Get Rid Of &p=postid ?
Code:
http://forum.vbdiscussions.com/showthread.php?t=7997&p=9005#post9005 "&p=9005" there. Edit showthread.php? Or ? I know Shawn did this on DigitalPoint. |

It is the postid, not the threadid.
And why would you want to get rid of it? |

I meant postid sorry! I haven't slept yet...LOOK at the URL, its calling the post twice.
Code:
http://forum.vbdiscussions.com/showthread.php?t=7997#post9005 Code:
http://forum.vbdiscussions.com/showthread.php?t=7997&p=9005 |

Not really. The first would fail if the post is on the second page of a thread.
With showthread.php the threadid could be ommited when the postid is provided. If you want to remove a postid then it would need to be the #post9005. This will probably still work, although i am not sure of that would work in all circumstances. |

It has always worked like that.
See for example here on vBulletin.org: Correct (should bring up the last post in the thread): https://vborg.vbsupport.ru/showthrea...87#post2017787 https://vborg.vbsupport.ru/showthread.php?p=2017787 https://vborg.vbsupport.ru/showthrea...2335&p=2017787 https://vborg.vbsupport.ru/showthrea...87#post2017787 Incorrect (does not bring up the last post): https://vborg.vbsupport.ru/showthrea...35#post2017787 |
