Nasty URL (i just randomly selected a thread. )Im wanting to take out the
"&p=9005" there.

Edit showthread.php? Or ?

I know Shawn did this on DigitalPoint.

It is the postid, not the threadid.

And why would you want to get rid of it?

I meant postid sorry! I haven't slept yet...LOOK at the URL, its calling the post twice.

Thats more better. showing it twice is just not good.

They both lead to the same thing. I want to get rid of it though.

Not really. The first would fail if the post is on the second page of a thread.

With showthread.php the threadid could be ommited when the postid is provided.
If you want to remove a postid then it would need to be the #post9005. This will probably still work, although i am not sure of that would work in all circumstances.

Well it never used to be like that until i upgraded to vBulletin 4.

That URL in first post - Thats how it shows up in Google.
