Is there anywhere else I can get this mod? I simply cant extract this zip file on any PC I've tried here. (IE or FF) When I view the file I see some MacOSX files in the zip and then inside the "upload" folder all the files are 0 kb ... And I have DL this file on 4 different PCs at this point all with the same result...really want this mod!! Please let me know where else I can grab it.

Hi Kerry-Anne and other folks,

Would it be a simple process for you to add time or date or other options like the Notices function has? For me it would be great to have the ability of Notices included in this mod.

I don't know how server intensive this extra coding would be, or even if anyone else would like to have such options as well. I'm just throwing the idea out for comment.

I'm not promising at this point, but I will add it to the 3.0 wish list.

Make sure you have also set the usergroup permissions to be able to view the columns.

I've been trying everything I can think of, most especially reading and rereading the instructions, to get an install. I develop software myself, so I hate to give in ask for advise, but I can't think of anything left to do.

I've uploaded the files, then went back to remove the usc_upgrade.php file.

I've imported the product-ka_ultimate_sidecolumns_2-0.xml

This part works fine. I get 2.0 installed.

Next, I go to import product-ka_ultimate_sidecolumns_2-1.xml

No luck. I made sure to check the "overwrite" box. I get a blank page when importing. No error, just a blank white page.

Same with product-ka_ultimate_sidecolumn_2-2.xml

I've uninstalled everything. Tried to import 2-2 first. No luck, blank white page. The only file I can import, is the 2-0 file.

If I go to userpermissions, I can see the user options at the very bottom. There is no text next to them, but looking at the code, I can make out these are the settings for usc.

If I set an option and save, I get a database error:

MySQL Error : Unknown column 'uscpermissions' in 'field list'

Thinking that maybe I don't have permission to alter the tables, I do a search and find this page:

I add my user id. Try again. No luck.

Very basic VB installation. In fact, still using the default VB theme. Current version is 3.7.0.

Appreciate any advice. Just want to get it to the 2.2 version.

This could be because the product file is quite large and you have suhosin on your server although normally that would give a forbidden message not a blank page.

Version 2.0 is stable, and should not have the files uploaded. If I recall correctly 2.0 doesn't have the custom links section in it, but it certainly doesn't have the permissions and therefore must not have the bitfields file uploaded.

Yes, simply add the ad code to the block template where you want it to be displayed.

Use the manual edits but put the $usc_left (or whatever the variable is called) next to the $use_right in the footer instead of the header. You still need to edit the header with the rest of the code, but just omit the variable and add it next to the other one in the footer.

I have my page width set at 960 px, I don't know if that affects the install. Any ideas on how I can fix this?

Reupload the files then reimport the product setting Allow Overwrite to Yes

This zip file is corrupted.

As it is only you that is reporting this, it is something on your computer that is causign this, most likely a firewall or antivirus. Disable them, download the file, then reenable them.

I tried to move the $spacer_open part to the navbar to get the wifth of the header for the navbar, but this little mod doesn't work with the USC 2.2 - I changed the parts in the xml wich says:
$vbulletin->templatecache['header'] = $vbulletin->templatecache['header'] . '";$spacer_open="';

to:

$vbulletin->templatecache['navbar'] = $vbulletin->templatecache['navbar'] . '";$spacer_open="';

and it seems to work.

I don't think, that you can change your mod to do this automagically, but I wanted to mention it, since it gave me a big headache. :eek:

I've installed this & it's working great, apart from one small problem. I have it set to display below header and above navbar. But the column is lower than it should be, see here (http://www.wdisneyw.com/forums/index.php).

In the usc_sidecolumn_left and usc_sidecolumn_right templates there is a <br /> near the start of the templates. Delete it from both templates.

how i can make the side banner more closer with the side forum.

It uses the spacer width in the stylevars for your style for the spacing. You would need to reduce your spacer width in your stylevars.

I just upgraded to VB 3.7, USC 2.2 and VBA CMPS 3.01 - prior to this I had no alignment issue. Now, my right (USC) column has dropped to the left side below all content - see here (http://www.xpmediacentre.com.au).

I don't know where to go with this since I can't be sure if it's a a VBA CMPS issue or a combination of VBA & USC, so I'm posting it with both authors in the hope I can find a fix.

On first glance it would seem likely that it's a style problem, the same problem presents when I select the default VB skin - see here (http://www.xpmediacentre.com.au/community/index.php?styleid=18) - then go to http://www.xpmediacentre.com.au/.

