i think its a great idea but i will state once again i think andrewd has the best support. it's right up there with ibpro and vbplaza.
i would be happy either way he goes. i find it much easier to come here for support as i do for all the mods i have installed. i would prefer not to leave vbulletin.org to get supprt but doesn't mean i won't lol. |

Well, LDM is powerful, and soon to be even more versatile, i think it's a great idea.

It should be done. Where doesn't matter as long as there is a link in the first thread of the LDM Mod post.

Mods, can you please create or enable Andrew to create multiple threads for LDM. I have no doubt that the 3.6 thread will hit 2400 posts again, like the 3.5 thread has. There is no way anyone is going to read them all to find what they need. Not everything can be found with the forum search engine.

I was going to reply that my sig says it all, but that's not true.
I must say that Andrew is the most selfless and understanding coder I've had the pleasure of dealing with. He is patient with beginners, doesn't snap at the many redundant questions and comments, doesn't take criticism/feedback personally, carefully considers requests and offers timely responses and support. He seems to genuinely care about the end user. Thank you Andrew. |

Now that several premium mods are defunct and will loose their premium mod status, can LDM please get premium mod status?
Not only are the discussion threads of LDM extensive, there have been several threads for LDM add-ons as well and I have no doubt that there will be more in the future. And then there is Andrew's extensive product manual / wiki. That too shows how serious, professional and stable this mod is. All the more reason for a special spot on vb.org. So Paul, Danny, Marco & Princeton, will you consider this? |

We are still not planning to add any premium support forum using the current setup. More likely is that we will abandon the idea and make features like bug-trackers available to all modifications.

That's good news as well. Thanks for taking up that idea.
But how do you plan to handle the discussion of add-ons that are so extensive that several threads would be justified? For example; add-ons that have multiple add-ons. Andrew mostly integrates LDM add-ons in time, so many disappear after a while. Or he includes them in the release. The LDM zip contains many add-ons to LDM. |

Consideration for those who use their own external bug-trackers would be great.

However, I still believe (as did vbulletin.org at one point obviously) that some hacks require (this isn't about deserve) a more complex support structure. I think that, for those hacks, if they are not going to support premium forums they should at least loosen the restrictions on 'promoting' an external site for that author. |
