Hi,
I have the exact same problem here. Let me explain more about my issue. I want to use the censorship as a kind of "forced spell check", so words that are commonly spelled wrong would be replaced by its correct version. On Invision Power Board (IPB) I used its censorship module to do that. On vBulletin, however, the censorship module doesn't allow me to replace words with a configurable word, only to replace bad words with *. Using replacement vars as suggested above is a pain, because we have four skins installed, so we would need to configure all words for our fours styles. Too much trouble. I searched for spell check modules, but the problem is that (1) they are based on add-on software based on the English dictionary (our forums aren't in English); (2) the spell check function is used only if the user click on the Spell Check icon that the mod/hack installs. So there is no way to force the spell check to be used. I want a mod/hack that would provide me a table where I could enter the word I want to replace and the new word. That's all. Any suggestions? I am not a programmer myself so even though I have this need and idea, I don't know how to code this. Thanks, Gabriel. |
