vBShop is the most advanced shop mod to date. Giving you unprecedented control over what items you can sell, vBShop is the perfect mod to go along with virtually any points modification.
With features like overriding any usergroup permission, including those of custom modifications, vBShop raises the bar for what you will come to expect from a shop mod.

What does 'Marking As Installed' do ?

Shop Management
Admins and User Shop owners can set another person as "Benficiary" of the shop to receive a percentage 0-100 of the proceeds
Can be same as shop owner, none (extra money vanishes into thin air) or another userId
Amounts can be split in any amount of 0-100%
Shops / Items General
Front-end: Shop list does not display if only one shop is active
Front-end: Item list can now have more or less than 5 items per line depending on the skin
Items have an AdminCP toggle to force it to not be displayed in the postbit. Purchased items are forcibly set to Hidden and cannot be un-hidden.
Items with the Item Type "Usergroup Permissions (Yes / No)" or "Usergroup Permissions (Values)" can now override up to 5 permissions each.
(Pro) Custom items now displays icons from a separate folder from admin-created items
General / Other
The bank balance of each currency can optionally be displayed in the postbit. Toggled by a vBOption setting.
The profile tab can be disabled via a vBOption setting.
The Purchase Notification PM now lists the quantity of items purchased
All PMs sent by this mod now displays the forum signature
Item display in the postbit now shows gift giver and gift message if any were entered, where applicable
All "Yes / No / Default" usergroup permission selectors now have vB-style "All Yes / All No / All Default" buttons
Items now have a toggle for Active. Items flagged as inactive are automatically disabled from the inventories of any member who purchased it while it was active.

admin doesnt now lockup but i got this error now

Database error in vBulletin 4.0.4:

The number of points under the post bit is not showing. It is blank next to the amount of points you have.

Also, the BBcode for user signatures look like they have been disabled.

The join date has been fixed. And the points not showing up is looking like this. I have 15 points.

Ontop of the line GR Points: there is a line that shows how much thanks in posts you have. The number of points is starting of that line.

EX: 15Thanked 14 times in 7 posts

I have 15 points and under the EX: would then come "GR Points:"

It'll work with any currency mod, just look in the admin options under points settings for how to configure it to work with any points mod :)

There's a rudimentary points hack included, but you'll benefit from installing a points mod like our vBCredits II Deluxe :)

Translation is not something we offer, but you can translate it yourself :)

Im using uCash 4.0.1 and the points data location is set to "TP.user.ucash". Would i put that also for this mod?

Hello, really amazing Mod from DBT tech as always. Just a quick note, I'm getting a, "invalid action" message when clicking on maintenance in the admincp. Any ideas?

man installing vbactivity for the rewards and level up plus with vbcredits you end up with two point systems..... i had to disable the whole stats for vbactivity because i couldnt disable the point system on its own... :(

When turning on "Gifts Display Style: Postbit" it overlaps other data. Any way to add a space in between?I couldn't tell, it's a problem with your custom style(s) unfortunately.

I created 2 different categories, however, both categories show under Item Shop and Gift Shop.

How do I remove the Duplicate (empty) Category listed under the Item Shop?

Basically, I would like to separate the Categories so they only show up a single time, like this:

vBShop v1.1.0 has been released, which fixes all known bugs as well as brings with it some new features, namely Bank, Stealing and Lottery.

I don't think there is a display for the completed lottery at this point in time. It is however PMed to the people who bought tickets, whether they won or lost and why / why not.

Can I request a way to batch add gifts? As in upload images to a directory, point the script at them, and just auto-fill the category/cost and have it get the gift title from the image filename.

Hi Iain,
Someone pointed this mod out to me suggetsing it may fit what I need.

Basically a shopping cart that is linked to the forum, it must do the following (as well as standard shopping cart stuff);
Allow admin to set discounts for the store based on usergroups etc
It is for a real product store, ie items bought will be shipped etc.

Is your mod anywhere close to this?

That is currently not possible, and vBShop does not support shopping carts yet. However, it is planned to be added to a future version - I'm unsure about physical shipping stuff, though.

I never used a point system, can i give all my members the points they deserve?

EX. person has 40 threads made and 200 posts.. but 0 points because i just started the shop... can i give him the points he will get if he was making the thread and posts now?

vBShop v1.2.0 has been released, and beyond fixing a security flaw it also brings the following changes based on your feedback:

Lite:
"Shop Type" setting in categories: Determines whether the category shows up in Gift Shop, Item Shop or both.

