Tournament comment pages still not working.

Its a league request really, But it can be used as a tournament also i dare say

So basically say 5 people race over 5 circuits

First = 10 points
2nd = 8 points
3rd = 6 points
4th = 4 points
5th = 2 points

Player A finishes say 1st, 2nd, 1st, 3rd and 4th for last map
He would end up with a total of 38 points

Player B finishes say 3rd, 4th, 4th, 5th and 3rd for last map
He would end up with a total of 22 points

And so on so we would end up with all 5 players with the table placing the highest in first,etc,etcJust like formula 1 racing
This could be used the exact same for Free For All in say 5 week leagues on games

I know some opensource systems that runs double elim tournaments, maybe u could look at there algorithm?

Stats in profile doesn't seem to be updating. Team stats are true (1 entered, 1 won) however the in the players profiles, it has 0 entered, 0 won.

I was running a 16 player dB elim yesterday and ran into some issues ...

There was no submit scores for the players, no regress player botton, and it wasnt possible to swap players at the beginning. Dont know if its supposed to be like this ?

Player replaced would probably require additional modifications etc... but certainly a great feature!

When into knockout stages after using groups, we still have the problem that its random, instead of winner of group 1 versus runner up of group 4 for example, the draw needs to be split and winner v runner up, or we need to be able to manually add who plays who when it goes from groups to knockouts.

Also for teams entering tournaments they cannot enter a result, when we have so many teams or players it is much easier if teams and players could enter the results then have it approved by a member of staff to make things function much faster.

when we run a league into knockout there is no swap players function in the knockout( in case of an error) and players cant submit scores.

When you change the group names in the settings it dosnt reflect through the system. So when i look at my matches it shows group no 1, 2 and 3 instead of the new names i have chosen. And the first match it shows is round 3 and the second is round 2, wouldn't it be better to show the matches in order? or am i missing the logic?

With this being set to 4 players it should be set to 4 races and each race each player should be able to submit where they finished

There should also be an option to set specific days for each race to be played

If possible it should allow the standings to show how many kills, deaths and difference for say games like COD,etc

Any info of the above or how to use this feature ?

The first part of this is pretty important, when running a group into knockout stages it does not reward the winner of a group just randomly throws two group winners together, is there any chance this could be fixed somehow to allow it to be manually kinda like we can move folk around groups before it starts, we can move the teams around in the knockout stage before it starts.

Create an 8 player tournament. Once 5 players have joined you can click Start Tournment.

Also once you create a tournament there are buttons to adjust tournament size.

It starts with whatever amount you put in.. Just do the math yourself..
Start them with 3 points, & edit after each round.
I used to use that for a similar tournament, just edit each persons points after each event/round. It sorts them by point total, so it keeps the winner on top that way.

Once everyone has entered & you "Start" the tournament, there will be edit buttons/links that you can edit each persons score/points, then after each round you just do the math yourself, & it reorganizes them according to point totals. (higher score is in the lead so if they still have 3 points they would be ahead of someone with only 2 points or lower) :)

This one is nothing like the Arcade mod mate,This allows you to run your own Ladders and competitions on any game/Console/Pc and record or Set out the Draws and leagues etc

It's more of an organizer, displaying fixtures/results/etc for running tournaments/leagues/ladders/etc.

So ibarcade you can have a tournament of one of your arcade games, whilst this modification you could organise whatever you like (e.g. xbox tournament, race) and then submit results into system.

Can double elimination tournaments not have more than 8 teams still? I was searching through the update notes and it seems like it was implemented in past versions, but ours still isn't work despite running 6.0.0.

Is that a feature only available in Premium or is it still not available at all? We wanted to get our tournament going ASAP, so I'd appreciate any info you have.

The way single elimination tournament brackets work, they need to be as 4 players, 8, 16, 32 players,etc.
Bye players are just like place holders

What I am thinking in my head: "If I could left align the image to match up with the Uncategorised Tournaments, then I could determine the appropriate pixel width to reach the uncat ladder edge and make it look like a perfect fit. Does that help?

The amount of teams that you selected have to be and even "rooted" number as I call it. If you have 12 teams, then you have 6 after round one, then 3 after round two(this is your issue), 1 team has no one to play which results in an error.)

If it was 16,8,4,2,Winner! Then it would be just fine. Hope that helps :)

I have a singles ladder and when players create a challenge if they do not specifically put the time in a certain way the challenge does not show up correctly, they get no error ect..

But i can see it in all challenges and delete it ect ....

It looks like you need to reduce padding/margin on left then it will align with uncategorised tournaments.

I think I found a solution for future changes. If you would allow for a Height entry and Width entry instead of just a category pixel of height and width which now have to be the same size. If I make it 300px then it spaces the categories out too much.

Before I start fiddling has anyone else experienced this and can give any clues as to what may be causing it?

Agreed, the League stuff shouldn't be tied to tournaments or ladders except maybe to get some ladder xp for winning, like tournaments.

A league should be a completely separate thing..