As can be seen, I have no problem with the main forum pages, just the portal page. I'm guessing that it's related to a rogue <div> problem, but having scoured my templates and the forums here and over at VBA - I'm at a loss as to where to look next.

Any help would be much appreciated.

I'm not running vBAdvanced at the moment (well I am but not in the same place as I am running USC). I'll need to install it on my dev board when I get time and see what is going on. It's most likely to be a style issue or a malformed template though. If you can enable the template comments on your forum and poke me here when you have done it, I can look over your page source and see if I can locate the issue that way.

You are missing the start of the main table.

Did you use the manual edits? If you did, make sure you have done the header edit.

If you have used the automatic edit, please let me know which automatic edit setting you have chosen then I can look into it.

I have two licensed forums - a local mom's group (not visible to unregistered guests) and a national version of that site that is guest viewable. The local group is older and much more active since the national version has not yet officially "launched" (meaning it is open and members of the local group have been told about it, but there hasn't been a concerted effort to bring new members in as we are planning that in July for our official launch)

To facilitate the launch and to help members of the local group remember to check and comment on posts on the national group, I'd like to set up a side column on the main forum page of the local group that has links to the 10 or so most recent posts on from the national site. (That when clicked would drive the member to the national site to read the thread).

Can I do that using this product? Can you give me a tip on what I would put in the side box to pull the information off the other site?

There are some instructions on vB.com for showing the latest threads in a HTML page. Use these in one of the block templates but make sure you use full urls otherwise it will pull the info for the site that you are displaying it on not the other site.

Thanksmake sure you are using a fluid width. Some fixed width styles have this behaviour due to the way they are coded.

I've tried searching and troubleshooting for a few hours now, and I haven't been able to fix my problem.

I just did a fresh install of 2.2, and for some reason, the left column won't show up at all, and the right column shows up at the very bottom of the screen. Aside from the general setup configurations, does anyone know what could be causing this problem?

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

UPDATE: I actually resolved the problem right after I posted. It turns out the tweak that I used to attempt to use to make it work didn't get submitted... so now it's all working! Thanks Kerry-Anne for this FANTASTIC module.

Have a look in you USC options in the vBOptions to see which you are using.Sorry Kerry-Anne, but I can't see anything there which relates to template editing type unless you mean the radio button at bottom - there I've selected "below navbar and below notices".

I've provided a screenshot (link below) which shows all my USC options.

Also, should I still leave the "orphan" column on my main VBA page for your reference or do you have what you need, until this is fixed I'd like to disable USC there since it looks a little weird.

It's possible that your style does not have the required code for the auto edit in this location. Use the manual template edit setting and edit the templates to add the start and end code. The instructions are in the downloaded files.

Hey I have another question. I only have my left hand column enabled right now and that is all I want for now. I am putting google adsense in the side column. However I my page will only display a max of 2 ads in the column. How do I change this?

Also, is it possible to make it so there is a bit more space between the ads rather than them being right on top of each other?

Also, the only thing that appears even when i click the boxes such as search or user cp to display, all i get is the column Header? I have set the permissions for everyone to see the columns.

Keep this in mind. You probably have another google ad somewhere in the page right? maybe a banner at the top?

Google AdSense only allows 3 TOTAL ads in one webpage. so if you have a banner on top, the columns can only display two more ads

ya you are right i have a banner. however i also have a google referral ad at the bottom too. do those ones not count. is it only 3 ads for content allowed per page. so i could put up yahoo ads then if i wanted to put up a few more and get a wider variety of advertisers right?

They're different. you can have 3 google for content ads on one page, a google search, and a google referral. That's ok.

You might want to check the terms of service but I don't believe google allows you to run Yahoo ads on the same pages it's ads are on.

Ok guys me too. I set the user permissions to show up to everyone. I can find blocks 1-20. I have posted adsense in 2 of the blocks and they appear. However when I click in the usc options to have other things such as posts show up, nothing shows up except the column title. Same with you guys?

Wow, this really threw my vBadvanced page for a loop. It resized everything completely out (I have 975 fixed on a default skin) and I wasn't able to get anything to show in the other pages.

I uninstalled the xml file and the vBadvanced page went back to normal.

I'd really like this for my forum home and the rest of the pages. But, the fact that it's actually affecting my portal is not working for me.

Can someone give me some pointers because I'd love to have this great hack on my site?

Is there any way to modify this so that the columns appear underneath the navbar rather than beside it. I want them to appear to be more a part of the content of my site, rather than right next to it. So, essentially the content would shrink horizontally but the navbar and breadcrumb and header would stretch on top of it.

