Nope havent created any block i followed steps till here

Installation:


1. Download plugin. If you are using vb4.1.11 or above download the "cssrollup_everywhere_sidebar.xml" and upload "cssrollup_everywhere_sidebar.xml" to /includes/xml directory.

2. Login to your vBulletin admincp.

3. Open "Plugins & Products", and go to "Manage Products".

4. Click on "[Add/Import Product]".

5. Import the XML file that you download. Make sure you set "allow
overwrite" to "yes".

Optional steps for setting different blocks for different forums and pages:

6. Go to mod options
Admincp->Settings->options->EveryWhere Sidebar (ESB) options

7. Go down until you see "Block Configuration Switch" check "yes" and save.


8. Go to you forum home you will see all your blocks even the empty ones with blockid below each blcok as in this picture.

The mobile style is broken even with the latest ESB Gold version that I just installed.

If I turn ESB off then the mobile style workes perfectly.

So there is some problem with ESB interfering with the mobile style on my forum.
No one else has this issue??????

Don't know, what i want to say is since it is working on similar forum and not working on the other you may need to check why you are having problem with it. Is it because of the style like: are you using the default style? if yes maybe for someting else like 3d party block!

I just thought I would have one last look at the problem.
I turned off each forum block one at a time and tested the mobile style.
As soon as the last block was turned off the mobile stlye started to work correctly.

As soon as I turn any one of the blocks on it breaks the mobile style.

Is there anything else you can suggest I check please?

...no time to check the free version. All the time I have detecated to the payed version for now at least. They've done a major changes to the sidebar can't blame them though!

Product uninstalled. Users aren't missing it anyway and if you're going to lag support to the free version I don't really want to have to keep messing with it and getting user complaints.

Hi - I installed this on my test forum and everything was working fine, however the sidebar widget from DBTech's Forum Live Feed & User Wall (https://vborg.vbsupport.ru/showthread.php?t=278742) does not show up.

If you're using HTML blocks (especially <li> tag), you could notify that 1.5.0 broke your footer. Here's how to fix this:

Go to Plugins -> Modules, find module "sidebar_global", edit it:

um, I'm not quite sure why, in the latest gold release (2.2.4), you changed parse_templates and the associated hook to "xparse_templates". If you don't need it anymore why not just remove it or make it blank?

Whilst playing with some settings I found the ESB Gold setting that was stopping my mobile style from working!

As you said and as I said before there are so many options to play with. Depends on the vbulletin version these options may work for some but not all. You need to take sometime setting the options that suite your forums.

Do you use a Twitter widget? I used to but after the last ESB update the twitter widget makes the CKeditor text box disappear (most likely a javascript issue).

These are a couple of issue that have been broke with the Free ESB that worked prior to upgrading both ESB and vBulletin to 4.1.10 on my end

The "installed" link was selected when I added the css rollup xml file yesterday. It's showing that it was marked as installed on my end

Even if i set the style to test when going to other form/page the style will change back. I think your forum templates are heavily altered. You may test by changing the mod options like force stylesheet or onload option but that is the best I can think of. Also you are sure you have created blocks and the default sidebar is working!

I disabled every Mod that I have individually and the "default" vBulletin sidebar menu appeared at least. When I made ESB the only Mod enabled, the default didn't work and neither did ESB.

I have in the past have had vbulletin updates not completely overwrite or erase files during the process as it should. Could there be an old file, vbulletin fuile conflicting by any chance? It seems weird though, since this worked outside of the collapsing issue on vB 4.1.10

I got it to work. I uninstalled and re-installed ESB and it is working, I do have an issue with alignments that i didn't have before where the text isn't wrapping around the the avatars?

I've also setup a plain default style and disabled all the other mods and we're still getting the annoying (can't close) issue.

There is no hidden link it is using the the vbulletin footer style. You need to be accurate with your statments.

Yes the Gold is working fine but off-course it's continuly updating for enhancment and other issues.

I want to update the Lite today before tomorow but it's just a matter of the free time I have.Upadating the Lite is not by copying the Gold code to the Lite, they are deffers in their code engine. I hope I will manage to update it after the release of 4.1.12.

I'm using phpBB because it is free and vbulletin is too advance for such small website. But again am using vbulletin forums for other websites.

I have entered the style id in the "Excluded styles" box but it still shows up on the mobile style.

If I enter the regular style id in that box it will stop showing up on desktop style so I know that it works. But won't do it for mobile style. Any suggestions?

I bought the gold version and everything looks good except... My ad code I place in the block (adpeeps) scrunches the ads together. In a vBadvanced module they will space correctly but in the ES block they smash together.

Ok Guys This bug is valid in the free AND gold versions so Starting from vb4.1.11 if you want to enable "Store CSS Stylesheets as Files?" you need to upload "cssrollup_everywhere_sidebar.xml" to /includes/xml directory.

This is related to store style as file. You need to make sure to chmod the vbulletin_css directory to 777. You make sure that file styleXXXXX does exist after switching store to file Off then On. Also if any user/search engine cached the old pages it will still give this error as it is looking for old deleted styleXXXX directory.

Dear penmai.com the problem as I expalin for you is with store css as file on your forum. It is not related with the mod. As I said before some people post similar issue to yours on vbulletin.com so you need to know why it is happeing to your forum. Deleting css direcetory will just make it wors as any cached pages will produce more log errors. Sorry I can't help you with this prob and can't explain better than this.