Leagues are an ongoing competition, with seasons (that can be tied together or not), but much less complicated. (think sports.. NFL, MLB, Futbol, etc.. Shooter clans will work just as well, just easier to picture how it would be set up using real life scenario)
Tournaments are a one time entity. (Could be similar to a league, in that it may have rounds, but not seasons)
Ladders are for whatever amount of time you like.. kind of like a Hall of Fame for whatever time period you set. :)


I can't even imagine how much work this stuff is to create & edit to make changes etc, so don't take this as anything but idea/suggestion. :up:

Really have to have a way for users to submit there own scores for teams, also from league into knockout stages doesn't work poperly, it randomly just puts teams together instead of winner of group 1 plays runner up of group 4 or whatever so there is no reward for winning a group.

Whenever I click the add button, it just takes me to the league for the current category. When I click add there, it just refreshes the current page. any thoughts?

i noticed there isn't a way for the team leader to remove player from the team other than to delete the team. this could cause some problems on sign up's. leader and co-leader should be able to remove players also.

also i notice if a team gets deleted in a tournament bracket the name stay in the slot of the bracket even though the team doesn't exist. if you click on the team it says it is a invalid team. even if a other team signs up to a reserve sign up due to a team dropping out. i didn't see a way to add that reserve team to the slot of the team dropping out nor did i see a function for a team to drop out.

Depending on the size double elimination tournaments may display slightly differently.

Double elimination size limit is 16 players/teams.

Anyway some issues here

I created a group play for 8 players as this was an option

There should be an option to select which group each player goes in
Each group there should be the options to enter each fixtures score rather than just promote 1 person so each group has played, won,drawn,etc,etc

So as stating i created the event and it never let me chose how many groups should be in it and it just made 3 groups up randomly

I progressed a player from group 1 and 2 to the next round but when i try to for the 3rd group it does not progress them, It just put a W at the side

Current mod version creates errors all over. When clicking on Rating it is busted. When adding text to rounds it saves, but then takes away the brackets on tournaments, and there is no way to revert or correct. When closing tournament under edit option it takes away brackets and there is no way to revert or correct. Please look into issues and update, ty.

League doesnt work as when you click on Recent Matches, Upcoming Matches and Your Matches it reverts back to just a random page on the site. Ie, www.mysite.com/?do=view&id=3&sh=2
thus I cannot use league as I can enter scores as the link is wrong or is it because of my mod rewrite for seo friendly url...


Round Robin works but it only allows three digits in the scoring but for I need four digits as mine is fantasy footy and alos when you insert the number and the height is not high enought as the number is cut. The important thing is the 4 digits. in scoring such as 2,500 pts v 3100pts

Single Elimination:

You could make an archive folder for each, but i hear ya, then it can get really cluttered.
I hardly ever go back & look at archives, so one archive folder works fine.

Would be cool if it automatically put stuff into a separate place xx days after marked "finished"
Then maybe into an archive folder after a year. (or something along those lines)

But all that "auto" stuff is just asking for more problems. lol

Feature request: I would like to see scores able to be submitted by teams or individual ladder users, both would need to submit results for it to be approved. It can be left pending until it is approved by an admin then we can see if the scores clash. I am more than sure many users using this system would like to see some sort of automated scoring system as entering it when you have 128 participants for example can be extremely time consuming.

The tournament system only works with teams/players in a 4,8,16,32,64 or 128

This is due to how each players progresses to the next round and in order for the tournament to work

You can randomly let the event organise the 'Bye' players or do it yourself like other events where the better teams/players miss round 1 and the lesss known/skilled teams/players play round 1

When i create a Round Robin each round and group can be re-named but when i did, It saved it via the edit event but it does not show in the event itself

Also is it possible to include rounds in the L:MS events so you can see the round scores ?

I use it for 8 players who play over 5 maps on a game
Each map the total kills are taken and added
After each map the kills are added up and after the full 5 maps the winner is the player with most kills

I would like it so each round can be added and it show the scores of those rounds if possible

When i create a category with only tournaments and leagues, if i un-check the ladders from the category it no longer shows the leagues ? I have to have the leagues, ladders and tournaments all checked for it to show the leagues...

Is there a setting im missing ?

If i check all 3 the leagues show, if i un-check ladders, leagues dont show and if i un-check ladders and tournaments the leagues dont show either...

Would be awesome to get this in place for it.

Also when you fix this could you maybe add a way to move these sections to one side or the other.

My competition is gonna be the same as the European champions league which has a group stage and then a knock out stage. The way it is the knock out stage is on the far right and the leagues/groups part is on the left, should be the other way around lol :D

Im doing a competition where by there will be a group stage which uses the league part and the winners progress to a knock out part which uses the tournament part. So they are the wrong way around...

I basically want the group stage on the left and the knock out stage on the right ... Can i move them some how ?

@BananaLive - I wonder if you could tell me if there is a query I could place for how many tournaments (total) and how many teams (total) there are within the tournament section, I'm creating a stat bar and would like it to show how many teams we have and how many tournaments are running (past and present) which will automatically update due to the proper queries being called.