Sorry if this has been mentioned, i've been thru all 21 pages of this topic. I have no problem getting the side columns to show, but have a problem showing correctly as I am using a fixed skin.

I'd like the to show outside the fixed skin on either side, but not sure where to put the manual code.

I did add the code in and all it did was place it inside the fixed skin which then broke the skin. Any advice would be good thanx...

There is a read me text doc and it explains all in there

in your style templates... look for Ultimate Side Columns, and add ur text to the different templates .. blocks 1 - 10 are for the left side and 11-20 are for the right side.

Oh GOSH! I feel like such an idiot. I've been putting in 10 hours a day on the new design for the past few days - so I was a little groggy and missed the Usergroup Permissions. I did look actually - but missed anyway LOL - I did find and the modification works just fine - I don't think it'll be anygood with my new design though unfortunately - The columns stretch out the table and looks kinda weird.

You have to add the html code in the block templates as mentioned in the included directions files. The selections you see in the AdminCP is for which PAGES you actually want the side column to show up on - there's one for the right side and one for the left side as well. The code you will use to fill the blocks' content is gonna be html code - The templates are Ultimate Side Columns Templates --> usc_block_1 through usc_block_20

Would someone post a couple of examples of info in the blocks. I understand that it's simple HTML code. I personally can get that...but, a few samples of data like: Latest thread, User with Highest Post Count, Hottest Thread, etc.

I'm a newbee and ... to be perfectly honest here, the instructions that inform you that experience is required to make this mod work is completely left out of the instructions before the download. After the download...and well into the read me...the instructions state that we are to create this on our own. I'm not complaining, but...it would have been appropriate to have a NewBee Warning!... Coding Required!

Ok let me try a different approach. I don't speak code and I'm not a programmer! I spend my days as a locksmith and firearms instructor I know just enough HTML to get by and I learn as I go.

Upload to forum directory (with this I use SmartFTP, drag over and uploaded)

Now I can't find usc_upgrade.php in AdminCP directory to delete it?

Just use a basic WYSIWYG html editor and paste the source code into the usc_block templates. You can make it as simple or as complex as you like and keep it so only you - admin - can see the result to start with, so you can experiment and make errors and no one's laughing at you! :p Then switch it on for members/guests/whoever to see when you're satisfied.

OK this seems to break a couple of other javascript things for people on IE and Firefox - basically the Search dropdown and quicklinks drop down doesn't work and the whole sidebar doesn't display??? Any clues to fixing this one or anyone else had this problem? I've not edited anything I'm aware of that would cause this to happen.

Now this is what has taken place, I went in and removed USC_22 out of my vBulletin file and down loaded it again, unzip folder, uploaded it into forums folder by drag and drop in SmartFTP!

Opened USC_22 folder in SmartFTP> upload> admincp>and then I see :eek:usc_upgrade.php wasn't there before? I delete it-"gone"!

Now I'm still having issues with the (import the xml as a product)? I have been trying the browse thing in Import Plugin Definitions but this doesn't seem to work :confused:and I've did the browse upload thing many time. would I handle this in SmartFTP by drag over and drop the file in forums? I also see it in my server cp file manager??

Depending on if you upgrade, or fresh install you will want to tell the reader this option. I did a fresh install and out of habit I clicked the "allow overwrite" option. Then press the <import> icon/button and it will list the styles it is adding the templates to. With this product in the install instructions the "upgrade" path may be a little different between the last version and this one.

The ones with strike through are ones you have disbled.

You only need to install one version.

If you installed 2.0 and 2.2 then that may be what your problem is.

Uninstall both ( do not remoave the files) and re-install only the 2-2 XML. I am thinking she included all versions of 2.x to give users more flexibility in their installation.

I am new to forums and new around here.. but certainly not new to building sites, etc. Anyway... building forums is a whole new world for me although I grasp the basics as I am used to HTML, CSS, RTML for you yahooers. Anyway, I just tried installing this, two questions, one, I have "re-skinned" the forum with one of miners skins, the sidebars are not showing up, could this be a cause, that I have re-skinned the forum that is?

My other question is I downloaded the Mini Navbar: Breadcrumb at Bottom of Thread
Version: 1.0.4, prior and in the installed products screen it put a slash through the name . I guess the USC plug in cancels out the Mini Navbar plugin?

You have to enable each user to be able to see the columns in their user group settings.

The blocks will not show unless they have some content in them. If the blocks have no content then they will not show up. Find a usc template for a block and paste an add code in it and it will show up. I just enabled admins to see them as I was installing and testing.

