I have version 1.0.7 installed on my board (which I inherited, so I didn`t do the 1.07 installation), and after I upgraded to vBulletin 3.8.3 the Arcade doesn`t work. Can I simply uninstall the existing version and install 1.1.1, or is there anything else I need to do?

Have you modified any of the templates? Do you have any other arcade system installed? If v3A is the only arcade system you have installed, try re-importing the product XML making sure that you select the option to "Allow ovewrite" during the import.

We have locked the set of new features & code rewrites and are now concentrating on any remaining issues & cleanup. Unless any show stoppers are found with Beta builds, we should be at Gold status shortly.

With 1.1.1, the easiest way of disabling *just* the NavBar would be to disable the plugin named "NavBar: Arcade Link" in the ACP.

Is the beta 2.0.0 will be released in public?The alpha & beta versions are available to those with a Branding Free License as a "Thank You" for their support. When it is released as Gold, we will post it here.

So far we have found some small issues with Beta 1 that we have to clean up and package as a Beta 2 but nothing major. What is taking the longest amount of time is going back and checking to make sure we did not break any of the existing features since a lot of the actual code behind-the-scenes was rewritten along with a lot of template cleanup.

We are also looking for volunteers who are interested in helping out with getting an updated IBP to v3A converter done.

Ever game you play, it tells you that you got the highest score, even when the score table to the right clearly shows you didn't! (This table isn't updated - so the real high score stays intact) but it does say you beat 100% of all previous scores!

Ok I was able to duplicate...here is how I re-created.

User one, challenges user two. Challenge goes through and is allowed completion. (game was chopper challenge)

User two, challenges user one. User two is able to play their part, however, user one receives the message when attempting to accept challenge of: (game was again chopper challenge)

"Our records show that you've already played your part in this challenge before. Only one score can be submitted per challenge."

Sorry to hear that bud, I just got over being sick myself. Well, I am not looking for any conversion or anything like that just looking for a stable arcade mod. IPB has worked great before, but now I see reports of errors and certain exploits and ZeroPage hasn't responded in a while about it..so not sure what's up.

Does anyone know of a way to have the crowns drop down to another line at a certain number so it wont push the post window outside of out theme?

Out of interest with the new upgrade are there more games? I'm sitting here with over 2000 games I would be more than happy to share this with everyone through yourselves, I realise that amount of games would take a lot of work however can you imagine the interest if you can release a hack with so many pre bundled games?

Otherwise I would recommend people look forward to the release of v3 Arcade 2.0.0 which will give access to several thousand games through the MochiMedia network.

There is an old converter for the 1.0.x series available here (http://www.v3arcade.com/forums/showthread.php?t=324) but it is outdated and not supported.

For when v3A 2.0.0 is released an updated converter has been prepared by Brian and has been tested on a few sites already.


For 2.0.0 we have just a few things on the problem list yet before we release it. Essentially some problems are going on that we need to determine if they are unique to the server in question or if something else is going on.

All: Yes, the vB4 version is being worked on. :) As some of you may know, the Lead Developer for v3 Arcade is Brian/Tigga who is also the owner & developer of the vBadvanced (http://www.vbadvanced.com) family of products. We understand everybody wants an updated version for vB4, and we're working on it, but for a truly integrated script like v3A is then it is not a quick & painless task.

All: The quickest way of getting my attention with a problem is over at v3A (http://www.v3arcade.com). Responses are a little slow during weekends but during the week (except for holidays) somebody is usually around.

The v3A support site is not a game distribution site, was never meant to be one, and never will be one. If it is something that has been posted publicly just point us in the direction and we'll give an updated copy. If it is a private hack/add-on, contact us somewhere (best place is over at v3A.com) and we'll point you in the right direction.

- As TMH63 (thanks!) pointed out, the new crossdomain.xml file is only if you are going to be using the new MochiAds integration features. If you're looking for new games and a chance to earn a little bit at the same time, it's a great feature.

