Go into "Manage Moods" and you should see each of your moods. If you do not have any you will need to add some. You may have forgotten to import your moods which you can do via the "Import / Export Moods" section using the XML file supplied in the download.

All things work except, that changing the mood doesn't work form post bit legacy template, however it does work at profiles.

Put the moods in category and the drop down opens, but it doesnt get selected.

Did you flush your browser cache also? It's possible that old files could have been left in the cache

Just to add, you could use clear.gif for empty mood, as this mod doesn't allow disabling moods after you choose one. You could name this mood 00emtpy (or something like that) for sorting purposes, that places it at the top of moods list.

You need to edit file: /dbtech/status/hooks/postbit_display_complete.php

You have this line twice, you'll need to change it on both places:

$template_hook ['postbit_userinfo_left'] .= $mood->render ();

You can use first next hook (it's not right after avatar) postbit_userinfo_right_after_posts, or you can create your own hook right after avatar in your postbit (probably legacy, but it could be in either templates)

For example, right after avatar in postbit legacy template you create hook to look like this:

{vb:raw template_hook.postbit_right_after_avatar}

Hook name is intentionally descriptive, it could be different, whatever you like, but you need to know what name you use.

After that change line on both places to suite to hook you'll use.

If you want to use existing hook:

$template_hook ['postbit_userinfo_right_after_posts'] .= $mood->render ();

Or newly created just after avatar:

$template_hook ['postbit_right_after_avatar'] .= $mood->render ();

Mind names of hooks and that's it. :up:

This works exactly as described but I do have one question. Is there anyway to censor a word in status? I have a couple user's who have taken it upon themselves to get rid of their custom titles and then put "Administrator" and the like in the status. I don't want to use the censored words option inside vbulletin for this because it will censor the word across my whole board.

The Status sidebar block is viewable by guests. Where would I wrap a conditional to prevent them from seeing it? Guests aren't allowed anywhere else where status is displayed.

I installed this mod and really like it better than the other one for moods we were using, but there's this a small draw back and I am hoping someone can tell me how to get rid of it. The last mood of "wtf" is something many of my users find distasteful. I took out the image, but can't get rid of the words in the display of the list of moods.
How can I edit that out?

I was using that mod as well, and I did like it as well. But the images on this one is better and the added benefit of the status is worth it to switch for me. I'm using this mod on 4.1.4; so it does work on forums after the update. Have you tried re-uploading it and over write? That's what I would do first thing is I thought it was the update, and knew other 4.1.4 users have no problems with it.

P.S. These are free mods, so I am sure the developers do everything possible, but you still have to remember it's free and we aren't paying to have these things. I do use the donate on some mods to help them out and show my appreciation, but it's not much compared to how much time I am sure they put in. Patience is the key to happiness in everything you do in life, especially when dealing with others. Sometimes I see the rudest posts in these types of threads and it really puzzles me that so many people think they are owed so much in these free products. The way I look at it, is I'll either wait or disable the mod until it is fixed. My members also get spoiled, but they got a great leader! lol

1.3.6 PL1 does not work and destroyed thread's pages (inside the thread).

Nice men, I hope you will check select moods function again, AJAX not work with me (on Firefox and Chrome).

The first category will show like that, empty. Add more categories and the images will show on the other ones. What I did as a temporary fix, was to add an empty category as the first one. All other categories show fine and show the images. Te bug is that is not showing the first category in the list.

it goes into "admincp> DBTech - User Status> Import / Export Moods"

this way you dont have to "add new mood" one by one. this will add them all in one minute

How do I add 1 single mood to an existing or new category, instead of using an XML?

I had this mod working *perfect* .. had it patched, ajax working cross browser, beautiful.

But, now I've installed it on another forum, it's not working, and I think it's b/c of this simple step b/c everything else is accounted for.

Did you drop the patch (status.js) into the: dbtech/status/clientscript folder - overwriting the old status.js?

I'm not quite sure which problem you're having, but as far as I know, the patch is for correcting the ajax dropdown menu. I don't (think) it fixes any other problem.

I must have, as I overwrote ALL the local files with the ones in the update folder, so I assume an update would include this javascript file, as it was this that the developer gave me the download link for.

Yes, my problem is that the moods to not appear in the dropdown.

EDIT > Whoops... I missed the status file, it was an additional download in another thread. Now it's working fine.

I've dropped and dragged all the folders in the upload folder to my forums folder and when I try to import the xml file it says a file is missing, which I've been told means that I've uploaded things wrong. When installing this mod the thread bit is scrwewewd up in the default vBulletin skin.

That will give you access to these variables for use in your postbit/_legacy templates:

Turn off the original Postbit Integration plugin from USM when ready, or swap between them. Should be safe from upgrades as well. :)

I've read and i dont see the issue im currently having. If the developer or anyone else with any ideas wants to help, i'd gladly listen.

So mod was working Great vb.4.1.5 i cannot tell you when or why it stopped working.
But when u click to change your Mood i can see all the icons but when you CLICK to select one. Nothing happens.

I've uninstalled whole mod xml, re-added files, installed new xml same issue.

So im assume maybe some template code would fix it. but im not sure. any ideas?

Mine's working fine on vB Suite 4.1.7 with 4 mood categories and about 350 mood images.