I am not sure on the mininavbar, I have not installed that product. There are several options in the control panel for where on the page the column will show. you can have it show with or below the navbar as well as start at the top of the page.

Well I guess the skin isnt the problem as I put it in default mode and they still arent showing. This was a fresh install so I uploaded the admincp folder and merged that with the existing so it has

root/forums/admincp
root/forums/includes
root/forums/.dsstore
root/forums/usc_cp

I then went in and uploaded the 2.2 xml.. then read since this was a fresh install 2.1 maybe should of been uploaded.. so I deleted 2.2xml through the vb control panel/products screen... uploaded the 2.1xml and then the 2.2xml through the products screen both times allowing them to overwrite... I then edited the template and put <tr><td class="alt1">Hi</td></tr> as a tester in block one... I then went into the screen Setting Group: Ultimate Side Columns Options and enabled show left column, show right column and for it to show on all pages... still nothing. The only thing I can think of is as it was mentioned, there is a usergroup permissions that needs to be turned on.. can anyone point me to exactly where in the usergroup settings changes would need to be made? Otherwise.. I am a bit stumped..

I want the only LINKS people are able to choose for the CUSTOM BLOCK to be links to forums and/or sub forums on my site. How could I accomplish this?

I have a TON of forums on my site and it'd be nice to use the CUSTOM BLOCK in the upper left to be a "quick reference" so people can set their favorite forums and always have access to them.

Instead of the complicated link entry featured now, you would just tick off check marks next to the forums you wanted to add and they would be added.

Anyone? Help appreciated!

When I enable column start point with: below header and above navbar
All my pages show good. eg. footer is not messed up.

However, when I choose below navbar and below notices or below notices and forum descriptions almost all my other pages, eg. registration page, calendar page are showing up weird, eg. my footer is all messed up. Even with it disabled to not show on those pages they are still showing up weird.

So currently I have it set to below header and above navbar however ideally I like the setting: below navbar and below notices better.

What code is it looking for when it is set to this option? Maybe one of my templates does not have the needed code? or maybe I will need to make the template edit manually in which case, what templates and code do I need to edit?

secondly, i feel like a total n00b for saying this but i can't even get the right column to work...
i followed the guide in the zip, enabled the right column in the vBulletin options > Ultimate Side Columns Options, then i tried to put some code onto the usc_block11 (i had no idea what i was doing here). I basically just want to make adsense ads show up in a right column. This is my code:

I am using the sidebar (Which I love, and thank you very much!!!), However, I cannot seem to get the blocks to show as "Individual" blocks.

For example, in the left hand column I am using Block 1 - which shows navigation buttons.

In Block 2, I have the following code

Yes. That is the main purpose for it.

This is a known bug. Set the display order to 0 for the items you don't want to show any longer.

If you have applied manual template edits then ensure that you have turned off the auto edits in the USC options by selecting the manual edits.

Moving the collapse button causes it to disappear when collapsed or the column to not collapse. Load times are not affected by this, and are usually due to style issues.

Ensure that you have enabled the columns in both the options and in the usergroup permissions/usergroup manager.

The auto edits may not work with modified styles and you should use the manual template edits in this case.

USC does not disable or affect any other modifications.

This is common if you had the old version installed and have selected the auto template edits without removing the manual edits. It also happens if you have enabled the auto edits but also performed the manual template edits. You need to either remove the manual template edits or change the auto template option to the use manual edits option.

I added a stike through the code to be removed and bold for the code to be added.
When I enable column start point with: below header and above navbar
All my pages show good. eg. footer is not messed up.

However, when I choose below navbar and below notices or below notices and forum descriptions almost all my other pages, eg. registration page, calendar page are showing up weird, eg. my footer is all messed up. Even with it disabled to not show on those pages they are still showing up weird.


So currently I have it set to below header and above navbar however ideally I like the setting: below navbar and below notices better.

What code is it looking for when it is set to this option? Maybe one of my templates does not have the needed code? or maybe I will need to make the template edit manually in which case, what templates and code do I need to edit?

secondly, i feel like a total n00b for saying this but i can't even get the right column to work...
i followed the guide in the zip, enabled the right column in the vBulletin options > Ultimate Side Columns Options, then i tried to put some code onto the usc_block11 (i had no idea what i was doing here). I basically just want to make adsense ads show up in a right column. This is my code:

I am using the sidebar (Which I love, and thank you very much!!!), However, I cannot seem to get the blocks to show as "Individual" blocks.