I have two working arcades, one is ibpro and i just installed V3 on a new forum with the default games, all working, just one problem... with my older arcade setup and another site i have downloaded all the games there etc (rather than trying to download the setups again as the import didn't work for me) and i have been manually adding them... which work apart from scores, the page is blank with the url http://www.mysite.com/index.php?act=Arcade&do=newscore, when i manually add a game i select ibpro-system and it all starts and shows images, just those scores... anything i can do? please advise thanks

Are you using something like vBa CMPS or is it totally a one-off script? In your custom script do you have any of the hooks defined that would be normally in the forum's index.php?

Well, I've been waiting for over 2 weeks now on a simple fix for the Multi-color crowns. I have vBAdvanced, and all seems to work fine. However, the multi-color crowns don't work.

I don't understand why it should take 2 weeks for an answer. I check other threads and so many go unanswered over on the v3arcade forum. Maybe if you ignore them, they go away, but I and others would like to know how to fix the issue.

If the devs of v3arcade don't want to help, can someone else help? The trophies and gold crowns seem to work. It's only the multi-color crowns that don't. The code to pick up the random files seems to be missing, so it's only looking for forum/images/arcade/ instead of forum/images/arcade/crown1.gif and so on.

Sorry, but it just gets annoying checking every day and there's nothing. I started the thread on Feb 14th and still waiting for a solution :(

BUT when it goes to submit the highscore it takes me to a page and says "You do not have permission to view this, blah blah blah"

I've gone through all the settings and cannot figure out why it's blocking ME the ADMIN/OWNER to submit highscore?

OK, so shame on me. I guess they are working on 4.0 and issues like mine just don't qualify for a fix.

Honestly, I think it's just more of a golly they don't know and if they ignore it or keep asking questions, it will go away. I search through the threads on their forum, and they are just in the habit of ignoring or asking until the OP just leaves. I am starting to think the one with the info just doesn't visit the forums.

I feel sorry for those with major issue where other posters are having to try to help, because the oh so busy coders are just absent for a week. Looks like they are gone even longer on this thread. Yikes.

Sorry, but the it's free so take what you get isn't cool either. With only 47 games and poor service, I am understanding why so many are switchng back. I understand the coders have a life, but if you are ever thinking of charging for this, maybe change around your priorities a bit.

With all of the Mochiad issues, I don't even dare use any of those games. My forum will get messed up, and I'd have to just wait for a fix until they felt like trying to help.

I'm sure I'll get the "good riddance", but when forum owners are getting errors and things not working right, their members just don't understand the whole "We'll, I'm still waiting for a fix" after over two weeks. My members really liked the multi-colored crowns, which is why I was really trying to get it fixed. Telling me it's a minor issue and not worth the time doesn't sound good to my members. Not to mention that you haven't responded to many of the other posts, so they must not be worth the time either.

For v3A & Mochi games, no, since those don't go back to the generic 'index.php' script. For IPB games then you'll have an issue. This afternoon or tonight I'll write up a post with the manual edits you'll need to make.

Sorry if this has been asked already, but the problem I have is with Usergroup Permissions...

It would seem there's an extra line after the "Can Delete Any Scores" permission setting. There's no text, but a radio button selection where one can select "Yes" or "No"...but, like I said, there's no text describing what that selection is for. It then carries on with the ability to set the Minimum Posts Required to Play, etc.

Other than that...it's all good.

Seriously, though... it's a problem with the phrase. The phrase "can_override_permission_checks" should have a 'phrase type' value of "Permissions" and it doesn't so when viewing the ACP the option is showing but not the phrase.

This setting allows the user to override checks for permissions and other critera in games. For example, inactive games can be seen and played by the usergroup if this is enabled. Thank you for pointing this out. :cool:

I will include this fix in the next refresh. It won't hurt nothing in the interim but if you want to include fix it locally in the interim it is just a matter of changing the phrase type in Phrase Manager.

