need to be concerned if this happens a lot.