If you have applied manual template edits then ensure that you have turned off the auto edits in the USC options by selecting the manual edits..
But if I do that they dissapear? You do mean under vBulleting options/Ultimate Site Columns Options and then Column Start Point - I will edit the templates myself - thanks anyway, right?

Hi, i have my right column working however on page load my entire page loads, then the column appears. So it's big page, then crunch down when the column appears. This is quite visually distracting to say the least. Is there any way around this? Thanks!

Could someone please tell me what is wrong on my page (www.ontopic.dk), you shpuld be able to see the right column.

As I see it I have these problems:

2. And the footer that has moved up under the right side blocks? I'm thinking this is due to me not clossing some tags?

3. Search button and field doesn't work.

4. Latest posts doesn't work as it don't change and turns new posts bold.

Great Addon -- needing only a few items to be perfect. Most dealing with the Custom Contents.

1. In the User CP -- if you add a title with an ', you will get a database error. IE: Dave's We Site

2. There is no edit to correct an error in a link

3. No way to add a secure link -- as you assume http:// -- not allowing for https://

4. The Delete doesn't work -- and the work around to remove a cutom link from displaying is to set the order to 0

I would think that these would be easy items to address. Because too many of my members are as dumb as a sack of hammers when it comes to the Internet -- they won't know ho to deal with any of the above.

I found a bug in this product. There is a certain situation which causes the template not to draw correctly and the right column to draw in its own table.

To reproduce this:

1 - Right column "on"
2 - Display pages in right column "search"
3 - Starting point - "below navbar and below notices"
4 - Click "new posts" when there are no posts to display.

This works correctly if there are posts, just not if there "no posts found' box shows up.

I have attached an image showing this.

If i choose "below header and above navbar" it works fine.
If there are posts showing in "new posts" it works fine.

I added Ultimate Side Columns to my who's online page to test it.
Worked great. But, I then noticed that all member profile pages were distorted.

I found a bug in this product. There is a certain situation which causes the template not to draw correctly and the right column to draw in its own table.


I think i've fixed the issue (at least for me). It requires an additional plugin. What happens is on an error page such as the one that occurs on the "getnew" returning no posts, the error page clears the navbar template. This causes the auto-template to draw the starting table to not be created.

This happens in functions.php lines 2824 + 2836.

The following plugin will fix this issue. It may occur on other error pages also, but i only tested for the occasion listed in my original post.

I think thats related to the error i tried to fix above.

Try changing your location to above navbar instead of below - that might fix your issue.

i solved the problem by uploading my layout and reverting all templates to 3.7 to see what the problem is... so here's what it was

in template "header" put this code @ the end

oh yes for "column start point" i selected (below header and above navbar) the others don't seem to work so make sure you do that.

I turn on the LEFT/RIGHT column for all pages, and edited Block 1 and Block 10 in the templates, and chose to list it under my header.

Did you set usergroup permissions? For the usergroups you want to see the side columns, you need to turn on the right column for each of those groups, such as Admininstrator, Registered, etc.

Installed this some time ago and didn't think there was a problem till I checked the server error logs. Was getting a Fatal error: Cannot use assign-op operators with overloaded objects nor string offsets. Turns out this plugin also doesn't like the misc.php the error was steming from misc.php?do=bbcode. I went and found where you put in the fix for profile.php and added !='misc' for that one as well. Most likely a temp fix and look forward to a new update on this plugin.

I am having a problem getting the right col to show up. I have installed version 2.2, and went into usergroups and made all of my groups able to see the right col. I refresh my view of the forum, even log out and back in again and still no right column.

I put a table into block 11 (first block on right side) with just some simple text in it (test col) and this does not show up. See code below:

The only variable that is in my configuration that may be a problem is that I have the vBadvanced Dynamics addon installed. Not sure if this would cause this not to show up though since vBadvanced doesn't mess with col's in the forum to my knowledge.

but when I try to import bitfield_usc.xml ... I get an error "Invalid File Specified"

First Step...

Open FTP - > Open USC_22 Folder -> Open Upload Folder - > Open Includes Folder -> Open XML Folder -> Upload the bitfield_usc xml file to root/forums/includes/xml

Next step...

Open vBulletin Admincp -> Plugins & Products -> Manage Products -> Click "Add/Import Product" -> Under "Import Product" Box -> Click Browse -> Open "product-ka_ultimate_sidecolumn_2-2 XML Document in the USC_22 folder -> Click Import

And your done!

If this is all that needs to be done I hope that helped some people who are having trouble.

