I wonder why that is. Maybe it's because the wealthiest company in the world makes it.

IE8 does load pages quicker than Firefox, even pages loaded from localhost. The downfall is trying to load IE when your CPU usage is high. For example if I'm using ConvertXToDVD and I try to load IE (which is set to Google IG) it'll bring up a white page and just sit there. If I try and do anything it'll crash. If I launch Firefox it'll take about ten seconds to load up but once it does it runs very smooth.

I think Microsoft made IE with too much ego. When you launch it IE will say "Someone clicked on me, I must get it front of the line without any consideration for other running applications."