Category Permissions: The same level of usergroup permission configuring options you currently have with Items and Gifts can now also be set for Categories.

Pro:
Steal PM On/Off: A global switch for turning off the PM notification when you've been robbed. A future version will give a Notification that links to a list of thefts instead.

Per-Item PM sending on/off: Have some items that aren't as positive? Don't want a PM sent for certain items? Turn it off with this setting.

Email Notification on usergroup change: When someone else changes your username, you will now get an email notification about it.

Ability to turn email notification off: If you do not wish username changes to be announced, you can disable them with this setting.

Hi, I wanted this to user Reputation for points.

I set points table to "reputation" and I set points field to "reputation" .

I've installed the mod and think it will be a great addition to my site.

I was wondering if it's possible to add gifts that can be bought for other members. For example buying a dozen roses that go to another member and show up in either their postbits and/or profile. Obviously I need to upload an icon of roses for this but the ability to do this would be great.

What am I doing wrong?

Hello, First of all I just want to say that this is one our members favorite mods and of course ours as well. One thing though we have been coming across are some database errors when guests try to access the shop. They have been given permissions to view the shop but they get this when trying to access:

Can't say as I do, all I know is that the error isn't with any of vBShop's files.

Have you ever received it on any other page?
Even if not, I would still contact vBulletin Support on this. Just don't mention you got the error on a custom page, or they will blow you off like a less reputable lady of the night.

I found a strange problem.. Gift add script do not allow to create more than 1 gift items with same gift title, This is very unnecessary restriction, the previous gift mod that i used before doesn't have this restriction.

Think what we do if we want to add 5 or more birthday cakes? B'day cake 1, B'day cake 2, B'day cake 3, B'day cake 4, B'day cake 5 as title not good to display on front end.

Hope you remove this unnecessary restriction.

Afraid not, this isn't a shopping cart system, it's only designed for selling forum permissions and "gift" icons.

In future the pro versions of our vBShop and vBCredits mod will be able to be used to make real world transactions if you wish, but they will still not be a fully functional cart system.

The only way that error would have happened is if you somehow managed to remove vBShop from the database while not removing the product.

Please add
define('DISABLE_HOOKS', true);
to your config.php file, then remove the product from the AdminCP before removing that config.php edit.

Ok thank you, i forgot about "disable_hooks". I did that, removed the Product, than removed that config.php edit. Now vbshop is removed from Products. Now i get the same error again.

I tried again and thought, maybe i remove also vbcredits . But then i got an Database Error from vbcredits too.

What a great mod, thank you for making it this great =)

I checked it out and found their somethings if you add them the mod will be in anther level as I hope,

First of all, when you click purchase an item it's directly send you to the shop page, and this make you don't feel like you really bought something, so I suggest a page intermediate them so they will look like this:
Purchase -----> a page written in it " thank you " or whatever -----> the shop page.
this is really a simple thing but it will really make a difference.

second thing is the Items being infinite make them not that much have a value, because the user will see their is no need to rush in buying these items cuz when ever they want to buy them they will still be their, and this will kill the purpose in putting the market which is make a hyper activity in the users, so it will be great if we can decide in the number of each item in the market.

third, if their will be an expiration for the items we decide it, this will make easier for moderating the user with permission items, and that will make them return every time the items expire to buy a new one.

finally about the admin notification by pm when the user buy from the shop I read it's going be in future version, so is it high priority so we will see it in soon version or may it take time? because the admin notification is essential in my forum =)

Having aproblem with setting up signatures in the shop. When trying to edit sig in the usercp i get this error:

You have included a total of 0 images and/or videos in your message. The maximum number that you may include is -1. Please correct the problem and then continue again.

Images include use of smilies, the BB code [img] tag, and HTML <img> tags. Videos are included with the BB code [video] tag. The use of these is all subject to them being enabled by the administrator.

Any idea why?