Don't forget to go to VB Options and Styles & Templates to edit the mod configurations to your likings :D

I'm having a problem when I view my board in 1024 px wide resolution. I'm using a fluid width style and only right blocks, but in 1024x768 it's not acting fluid - its acting as if it's fixed.

My main table width is 100% but its stopping half way in the middle of the right block and the right block is overflowing into the background. My right block was set at 300px.

I know this is pitiful, however I have had the side columns added to my website but I am not sure where to add the text that I want to show on the column? Im in the admincp in vb options and have gone to the utlimate side columns area! I am in the side columns options and see where to add the text but where inside this area do I add ?

Do I go into the <br/> area and add the text? I have added the title to the title area and nothing is showing?

Hello, I have problems with the actual posts..
If someone posts an image that causes side scrolling usually its just that post that causes it, and all subsequent posts are the correct size with no side scrolling.

With the sidebar installed, the whole thread sidescrolls and not just the thread containing the image...... Ive attached some screen shots, and wonder how I can fix this...

Also this mod slows down my board, I was wondering why..... and what I could do about that... pages open much much slower with the side columns hack active...

I also have a fatal server error in my error log as such:

you didnt upload the bitfield_usc.xml file to the includes/xml dir

i did the same mistake there too
anyhow, this hack doent work with 3.7.2 pl2
i installed all as i was supposed to but it doesnt work.

i saw that at the generated page there is no $usc_left and $usc_right as it should be

Just a guess here, since you didn't specify what happened to the Photopost installation, but try having the columns start in a different place. I had a skin go out of whack until I had the column start below the notices.

Has anyone figured out a way/plugin/block to display latest vBlog posts in the side column? vBlog entries are damn near invisible and this would seem to be the ideal way to address that? I now there's a way to do it in CMPS, but has anyone translated that into USC?

I got a problem - I have Logicain web templates (https://vborg.vbsupport.ru/showthread.php?t=186644) installed and can not get USC to display on them.

If I check all pages in AdminCP>USC options, it will display on the Logicain pages; BUT I have vBadvanced as the home page and I do not want USC to display there, so can not check all pages ...

...is there a way around this?

We faced something similar with trying to get USC showing up on Photoplog, but not wanting it on some other pages.

What I did was open the plugin "Ultimate Side Columns Processing" on the global_start hook location (ACP -> Plugins & Products -> Plugin Manager) and add a conditional to show the right column (we're just using the right column, not the left) like so:

So you'd need to find the THIS_SCRIPT value for Logicain Templates and then put a conditional in to that plugin to tell it to show whichever column you want for that THIS_SCRIPT value. Then you don't need to select "All Pages" and you can still pick and choose the other areas where you want it show up.

Installed this some time ago and didn't think there was a problem till I checked the server error logs. Was getting a Fatal error: Cannot use assign-op operators with overloaded objects nor string offsets. Turns out this plugin also doesn't like the misc.php the error was steming from misc.php?do=bbcode. I went and found where you put in the fix for profile.php and added !='misc' for that one as well. Most likely a temp fix and look forward to a new update on this plugin.

its excluded from profile.php pages due to a fatal error that the developer hasnt fixed properly yet. temp fix was to exclude the columns from profile.php. same problem occurs with misc.php.

If i add the manual template edits to the custom pages, below nav bar and above footer, it does not show. I'm sure others are looking for this type of thing. It would be awesome if we could organize it all in one place... PHP code to put in your sidebar for various cool features.

I know vBadvanced does this but with this plugin and pooling together our resources I think we can create a pretty darn powerful alternative.

Well THE #1 thing I'd love to see (and I'm sure anyone else running vBlog) is the ability to display latest Blogs/Comments. I totally don't understand the apparent lack of understanding that visibility of new blog entries is *crucial* to the success of blogs on a site, but the way it is nobody ever sees the new entries unless they go *looking* for them, and that's a recipe for a dead blog system.

If anyone has any ideas on a block to show new Blog Entries/comments we'd be glad to subsidize development of it in any way possible. We've got the search integration working, but that only works for members (we restrict searching to registered accounts). We need something that's visible *all* the time the way we could when we used CMPS and vBlogetin, that worked great.

"Fixed" it by editing the global_start plugin and removing the permissions constructs. Again, if anyone has a better way do let me know...

Hi everyone, if you can help, I'd appreciate it. In IE, Opera (but not Firefox or Flock), footer info has jumped under the USC right column. See photo below. Any idea how to fix this? Thanks so much.
