I cannot reproduce the bug you reported. Could you explain in detail the error. Include things like your browser, version of PHP, whether you have any template edits on the page it is not working, whether you use any javascript compression mods and if you have javascript enabled. Check and recheck if you have uploaded all files in the correct place. The more information you give me the easy I can get this working for you. No other users are reporting the problems you have so I'm guessing it is something very specific to your site/setup.

For those of you having issues with the blank mood box, could you please make sure you have follow the steps in the following video. If you are still having problems after that please report it here.

Moods show up on dropdown but are still unselectable.

It looks like another mod is conflicting with it.

Let me weed it out ;)

*EDIT - Its ragarcia87 MOTW mod - One of the calls is to a websites API - this probably conflicts it. Users of that mod need to downgrade.

The upload folder refers to the folder your forum is in. It is the one with admincp, includes, images, etc. Just upload the files and folders in the upload folder to their. You then need to import the file in the XML folder in your adminCP (Product Manager section).

To be fair David, I explained the issue over a month ago which you acknowledged without prodding for any further information........

Since then, you've also suggested an upcoming fix would resolve my issue. Again, acknowledging you're aware of the bug. Telling me to hold tight and wait. With that in mind, it was pretty safe to assume further information wasn't needed.

I've already explained that I've checked, reinstalled/updated your product many times to ensure all are correct.

I can't really explain the error in any more detail. I even provided an account for you to login an test the error.

Try disabling your mods and hacks one by one.. Test your status works/not works each time.

Long process.. but you will be able to identify which modification is conflicting with the status/mood mod.

*Note - Just had a peek at your forum.. Theres a lot of javascripts pulling in info for your Forumhome banner or whatever that promo you got going on there. Turn that off. ;)

i had same problem mate. in the admin cp home page it said there was a conflict when merging templates attached to this mod.

i reverted them and mod worked fine after that

dont know if that helps

To be fair David, I explained the issue over a month ago which you acknowledged without prodding for any further information........

Since then, you've also suggested an upcoming fix would resolve my issue. Again, acknowledging you're aware of the bug. Telling me to hold tight and wait. With that in mind, it was pretty safe to assume further information wasn't needed.

I've already explained that I've checked, reinstalled/updated your product many times to ensure all are correct.

I can't really explain the error in any more detail. I even provided an account for you to login an test the error.

I had found a bug like the one you mentioned and had that fixed in the latest version. I had assumed that your issue was fixed in that.

I've just had another look at your site with the javascript error console open and have found that you have several javascript errors on your page. I have also poked through your source code and found nothing irregular on the mods part. This leads me to believe that the errors in the error console are the root of your problem.

I am sorry about the confusion on my end! Sifting through these bug reports is a nightmare! Take a look at your error console and try get those errors fixed (you can view it on Google Chrome and Firefox by pressing Ctrl + Shift + J).

Not sure what else I can do to make this work.

When I tried to solve the above by uninstalling and installing the product I get multiple criteria as shown in the attachment below.

Also noticed in the left of the admin the three links bring up 404 error not found when clicking (manager,import,criteria)

Please ensure that you have all files uploaded and make sure you have followed the steps in this video: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6R3GLxmlmVo. A 404 error for any of the above usually means that the file is not uploaded.

Completely. The mod works, just not in postbit. It displays perfectly, just not able to change mood in postbit. Status changes fine in all locations.

You could try moving the contents of the dbtech_status_postbit and dbtech_status_mood_postbit templates into the postbit/postbit_legacy template.

Note: This is not tested or confirmed to work. The next version should have placement options.

I am aware of this issue and it will be fixed for the next version. In the meantime you can just ignore it. It won't break anything and is not visible to users.

You haven't uploaded the files to the correct location. Make sure you are uploading them to your forum root (the folder that has /admincp, /images, /include, etc.

The upload folder refers to the folder your forum is in. It is the one with admincp, includes, images, etc. Just upload the files and folders in the upload folder to their. You then need to import the file in the XML folder in your adminCP (Product Manager section).

As a free mod, this User Status & Moods is to me, one of your best. I love it and so do the people on my board. Only problem I have with it so far is that I cannot find out how to to wrap the status and mood in my postbit legacy.

You need to upload the files to the correct place otherwise the errors will continue. Once all the files are in the correct place the errors will disappear.

Did you upload the /includes/xml file provided with the mod?

You can change that "I am" part in vBulletin Options.

I like your mod very much and have a suggestion:
in the status changes display tab of the profile view the list entries should be displayed with a background like the visitor messages (css-class userprof_vmright) or the about-me tab (css-id view-aboutme).

At the moment the status updates are not readable if you use a background image or custom background color in your profile.