Guys this may fix the problem you are facing but it is not very good approch for vbulletin future updates.
If you follow the installation steps it should work. Things to remeber:
1. To enable store css as file read here https://www.vbulletin.com/docs/html/stylemanager_css_as_file
2. Make sure to upload the cssrollup_everywhere_sidebar.xml to the correct directory
3. Enable and disable the product or even remove then install the product if it is not working

There seems to be an issue that for a few seconds on page load, when a user has the sidebar set to collapse, there is a big strip where the sidebar is supposed to be until the page resizes to full size. It would be nice to add a simple "if collapsed do nothing, else show google ads" to the template.

The collapse function is done on the client side and the page already loaded so I doubt it will usefull.

Well, this would be nice to do to the entire sidebar so that there isn't the loading issue I'm having either, and it will cut down on page load too.

If you have loading problem you can do the following to enhance your website speed.
1. Use sore css as file
2. Don't use too many blocks that's is calling the DB. If it is a must then use some of these block on somepages and others on other pages. E.g block1 will show on forums page block2 will show on threads and so on.
3.You can also use ajax to load blocks after page loads.

The only loading problem is that with the sidebar collapsed, it has a big gap on the right of the page for about a second until it collapses. Will 'store CSS as file' fix this?

Well, if you register and have the right to vote then you will see that it doesn't work. It only works if you have already voted or you don't have the right to vote.

This is related to store style as file. You need to make sure to chmod the vbulletin_css directory to 777. You make sure that directory styleXXXXX does exist after switching store to file Off then On.

You can search vbulletin.com for similar situations

ESidebar's code are so f... ugly... btw:

If you're using HTML blocks (especially <li> tag), you could notify that 1.5.0 broke your footer. Here's how to fix this:

Go to Plugins -> Modules, find module "sidebar_global", edit it:

Find $fullblocks = explode('<li>',$sidebar_str);
Replace with #$fullblocks = explode('<li>',$sidebar_str);
# fix by Arhivarius @ Forum-Grad
$fullblocks = preg_split("/<li>\s+<div class=\"block/i", $sidebar_str);

Don't know what you want? You started that you have error in the registration page !!!

Anyway i advice you to use the default mod don't use codes from here and there. If in some cases you have a <li> tag in some custom block then just replace the <li></li> with <LI></LI> in the custom block and you are done.

Yes I red all your posts. Must be something wrong either with your forums or the code you changed in the mod. If it is doing this with everyone using the mod nobody would use it! Don't you think so?

On a user's profile page (even though sidebar is set to no), their profile picture will not display if Everywhere Sidebar is enabled.

No you are right it is a bug only when setting "Don't hide ESB switch." to yes.

The only workaround for now is to set "Don't hide ESB switch." to No or set the sidebar to bigger values like 250 or 270px

There is a bug in 1.5.1 so I removed it, but i see you already updated your mod to 1.5.2.

Version 1.5.2 of the product "works" with vBulletin 4.2 with one caveat. There is a new activity stream feature added (activity.php) and there is no way to enable sidebar for the Activity Stream from the settings.

I'm adding different blocks to different subforums, but ALL of the blocks are showing up on the main forum page. They are filtering great on the subforums, but how do I keep them all from stacking up on the main forum page? I've got a set of blocks already that I'd like on the main forum home, but not any of these additional "new forum thread" boxes.

I'm having trouble understanding the instructions of "To hide a block from all forums just add "blockid:"."

So I want to display block 15 in ONLY forum 13, so which is the correct configuration because I've tried them all:

Thanks for the response but I'm afraid I'm still getting the wrong results.

I'm testing this out with two different blocks, sent to two different forums.

For example, my Camping forum is #13 and I am sending block_threads_15 to that forum (successfully)
My Biking forum is #20 and I'm sending block_threads_23 to that forum (successfully again)

All of my other forums are not seeing these blocks, successfully again.

But what I do have a problem with is both of those blocks are displaying on my main forum sidebar, which I do not want. I've got 19 potential blocks that I will be sending to the 19 different subforums and I don't want all 19 of them displaying on the main forum page.

In the screenshots below I'll show the configuration I've got. I've got the correct "filter blocks" code for the two blocks and forums (right?) and then I'll show you how both of these blocks are displaying on my main forum page, but then filter out in the subforums correctly. I've even attached a screenshot of where neither of my filtered blocks are showing in the unrelated forums, that is working correctly also. I just don't want these blocks to show on my main forum home.

First please update the mod to 1.5.2 as there is abug in 1.5.1

Second yes if you enable the block for forum say 13 then the block will show up on the forum display and on its threads. It is intended.

I update forum to 4.2 and ES to 1.5.2. When I enable plugin, sidebar alwayys shows on right side, even if I set it to 'Left' in AdminCP->Options->Forum sidebar and block options. If I disable Everywhere sidebar, then sidebar shows on left.

You upload "cssrollup_everywhere_sidebar.xml" to /includes/xml directory.
You import product-everywhere_sidebar_1.5.2.xml

The default CMS option to add a Widget Poll along the right column... the Polls only display if people are logged in. The poll will not display to guests.

does your mod make it so Polls in sidebar can appear to all ? (guests as well)

Installed the newest version (2.2.10) and the Filter by Usergroups, (using Additional Usergroup ID's) works now.