Have ran into an issue and not sure if it's a recent upgrade to Firefox, or the mod itself.

I've seen a few people report this over at v3A.com as well (took the day off yesterday, catching up on my To Do list today) and I'll try to recreate this. I may be related to a problem that was to have been patched back in the 1.1.1 release but it may have had an unintended offset. :o

I think you may have misunderstood me...

I'm no longer using the IPBArcade mod that is listed here on vB.org. Thad has long since been uninstalled and there are no product/plugin files associated with that mod installed in my forum.

I went to another site that has those games...and I'm not sure if I can mention it here...so, I won't. But a simple Google search ill direct you to those games.

I downloaded the tar files and uploaded them as specified in the Import instructions via the Admin Control Panel. The install went fine...it's just that the issue with the new high scores not being reflected as the actual high score. It will show the score in the user's profile tab, but will not record it as the new high score. It only happens when nobody else has played the game...and one beats their own high score.

I think you may have misunderstood me...I got ya'. ;) Tried duplicating the issue last night but with no success. But it may have been because I was doing a 'wipe all scores' first and then trying to get the problem to happen again (played an IPB game, got a score, played again and got a higher score, but the new score was recording fine). Still looking into it.

Hi Everyone I've been running v3 Arcade since 2006 v1.0.6 and its been running great.

I went ahead and upgraded from v1.0.6 to the latest and everything is great.

One slight problem is, I had the addon plugin to allow installation of games through IMPEX I guess v1.0.6 didnt have a good installation feature.

Now in my Admin Panel I see *[arcade_settings]* which is a left over from the older v3 Arcade.

How can I remove this? anyone know which files to edit?

For the Mac, there have been some occasional reports of having problems with the zip files created from our download system (but they should be fine on a PC).

Well at the time I was running the latest Firefox & Windows XP Pro. Now I'm running Windows 7. The same thing happened to others who have tried to access it. I do not know what they were using. It may be related to the custom areas of the site, I'm not really too sure on that.

This is becoming more than a Joke, how the Hell is this a Professional Gaming Script if IT DOESNT WORK :@ every time i install it The Game Installation FREEZES when installing Mochi Games.... Works on Most then you get the odd one which freezes, Browser then stops loading the game installation and your stuck, you carnt install another one, Because you carnt remove the broken Game... I have included the Picture of it froze... I think im going back to ibProArcade - professional Arcade System because everytime i install that at least it installs games (Well when the Website to download them is open..)

If anyone else seems to be having the same trouble, i worked out the query.
In your phpmyadmin, it will already be showing as zero, but running this query will make all games be HIGHEST SCORE WINS.

UPDATE vb_v3arcade_games SET isreverse=1
Make sure you rename the vb_ , to your own table prefix.

I know you have a bit of custom code you're using for the negative rep issue so you'd need to re-implement that.

Are your forum URLs set correctly? (ACP => vBulletin Options => Site Name / URL / Contact Details) Most of the paths are calculated using those values.

I'm a premium member over at the v3 Arcade forums. There's a thread about this over there, but it's hasn't gotten any kind of official response since I posted it a couple of days ago.

A group of us who updated to vBulletin 4.04 have had flawed Mochimedia integration ever since. I can add new Mochi games, and they have no trouble communicating with the high score server at Mochimedia, but the v3 Arcade leaderboards are not updated. Users who break the posted high scores are complaining, and we cannot run any tournaments with Mochi games.

Please advise. I can downgrade to an earlier version, but that was kind of spotty sometimes. Maybe there is a template fix I can apply? You said we were very close to a release candidate, so I'm hoping there's an easy solution.

When I upgrade a a test board, and installed arcade, everything works great.

When I navigate between the blog/cms/forum tabs, the correct site title is displayed on the top of Firefox. When I go to Arcade, it displays a different name.

(I did this from a copy of a board with a different title).

Attached are the correct and incorrect images.

Any thoughts?

Disregard, uninstalling the product, and reinstalling seems to have resolved it.