FWIW i have bbcode disabled in sigs and want to keep it that way

Aha, in the postbit I believe you can use this to grab the bank amount:

$this->registry->userinfo['dbtech_vbshop_bank'] = doubleval($this->registry->userinfo['dbtech_vbshop_bank']);

And then in the templates refer to it as {vb:var bbuserinfo.dbtech_vbshop_bank} :)

To integrate with vBCredits II Deluxe, by default it's Points Table: user and Points Field: credits :)

Multi-Currency Support
Those of you interested in selling real-world items should find this a welcome change - you can now have a "special" currency that can only be used for purchasing your special items.
"Custom Field" Items (w/ purchase notification)
A new item type has been added, "Custom Item", which in the Lite version is used to house the previous "Gift" items that have no actual functionality. You can be notified when someone buys the item.
Revamped Shop Layout
One of the main problems of vBShop v1 was that the layout wasn't exactly stellar, and having Gifts and Items separate was confusing to members. Both these problems have been corrected for v2.
The layout uses AJAX for adding items to the shopping cart.
Revamped Purchase Process
It is now possible to buy more than one item in one go, via the use of a shopping cart. For that reason, we've split the "configuration" from the "purchase" process.
What this means is, say a member buys "Username Change". Upon completion of their purchase, they will be redirected to their inventory, where they can click "Configure" for the newly purchased item. This is the page that lets them actually change their username.
The main reason why we implemented this change is that it is now possible to set items to be re-usable. To follow up on the above example, a member may use the item to change their usernames multiple times (either infinitely, or until the item expires.)
Stock
Each individual shop can have its own individual stock (and price / currency) of an item.
The following features are missing from vBShop v1.x and will be restored over the course of the next couple weeks:

Lotteries
No data from existing lotteries will be carried over to the final incarnation of vBShop 2.0 lotteries due to the vast differences in data storage and functionality.

Hello! I'm loving the update! The only problem I am seeing with it is that mine only shows up to 6 items per page. When I go to change the Results Per Page it doesn't change anything. There are actually more items on the 2nd page than on the 1st. If I go to 'Sort By:' and select one of the options it then shows 11 of the items on the page, but in all I have 14 in that category. If I go to a different category with only a few items and only one page, it still shows that there is a second page and when I click on it it takes me to the second page of the first category.

Also, if I go to a category and select one of the 'Sort By:' options some of the items disappear as if it's only showing the most valuable one or the most bought items and not the rest.

I hope this all made sense. I am rather tired. Thank you for ready!

You accidentally uploaded the files wrong, please re-upload all vBulletin files and then re-upload the contents of the upload folder for vBShop to your forum root folder. Do not attempt to upload the folders within the upload/dbtech/vbshop folder separately.

Alright, I got the modification uploaded. It shows in adminCP and has a clickable link in the navbar. My next problem is when it's clicked in the navbar it takes me to a page that says 404 page not found. What should I do now?

Please make sure you loaded all the files to their proper location.

The page not found error is because the vbshop.php is not in the admincp folder.

Hey guys, just putting it out there, for who ever for whatever reason needs to change the hook location in the post bit for the items, just go to line 125 of postbit_display_complete.php and just replace postbit_userinfo_right_after_posts with whatever hook you want to use within the postbit or postbit legacy templates. If it's an outside hook you might have to render which ever template it's on. Any who hope it helps anyone.

hey, this is an amazing plugin i shall say. But the custom item feature i struggle on. I want to say add a custom item say, animated avatar, so users can purchase the permission to use animated avatars instead of needing me to add the permission to them. How would i go around doing this?

The "Post Thank You Hack" can modify that, when they thanks the poster will get a setup number of reputation point. I think we can do the same with this wonderful mod :).

I'm set the currency table to user, and the column is reputation.
It's show extracly the reputation point on vBShop main page, and when i buy something it's also effect to the point. Everything good but the point earn by new post/thread.

I changed the currency to credits instead of points but now it won't let me sell the item back. Is there a way to sell it like with the points currency but using vbCredits?

Edited to add: OK nevermind, I just re-saved the items and now it is showing. :P

hi, im currently using the lite version but wanting to get the pro.
Only problem is i dont want to have to re-do everything, shops,categories, items etc as ive spend a while on them.

also, im wanting to upgrade to the PRO version but i noticed there isnt a way to configure gifts in postbit. It only displays the last 5 purchased.

Is there a way to configure?

As someone can purchase a gift for you and it knocks one off

nice one, ill be buying the pro version soon. Only thing i worry about is if i upgrade will i lose all my current items/shops etc...
ive upgraded before with the lite and i lost everything and had to spend hours setting it back up.

also, any plans for the next version?