Check that you don't have "Hotlink Protection" enabled in cPanel or whatever system you use.

Not sure if this would affect it but worth a try.

Yes you can add the mood, load the image to your images/moods/colorfolder, or you can add a new folder in images/moods foldet to load your img to.

Then in acp User Status select add new mood, and follow the prompts there.

I had to give the name to each mood from the images I uploaded to my VB installation.

Ok, thank you very much, the first part I got it, now I need to position the state on the same line dl (Nick, online status) to make it like the picture, I tried various configurations with CSS but I always stay in top nick and attached to the avatar.

I looked at your site, you have one empty td, where was user online status in my example. You could delete it, it should work without it.

About your question, I'm not sure. Do you ask how to have everything left of avatar vertically centered with avatar? If that's so, you could try to use this CSS option:

vertical-align: middle;

Put it in postbit.css (in your templates), find .postbit .username_container { and place it inside curly braces.

Not sure if it will work.

Hi Im having a lot of problems when I install your mods, I recentrly installed 1.User status and moods and 2.Posbit Tabs , when I try to access to the cp , I get errors like these Fatal error:

the issue is its on first install, so i cant install this mod properly until i know what it is, it throws up a database error otherwise

Installed for the first time in 4.1.10 and it is not working properly.
I can set the status, but when I click to get the image, I am given "default category" to click on, but when I click on it, only a small border line shows up. There's no way to select an icon.

EDIT: Figured it out. I had to go and import the status-export xml file from import/export moods. Working now. Thanks!

I searched this mod and can't find the solution to my issue.

I found that you can't change your mood or Status on the Profile page, but still can within the Postbit when using 4.2.0

I installed the Hack and everythng works fine, accept it wont let me have access to Settings, Moods import/export or any other option on the tree, is it because i am only an Admin and not a Super Admin, we have tried to enable myself by putting a check in the Admin box but its a no-go, what are we doing wrong?

Ok i fixed that, i had created a new category and placed the Moods there and it wouldnt show them until i deleted the default category, all good with that.

Whats annoying is it being ignored until you have helpful response, logic dictates a response so i know you have seen it, otherwise i have no idea.

Whats annoying is it being ignored until you have helpful response, logic dictates a response so i know you have seen it, otherwise i have no idea.Even if I hadn't seen it - if DBTech was a one-man studio and I was away on holiday, for instance, and returned 7 days later with a post + 7 bump posts - what good would the bumps have done?

If we had a set schedule for checking vBulletin.org threads, and didn't have email alerts on replies enabled, what good would the bumps have done?

Don't get me wrong, I do understand that you want your post addressed, but I don't understand why anyone would bump a vBulletin.org support thread.
From my point of view, someone bumping a support thread for a free modification - especially when we have repeatedly stated, and state in the OP of every mod, that using our forums is the best way to get quick support - is someone demanding their issue looked at A.S.A.P. because their issue is more important than whatever I am doing that day / that hour.

I meant no offense with my previous post, or with this post, I'm simply trying to foster an understanding between our two different point of views :)

We prefer support threads in our own support forums for multiple reasons:
a) Multiple threads is easier to deal with than a single thread
b) We have vastly superior notification & tracking capabilities
c) We have AJAX reloading of the forum list that reflects new posts

In short, it's vastly easier to provide support on our own forums - for that reason, vBulletin.org threads get put on the back-burner and I tend to clean them up once every couple of days or whenever I'm finished with my work at a time that's not 3AM :)

does this have any known conflicts with other plugin's?....I keep getting an 500 internal server/mis-configuration issues when going into DBTech- user status section in ACP...I know its not a memory issue as I have 256m php limit. This is the only menu item that gives me this error.

Please check your Apache's error_log - this is most commonly found in /usr/local/apache/logs/error_log although it can vary by system.

nevermind the pencil icon is there....just invisible for some reason. if you float mouse directly across from the "moods" title where yellow circle is...the "hand" shows up indicating you are hovering over "pencil"....which remains invisible. it is visible in the post-bit though...

Check the two screenshots you added. I don't have these options on my forum and mod is enabled. But i'm 100% sure that something is wrong with my custom style, needs to be fixed. Because mod works on other styles. I have the same issues with some other mods from vb.org like mod is enabled but i don't see any options in postbit, profile page etc.

vB5's postbit is not as easily modifiable as vB3/vB4, so this is definitely on the back burner as far as vB5 is concerned.

It appears as if you have uploaded the files incorrectly. Please drag and drop the contents of the upload folder (use Ctrl+A to select all files) to your public_html folder. :)

I deleted the files I uploaded and tried again, with no joy. Every time I turn the mod on. (on the test site) It brings down our forum. even though none of the files have been uploaded to my live site :confused:

i've noticed that if i upload two of your plugins this one and the activity and awards there is a file in the core folder that gets overwritten, which one should i keep to make both work?

That is not actually the case.

Please upload the contents of the "upload" or "forum" folder to the folder your forum files reside in, exactly as described. Do not attempt to manually place the files in their respective folders. Do not attempt to upload the mod using cPanel's file transfer manager, use a "real" FTP program.

First you upload them to the dbtech file(something like this: public_html>dbtech>images>moods>blue) containing the present moods on your server then go to admincp>DB-Tech user status>manage moods and scroll down to the bottom and actually add each mood.