This is already implemented :) You just need to activate it by going to the widget manager for your sidebar in the admincp. You should see a new widget there.

i installed version 1.3.6. From the time i install it, when i try to enable/disable/uninstall any product i see the following error. Invalid argument specified ./includes/class_block.php on line 592. Also, at editor, video image where it loads up a windows and you enter videos, doens'e even load, also at editor too, when i click the icon that changes between editors mode it doesn't work. That's all i found in a fast look. I don't know if it causes any more breaks because i disable it asap. Please provide me a fix. Thanks!

Ok took your advice from earlier post and looked at the path the links were calling. seemed dbtech_status.phpWasnt being copied for some reason. So opened its root and copied it to its root and it works. then reinstalling removed the triple text. Hoping it all works now!

Ok I know what happened, although I am not sure how it happened. During one of the updates to either this Mod or VBulletin, it removed the default category (which is where I kept all my moods). It now shows N/A for that category name where the moods were. I only figured this out because I had removed a mood and went in to change it to show another mood and it listed it in a "new" default category.

The other user that was having the same problem as me should probably go check their moods and see if they are still in fact assigned to the categories they originally put them in. My guess is they were all renamed N/A during an update.

No I didn't create a category. They all are placed in the default category. But for some reason during one of the upgrades the default category was renamed N/A (actually I can't even delete the N/A category which was the default category). I had to click edit next to each mood and then click save. Once I did that it starting working again.

I am not sure if it helps, but I updated this mod and vbulletin at the same time. However, I was having the same issue before I updated vbulletin (I was running 4.0.8) and before I updated the mod to the lastest version. I am assuming then, that the problem occured before this mods latest update (although I do not remember what version I had installed before updating it to 1.3.6 (I noticed it but was to busy at the time to try and figure out what happened).

4.1.1 CONFIRMED working also if anyone like myself was running the actual VMOODS, you can grab the .gif images from that one and put into the /images/moods/blue folder , this will add alot of xtra moods . in other words great for dif choices and i like the moving .gif images .

OK, i just re-uploaded and imported the XML.
Now i can't change my mood anymore in a user-profile or postbit.
Clicking on the pencil iconshows me the categories but when i click a categorie i get an empty menu.

You can turn the Moods off in the Admin Control Panel Settings

After updating to latest version i am getting a problem. My old mods aren't working.I have backed up the old moods, after upgrade i found that old moods are without category. and when i go for add them to category i dont see the image there, i see only defult images there. How to solve this ?

Man I must say this is one great mod. I have just started using mods (Lite) from DBTech and I will be getting the pro versions for all of them over time. DBTech keep up the great work.

Every DBTech mod I have installed has never given me any issues no matter the vers of the mod or of vBulletin.

Why is it that when I click the DBTech's Thanks Likes Dislikes .... your User Status and Moods become hidden? (When I refresh the page, the Status and Moods become visible again)

Is it the problem of THANKS LIKES DISLIKES or is it on your code?

APTL refreshes the post every time the button is clicked, so it's not a certainty that it's possible to fix it.

If you open up the file /dbtech/status/hooks/postbit_display_complete.php and go to line 33 you will see the following:

$template_hook['postbit_userinfo_left'] .= $status->render();

You can alter the postbit_userinfo_left bit to whatever hook you want status to be displayed in. I hope this helps!

That would indicate that you do not have all the files uploaded in the correct places. Please check that all files are uploaded and try importing again! :)

Sorry I forgot to tell you I got it working. Strange thing my admin permissions were set to no to show the options in the cp. Had to have another admin change my permissions! Works great now! Thanks for your help.

I've uploaded a fix that displays the profile blocks for status and mood correctly on customised profiles. Simply re-import the product file setting overwrite to "Yes" to apply this fix. This only effects vB4 boards.

It's a nifty mod but it seems to have been a noticeable drag on page load times. For now, I've disabled it. Thanks though, for the mod. I may give it another go sometime.

Please excuse the late reply! We have a mood pack available to purchase on our site that contains a number of colours for the moods. Users are also invited to create their own moods! It is not limited to just the moods we provide for free! :)

Upload the mood image to /images/moods/ then add it via the Mood Manager in your AdminCP.

I could not find a way to do that, so I creating a transparent 95 (width) by 1 (height) pixel image so they could have that. The 95 corresponds with the width of our other images. However, despite it being only 1 pixel in height, it shows up as high as the others - which many users who want to not have a mood set don't like. Takes up too much space in the postbit.

Is there anything in the settings or that I could do to give them that option without it taking up so much space? Kind of like how it is when you start on the forums and don't have a mood.

Any help is much appreciated. ^^

You could make images smaller, they don't need to be 95px.

Didn't try, but it may satisfy your needs.

You have same text on image for enraged.png and hateful.png. These are different moods, but text on image is the same. So outside they look like same mood.

I'll look into adding a blank option in future. For now you could probably make the image 1x1 px. I believe the mood it set when you click the menu row and not the image. This should allow you to do what you are looking for :)
